An idea for your studio would be to have a room where you have the same obstacles in it for every robot you test and the same amount of debris just to make it a better test. Some ideas for obstacles that we have lying around our house right now are shoes (unlaced), blankets, footballs, basketballs, multiple wires all intertwined or just plugged in to an outlet, random bins, paper, and bags. You should also do a test where there is a rug that is bunched up in a spot and not laying on the ground completely. And even a test where there is la round rug underneath a big couch chair (like a lazy-boy) and see how it will clean around it. Also you should have more types of debris like leafs, small pieces of paper, hamster bedding, sand, dirt, longer hair, plastic wrappers, random specks of food or random debris brought in from everyday life, and Little Rock pebbles. You should also embedded dirt and sand and other debris into carpet to test how good it is at deep cleaning. Those are just some suggestions on how to make your video testing even better but keep up the honest reviews unlike vacuum wars 😒
Bro your on fire, really appreciate the reviews,, I wish the curv had the new navigation but im sure in a few months or half a year all models will prob have this navigation for the slim profile
Avoiding that poop was a killer feature. I was just about to buy the Qrevo Pro for $600, but I think I'll pay more and get this one. I usually scan the house before starting the vacuum, but with a little kid and a dog, I would really appreciate that obstacle avoidance.
@@Leo.SKDXL05 I don’t have another robot vacuum to compare it to. But if I was to compare, my Dyson cordless vacuum is way louder. The only thing that I’m like out that’s loud. Is when it docks and self cleans. Overall though, very very happy with my purchase
was thinking about getting the qervo s, but I'll spend little more 4 the slim, "just a dad " convinced me to buy the dirt devil ev3420 last summer, now I'm going to buy this one also just hope it's not 2 loud 4 my appartment neighbors.
@SuperNova-bq2ge allow me to provide you with my experience with the Slim. First, it vacuums like a mid tier cordless upright vacuum. Second, it mops decently, not mind-blowing, but it gets the job done, especially if you mop daily. Now for maintenance, the robot filter cakes up with fine particles daily, the rollers do a decent job moving long hairs to the edges, which I usually maintenance every other day since my wife & daughter have fine long hair. Lastly, the clean water bin needs filling every other day, and I choose to dispose of the dirty water daily. All that to say is that it's not as hands-off as they market it to be. Would I recommend it? 💯%.
I was wondering if mine was alone in making that extra noise from the wheels or vacuum brushes when on hard floors. Glad it isnt just mine and more likely the normal sound.
and this is why I do live reviews with all the sounds. they can be long but I think it helps you before you buy and if you have a question after you buy it, thanks for reaffirming this!!!
@@TrueDesire존 I'm glad I'm reading some of the comments others are posting about the disturbing noises that the slim make. I would've freaked out and attempted an RMA or something.
@Leo.SKDXL05 It makes slightly less noise now after the latest firmware, but only when moving from room to room before continuing vacuuming. I like the Slim, it can go under my bed and under my curtains 😁👍🏻
What do you think about the dual spinning brushes on the Slim versus the sonic scrubber of the S8 MaxV Ultra? And how about the edge performance of each?
I see this is on sale for $999 for Black Friday! Would you buy this or the S8 MaxV Ultra for $1099. Do you feel the S8 scrubbing action cleans better than the discs on the Slim when mopping? Thank you for your thorough reviews
Could you please do a head to head comparison of the Eufy S1 Pro Omni vs the Roborock Slim. I'm definitely buying one of them during Black Friday deals. Just can't decide which one. Thanks for the great review
eufy s1 best mopping but struggles in corners and next to wall. not the best at vacuuming. Slim is really good but can not do as good mopping as eufy s1
@JustADad so you suggest that to base my decision on if I'm looking more for daily vacuuming or mopping? What about cleaning to mop heads? Does the Slim sanitize as well as the S1?
I got the Slim over the weekend and it's done several cleaning runs in my place now. I'm disappointed in how loud it is compared to the Qrevo MaxV and Narwal Freo Z. I think I could probably get used to it except for this really loud clattering/grinding noise it makes when vacuuming. I've never heard anything like it on a Roborock before. I think I'm hearing it on the video here but I'm not sure. It's so loud I actually checked to make sure the brush rollers were properly installed and that there wasn't anything stuck in there. Is anyone else having this loud rattling/clattering/grinding sound? Is it the dual rollers? This is the first robot I've had with the dual rollers so maybe that's it, but I just find it hard to believe it's normal.

Your hired!!! Wow great ideas thanks so much!!! stuff I had never thought of!!!!
Love your videos, especially the "guy next door" vibe you give off when making your comments and analysis. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the kind words, appreciate it!

Appreciate it!
Thanks for doing these detailed reviews! Very informative and useful to those of us trying to do research on which robot vacuum to buy! :)
Glad it was helpful!

A regular robot vacuum cleaner doesn't fit the height of our sofa.
So I was waiting for this product to be released. Thank you for leaving a review.
No problem!
Mine just came in the mail, just watching your video again for a recap 😂😂
Glad it's helping, you're gonna love it!
Did you find it noisy? I've read some comments by other users that they found it noisier than other similar robot vacs.

Thanks and greetings from Germany, nice Video.
I ordered the X40, the slim and curv. I will keep the slim.
Awesome! Thank you!
Interesting. Any specific reason for your decision?
@@Leo.SKDXL05the X40 has many issues occurring later, the curve has worse obstacle avoidance.
Super helpful. Bought the slim today!
Did you receive it? If so, how do you like it so far? Mine arrives tomorrow.

Thank you so much 😀
@@JustADadare you planning to review the Narwal S20 pro and compare it against the Bissell Crosswave omniforce edge? Thank you!

Same here
I had major panick 😅 compared to my Z10 Pro it sounded like something was broken 😂

For Black Friday the slim and MaxV are $100 difference. I like the maxv for obstacle avoidance but i like the mopping system on the slim...
Thanks for making this video! I also watched your curve review and the curve “seems” to clean better and smarter? Is that right?
curv is better

I have the same question
@@scottellis8689bought the Slim a month ago and love it. Got it on sale. I'd wait for the next sale than pay full price
Awesome! Thanks for the review, do you plan on reviewing the Eureka J15 Pro Ultra?
yes It comes in a week!!! its already on backorder

slim
Okay thank you One more question they have the pro on sale for $599 is it worth upgrading to the slim for $999
@@cwhannah01 slim has more obstacl avoidand and a camers so if you don't nee that then just get the pro
For the price point Eufy gives way more for the money. That x10pro is hard to beat at its price point.

Oh no, mine is arriving tomorrow and now I'm worried about this
It's voice sounds like my Ecovac
It does Not support 5GHz ONLY 2.4 GHz. That's a big game changer when considering buying.
pretty much every robot is 2.4 GHz only, it has the best coverage after all and won't disturb other devices on 5-6 GHz.
yep sorry about that after reading the fine print
First comment 🎉🎉
Do not buy! They do not stand behind their products and now I'm just out 1000$. Horrible company and customer service
