SCM OIKOS XL - 6-axis CNC machining centre for large-sized beams and columns

It is the new “XL” version of OIKOS X, the renowned SCM 6-axis CNC machining centre for the timber building industry.
The “original” OIKOS X was specifically designed to process structural beams, X-lam/CLT modular panels and insulating panels. It is the result of careful research and development to provide the sector with an ever more technological, performing solution.
Fitted with an electro-spindle up to 24 kW, the machining centre allows to process elements with a maximum section of 1,250x300 mm, a maximum length of 19,000 mm and a weight of 4,000 kg.
Today, the new OIKOS XL is presented to the market, dedicated to the manufacturing of Glulam beams and colums with a section up to 1,250x500 mm, thanks to the flexibility of the 6-axis-operating unit that has always characterized this model.
The automatic handling and processing of beams and very heavy elements is possible thanks to a sturdy machine structure.
The unique 6-axis technology allows machining operations on all 6 faces of the element and with all available tools with no rotation or repositioning required.
The finished elements are characterized by perfect surfaces, ready for assembly on costruction site thanks to special anti-slip devices.
The programming software Maestro beam&wall ensures the total integration with the most common CAD-Systems in the sector. The multi-function, multi-touch eye-M control panel makes everyday work much easier and Smartech digital service always offers an SCM expert at the client's side, thanks to augmented reality technology.
