    I have only one critique.The camera should've been zoomed in a lot closer. He keeps saying "NOW YOU CAN SEE" but I can't really see 😐

    Thank you, Larry. I've had such bad luck with these trimmers. I've had them used on me in barbershops, and watched them in videos cutting flawlessly. But mine never cut. I've sharpened the blades, set the blades, and never got them to work properly. I think this may be the problem. I won't give up on them.

    If you loosen the screws that hold the stationary blade ,and shift The stationary blade down words it will do the same thing...... also when you stretch out the adjustment arm spring ,It tends to put pressure in a downward force on the stationary blade causing Unproper tension. The best way to explain this is having Center tension on the stationary blade. If the cutting blade has tension going upwards or down the words that's where it will fail in the long run

    Between this and the blades never being zeroed when you buy them new, I wonder if Andis has any quality check system. Seems like they ship new clippers all out of whack. 🤔

    • @bL3dbL4k
      @bL3dbL4k 7 років тому +2

      True. I bought 5 from Amazon. Only 2 cut good. Same adjustments to each. It's a hit or miss with each Outliner. And you rarely get one perfect out of the box.

    • @ruminating1596

      I think they do it because your common consumer is an idiot and would slice their head open and try and sue the company. SO the only true way to zero gap your blades is by voiding the warranty. Therefore, they can prove you altered them and they are guilt free.

    • @TraumaER
      @TraumaER 3 роки тому +2

      @@ruminating1596 wouldn't be surprised. And you got idiots using these clippers for other parts of the body and wind up finding a way to cut off something else. But yeah, I still have these going on 10+ years. Got a new blade just once. Use them a lot now since I cut my own hair again for last year and line up my own hair with them.

    • @ssaini5028
      @ssaini5028 8 років тому +4

      +Bestoftherest222 I went with the Wahl Detailers, out of the box they cut much closer than the Outliner

    • @williamswink5144
      @williamswink5144 7 років тому +4

      Bestoftherest222 they dont send them out adjusted because if youre inexperienced, you can slice someone open with zero gapped trimmers. they work well enough for home use out of the box
