But why marriage with paternal cousins (Children's of Paternal Uncles) was not allowed in House of Manchu ??? For example Marriage b/w Yonghuang son's & Yongcheng's daughter ???
it was considered taboo (still is to some cultures) to marry within the same tribe/clan/dynasty eve though they are distantly related, so an Aisin-Gioro prince can't marry an Aisin-Gioro princess. Back in 15th century Europe Ferdinand of Aragon marriage to Isabella de Castille caused a great stir because they belonged to the same dynasty; House of Trastamara, more than the fact that they are second cousins.
