- Hey guys! Today I wanted to try out the TikTok viral "Latte Makeup" trend. I love this warm, bronzy monochromatic look for summer so I followed original makeup artist Tanielle Jae's tutorial to see if I could recreate her look using what I have. I'd probably use lighter bronzers next time, but I'll definitely be wearing this kind of look again this summer! Have you tried latte makeup on yourself? I think the JLo product was too dark/warm/metallic on your skin. I think that sabotaged the base, but you salvaged it well. The eye look was gorgeous!

Haha I’ve always loved this trend because I’m not the biggest fan of orange undertones for makeup. The beauty mark looks so good on you defined! Especially with the sultry smoky browns. Brown/bronze isn’t revolutionary, but it’s definitely a trend as it’s cycling heavy contour back into popularity.

i like that those “trends” inspire people to use makeup that they already have instead of buying new products, but the names of those give me an ick 🤡 latte literally means milk 🤣 don’t even get me started on blueberry milk nails (and i love a very pale blue on the nails in the summer) 🤡 also i think what plays a role in that entire phenomenon is that gen z, who is basically dictating those “trends”, has not been around for the brown makeup craze in the 90s or early 2010s. it’s new to them 😃

58 years old and not on TikTok but I do enjoy scrolling through the videos posted as YT shorts. I came across the latte trend on the Hindash channel over the weekend and have watched a few videos to see how people have interpreted it. I have also seen the espresso look which has darker, smokier eyes. Winter where I live but I will be leaning into my Bobbi Brown Bronze face brick on ‘no make-up make-up’ days for a version of this look

I agree that eye look is gorgeous on you. I have to admit I tried the latte look with just the bronzers and the brown make up that I have. I like how it turned out and my husband even complimented my makeup. However it just seemed to me more like an autumn makeup look. The thing I noticed was that the bronzer was used in place of a blush so it's quite monochromatic.

I tried this trend and LOVED it!! I'm very pale but slightly more tanned than usual right now. I used the elf halo glow instead of the iconic London radiance booster, still wore a TEEENY bit of a skin tint, and then used my physicians formula bronzer on top. The key imo is making sure that none of the tones are too orangey and they're more neutral (for fairer skin). I love blush so I still used a brown-toned blush and I thought it really rounded out the look for me as well and brought that little bit of rosy tones that I needed

I'm so pale that I have such a hard time even wearing bronzer because I feel like I have a dirt smudge on my cheeks. if I did this on my whole face I would look like Pigpen from Charlie Brown!!!
Lol I feel that way with a lot of bronzers too! I think the key is sticking to super light bronzers if you have very fair skin!

Me too. Even light bronzers are a no no for me. From research on the internet, it sounds like I, at least, am a soft summer in terms of the color seasons, so that I should only use very pink bronzers or blush in place of bronzer. The only bronzer I have found that I like is is from an unfortunately discontinued brand (Meow Cosmetics), and it is literally a pink beige powder that is a couple shades darker than my skin tone. Wouldn't work for this look, but then, like you, I would never try this look on my very fair pink skin.

This is a bit more bronzer than I'm comfy with (I'm VERY pale). But I can see adapting it with more neutral/rosy tones that would work for me!

I love coffee anything, so loving the concept of this! The eye look is pretty, and love the lip shade on you! I'm not a fan of faux freckles...I don't think freckles/beauty marks are attractive, so not sure why adults would want to draw them on their face.
Aw I think natural freckles and beauty marks are super cute! It can be really hard to recreate them realistically though
