Have you considered reading anything by Rudyard Kipling, such as "The White Seal" "Kim", "The Maltese Cat", "How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin", or "The Cat Who Walked by Himself"? Everyone knows "The Jungle Book and maybe a couple of edited "Just So Stories"but maybe not the others or the originals.
There is another storyteller on UA-cam who does something a little bit like what you do. Her name is Granny McDuff, and she tends to shorten tame and Americanized the stories she tells. That is not a criticism. She is going for a different audience. However, one of the stories she told feels like a shorter version of a longer and very excellent book. I have not had any success in identifying the book. The title of the story is "when the crow cries". It has some wonderfully original ideas, such as users of magic who have families. I will add that URL of the shorter story, and if you can discover the book, this might be an excellent thing to read in the original version. ua-cam.com/video/y10LjVwgvLU/v-deo.html
Very touching indeed
It really is. And with an important reminder to sometimes remember to appreciate the things you have.
Touched my heart
I hope you enjoyed it!
Thank you for the story. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ❤
You are very welcome! I hope you enjoyed it, and Merry Christmas to you as well!

Thank you for your suggestion. He is definitely on my list of authors! You can be sure to see something from Kipling on my channel at some point!
