Fun fact: the points oliver went over in oliver's find was reused in thomas and the Magic Railroad. As you can see percy use the same exact points on his way back to kanpford station.
@ You do realize that the clip IS under fair use right? The law says that I can use any clip of something as long as it’s transformative art. Basically, I wanted to give my opinions on why these episodes are so great.
My favorite Oliver and Toad episodes are Busy going backwards, Oliver's find, and Snow engine! Oliver and Toad are great together! Great video Trevor! ❤
I love all your picks, including the honorable mention of Toad's Adventure. My biggest favorites are Oliver's Find and Busy Going Backwards, the former of which I did a remake of last year.
I have to agree with the number 1 spot on your list. _Busy Going Backwards_ is one of my most favorite episodes from season 5, because I think its one of the funniest episodes from that season. Oh, and BTW, the _Lone Ranger_ theme they play during the scene when the Trucks made Toad a runaway is better known as the William Tell Overture, which was originally composed back in 1829. It was later used as the theme for the _Lone Ranger_ more than 100 years later. Also, I used to be afraid of the episode _Escape_ when I was younger mainly because there was one particular part of that episode that frightened me, that being the close-up shots of Douglas and Oliver's faces as they make their escape from the scrapyard, especially with the lighting. It just made it look a bit frightening for me.
My Favorite Oliver and Toad Episodes are Escape, Oliver Owns Up, Toad Stands By, Oliver's Find and Oilver The Snow Engine. But The Best Best One is Busy Going Backwards because of the excellent runaway scene and the music and as well as Alec Baldwin's Excellent British Accents for Oliver and Toad, I remember first watching that episode on the Cranky Bugs DVD that I got from the library when I was 4 years old. I also love the epiosde Oliver The Snow Engine, I remember first watching that episode on the Holiday Express DVD.
These are all brilliant choices I have to say. My opinions on each of them are as follows: Escape: An obvious classic. I wouldn’t call it my favourite of Season 3 like lots of fans do, but I can’t deny how amazingly cinematic it is by Season 3 standards. 10/10 Oliver Owns Up: This might actually be my favourite Oliver-centred episode. Usually I’m not a huge fan of cocky Oliver stories, but I do think it’s handled well here and his cockiness can be justified here. And his arc is done brilliantly. 10/10 Toad Stands By: Shame it wasn’t made until Season 4 but it’s still a phenomenal conclusion to Oliver’s arc. While I do like Michael Angelis’s narration as always, I do admit I prefer how George Carlin sang Pop Goes Old Ollie because I found it odd how Michael was shouting the whole thing. Still an absolutely great episode overall. 10/10 Oliver’s Find: Gosh, this episode is so underrated! This episode basically did for Oliver what All at Sea did for Duck, and it was a great way to flesh out his character a bit more. And I adore the visuals in this one too, plus even though I didn’t grow up with the US dub, I do love Alec Baldwin’s voices for Oliver and Toad. 9.5/10 Busy Going Backwards: Another great episode. The fact that they went out of their way to give Toad a lead role is brilliant, and of course, there’s the amazing runaway music. And Michael and Alec both do amazing narration. 9/10 Snow Engine: Awful Michael Brandon Oliver voice aside, this is still a fantastic episode. I like the winter visuals, Oliver’s character is done really well, and it’s funny to see him and Toad basically swap their opinions on snow at the end. 8.5/10 Toad’s Bright Idea: Lovely episode. I like the dynamic between Toad and Gator here, and the fact that it takes place during Tale of the Brave is one of the most genius moves from the writers. 9/10 Toad and the Whale: Quite a heartwarming episode right here. Personally I thought Oliver was a bit out of character, but it’s only minor and it’s made up for with the wholesomeness. 8/10 Overall, a phenomenal list of favourite episodes for my second favourite Thomas character and his trusty brake van!
To be honest I love Oliver and Toad as characters I especially thought they make a very nice Duo Also am I the only person wishing that Isabel appeared in the escaped episode I really don't see the problem with the crew taking a season 3 express coach and decorating it to look like Isabel from The Railway Series. In addition I have an idea for the Mark Forster Thomas and Friends movie. If Oliver and toad were to Appear in the upcoming movie then I would get Alec Baldwin to do Oliver and Benedict Cumberbatch to do toad. What do you think of this idea.
My Top 5 Episodes starring Oliver & Toad are 5.) Toad's Adventure 4.) Escape 3.) Snow Engine 2.) Busy Going Backwards 1.) A Tie of Two: Oliver Owns Up & Toad Stands By
