Gosh. I'm very glad this is older so I know everything came out well...that Bushka and Midge were fine..Oh you to ofcourse...😄 still the reflections were lovely and so was your purring engine!! 🤗
Very soothing in times of trouble. Thanks.
You're very welcome
Thank you for the relaxing view of the canals. Your commentary is soft and not overwhelming. Good for ASMR.
Very much enjoy the bow view. Makes me feel like I am on boat. I am editing my comment to explain I just recently found your vlog. So, I am a bit behind the date you posted video. Enjoyable despite delay.
Thank you. Welcome aboard! :-)
Hello, I am watching this series in 2021. Catching up with your later Vlogs. Nice to see the cats again. Cheers.
Thanks for watching!
Not the most scenic of canals at this point, not the best weather and the road noise was fearful, but as always you made it an 'I was almost there' experience. Great stuff, as always.
Thank you. I didn't much care for the Trent & Mersey canal between Middlewich and Stoke on Trent. Not one of my favourites.
Thank-you Phil for the ride! Hope you and the cats are feeling good especially during the virus. Myself and my 2 cats are good and healthy. Ray From Spring Hill, Florida USA
Thanks Ray, all good here so far.
@@NarrowboatJourneys I'm glad you're doing good. Recently watched narrowboat girl and mom had slight case of the Coronavirus and both doing better! Stay Safe and Healthy!
Finally got to watch this in our new cinema with its eight channel sound system.
Lovely pictures.
Lots of vivid soundscapes.
Clunks and whirrings and swooshes of vehicles. .and low grumbles from the ground..but still birdsong.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So much traffic, but great video with the pretty bridges & locks, and awesome swans. Glad for boaters that most of the canals don't run alongside roads like this.
Couldn't agree more!
Great sound Phil. Can't wait till you get somewhere more pleasant, with some bird life
Thank you. I hope so too.
I'm always waiting for your friendly wave at the end. It always sends me away happy!
Always enjoy waking up to find a new ‘Narrowboat Journey’s’ vlog. Thanks very much.
Ooh lovely sound and vision - thank you for sharing this with us please stay safe and well sending regards 👏❤️😁xxx
Thank you! You too!
Hi Phil thanks for keeping us entertained. Hopefully we can all get moving again soon. Cheers take care Alan.
Thank you. I hope so too.
All those swans ! 😯
Glad you got the rattle sorted out!
Thank you. It developed very slowly over several years and so went unnoticed for a long time. It was just normal!
I am enjoying your videos very much, but I would love to see footage of your beautiful cats once they are off the boat. X
Thank you. The towpath is so busy around here the cats won't go outside at all during the day.
Grt production values as always, these cats are famous and don't even know it'
Great vlog. Keep well Phil.
Thanks, you too!
Another great vid Phil. I'm cruising down that way myself in a few days and its super-helpful to get an advance view of likely mooring places etc, especially in Winter when we dont have so many daylight hours.
An evocation of a mode of transport from a bygone era. Yes, I'm almost nostalgic for busy, noisy roads.
Your new microphone does capture a lot of detail. The splash when a swan jumps in. The clunk of the boat touching the side. The reverb in the tunnels and locks. A quieter stretch of canal will be awesome to listen to.
Thank you. It's the 3D stereo imaging that's best about these microphones. The rest is down to the engine being quieter.
3D sound imaging is a more subtle effect I guess, but the swan splash in particular did seem to come from the proper side (I believe it's called "off side" in your country) while wearing headphones.
Excellent as ever , New mic well worth it, This is my locality the road is always (normally) busy. Be safe cheers H
Certainly noticed the sound changes. Pity about that road noise tho' ;-) I used to live a hundred metres or so from busy train tracks, and they never did bother me as much as trying to sleep near a busy road, something about those cars & trucks. Anyway . . . another lovely cruise. Love those kitties!
Nice to see video from you with all that's going on in the world. Happy you got the motor noise fixed. The sound is great and a wonderfully relaxing video too. Thank you for sharing. Boy, you can really hear that road noise now!
Really enjoyed the vlog once again brilliant and went quieter when you got away from the road take care stay safe you and the cats thankyou
Thanks 👍
Great vlog, sounded great through my 5.1 surround sound gizmo..
Thank you, good to hear.
Perhaps a polarised lens filter for those south bound glary days.
Look forward to your blogs, that trip must have a busy one with all the locks, we live within ear shot of a busy road, it is odd now there is much less noise! Take care and thank you
Thank you. I'm enjoying the quiet right now.
nice video again
Thank you. Glad you liked it.
Nice one again Phil :)
Thanks again! Pity the weather wasn't better for it.
Nice to see another of your videos. I'm still hoping to be on that section of canal in mid to late June this year, but my hopes are fading due to the continued COVID-19 situation and the problems of getting from one side of the Atlantic to the other.
I like the map view of your travels and have taken to following you along on the CRT website's map. It would be interesting if you gave a rough idea of the elapsed time from setting out to mooring up.
Thank you. Most of my trips are about 2-3 hours long.
