I'm with all of you suffering anxiety right now. Life can be hard but never give up. Keep going. The Lord has your back.
This sermon was so awesome! Currently I'm going through a difficult time in my life right now struggling with all sorts of anxiety about different things that were really caused by my own doing, but I know as long as I trust Jesus he will bring me through it all! The hard part for me is just staying consistent and commit to trusting him. It seems that my commitment to trusting God is like a roller coaster, it's up and down side to side, just all over the place. I find myself going to church and watching sermons online and its all really helpful stuff but it doesn't sustain me to be consistent within my own walk with Jesus. I feel like I just need to lock myself in a room with nothing but a bible and some food and just try to get close to God in order to break some bad patterns in my life that are causing me to feel anxiety.
Nathan, I know how you feel 👌. Sounds like a lot of what I'm going through. More bad days than good ones I tell you. I'm lonely, isolated, and depressed, and I'm usually a happy person in despite of any situation. I need to stay locked inside with my Bible, pray and fast, but it's so hard to do. I feel like I'm losing my mind. I Pray that God deliver us both, as well as others, to overcome this madness. Lots of love and hugs to you always❤. Stay Blessed 💘.

Dude! That is me word for word! I usually don't think that about things that people share. The reassurance I get no matter where I get it or who I get it from just doesn't seem to last. I am 50 and have been going through worry and anxiety since childhood but it started to get worse in adulthood. I struggle with alcohol which makes anxiety worse the next day. Sometimes I feel like though trusting God is a spiritual matter but it's also a discipline thing too. To trust God even when it FEELS impossible to do. I think it's like temptation. It's easy to resist something you're not that tempted by. It's easy to trust God when we can assess the situation and it looks like things are probably going to work out anyway. It's HARD when deliverance looks impossible. Your feelings won't always support your faith. Try as best you can to trust Him IN SPITE of your fear or evidence to the contrary. He hasn't delivered you...yet.
I know exactly how you feel I too am my own worst enemy but I will continue to trust God for my deliverance and healing. Continue to press past your emotions and trust God he is so good to us everyday focus on postive affirmations and thoughts 🙏
I have been in a place where the o lay thing that could save me was Jesus, and He did. I called on His name and He was always near, He is renewing my mind, and I need Him everyday.

I tell myself that all the time. I get so anxious and worried that I hope to die. And sometimes I just remind myself the things I worry about the most is what I end up having to worry about the least. It always end up being true. He basically said the same thing I tell myself towards the end of this sermon and I couldn't help but cry. I hate not knowing what's to come, but this video was exactly what I was looking for.
I am a wreck over the love of God. I never realized why God whispered to Elijah and why He sometimes whispers to me...He wants me to draw near enough to hear His voice. My God is an awesome God! Thank you for your vulnerability and obedience.

I've come back to 29:08 for years now. Such a good reminder when I'm anxious about something like school, work, or anything else. Our minds run wild and worry about so many things that end up not happening, and when they do happen God is always there to carry us through. Such a good word.

OMG Pastor Craig! I had the same breathing issue, for a week I couldn't catch full breaths and I went to the hospital. My doctor told me to relax, read peaceful books, nothing related to self-help and finance, and to manage my anxiety and stress. Emotions can really affect us physically, how scary but fascinating !!
So this message is perfect, I feel it on a deeper level, thank you thank you thank you !

It's true
I always wanted to hear God! I wanted to hear him loud and clear. I couldn't hear him because I was to loud and he was near and he was whispering and need to stop and listen.
Where is god. Day and night, I cry out to u for help, but thou hearest not. God has never, ever answered any of my prayers. Not even one. I'm to the point now, I would just as soon, go out side, bow down, and pray to a fence post. I have as much faith in the fence post answering my Prayer, as the God Almighty. The fence post has never disappointed me. God has disappointed me every time I put my faith in him. Every time. When I put my faith in god, all I ever get is pain, heartache, and disappointment. Every Time.

It was a good message I was thinking of sharing it, just didn't like when the Pastor said anxiety is complex, could need to change your diet, could be a chemical imbalance etc.. some may need a counselor, I feel like Pastor could have just simply said if you draw closer to God he will draw closer to you, no medicine no counselor the world can give you the healing that you need ,only God can break off the chains of anxiety, fear depression, oppression, etc.. God is our doctor and our healer, there is hope in Jesus and his promises , he is the same today as he was yesterday , he will never leave us or forsake us, don't focus on the storm (anxiety) focus on God he will get you thru it and then you will be able to share what God has done in your life so other people can be amazed and draw closer to God so they can have hope like God has given us that hope when we needed it, we need to be the light in the darkness and continue to share God's word, I understand that everyone is different and may need medication, counseling etc.. for my experience none of that helped me I went thru 12 different medications within 12 months went thru counseling as well, I just wanted to literally die , I had enough , what really helped me was surrendering to God and seeking God, just because we seek God does not mean we will never experience anxiety, fear etc.. but God will get us thru it and our trials will make us stronger in Christ trust in God, I have been experiencing anxiety , fear since elementary school and I am 43 I still struggle sometimes I went from being afraid to go outside, fear of taking a shower, going anywhere , being in a room with a crowd of people, God has helped me so much and I Love him so much thank ful for being able to take a shower , for being able to leave the house , currently I am in a different state and traveled 18 hours to get here and I know I was not able to do this in my own strength it was God who filled me with strength, peace, comfort to be able to make this long car ride , if he helped me I know he can do the same for you, have faith and trust God, I don't even know how I lived my life without God before and I can't image my life without him now , I am nothing without him,
I think a lot of times that we forget God also created the people who create medication. He also created counselors and other sources of help with anxiety and depression. Drawing closer to God is definitely important and in times like pastor Craig mentions it is extremely important. However, I dont feel like we should limit God's help to us by only drawing closer to God no matter how important it is. God can also use counselors and medication to heal as well. Personally, I have seen the dramatic change someone has gone through by using a certain form of medication. Yes, they did draw closer to God in this time so one could argue that the relationship with God is what actually made this change. However, when this particular person doesn't take their medication for 2-3 days straight it is easily noticeable. Therefore, reinforcing the idea that God also used medication to help this person. I am definitely not discrediting a relationship with God at all because it is obviously most important. I am simply saying that the Lord can easily use counseling and mediation as well!

I don't know why we think ourselves as helpless..sometimes God tells us to go to counsellor because everyone can have a different way of dealing with anxiety.
