Magic Johnson above KD is absolutely fucking insane. Magic had no jumper and KD is arguably the most unguardable player in NBA history.
Yeah but the playmaking easily puts him ahead of Kd, Kd can shoot and finish but other than that not much is going on
@@Robo_Boiik KD is actually a great playmaker. Nowhere near magic but 6apg and really good at abusing the gravity he has
Magics ability to generate offense is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. He made the right passes with the right timing better than anyone else ever. He averages over 11 assists per game for his career. He was also incredibly efficient shooting above 50% from the floor in every single season he played. He was even an amazing FT shooter in his later years leading the league at 91% one year.

the fact that he has harden on this list over wilt is wild for me. Kd at 8 is shenanigans tho. he’s needs to be higher fs
@Source_1x
To be fair, Wilt played against plumbers, Taxi drivers, and Janitors. And the only proof of that 100 point game we have is him holding a piece of paper that said 100 and him saying that he said so, which could possibly be a lie, even though I personally doubt it is a lie. But Harden was playing against Prime Lebron, Golden state with KD, A young Giannis, A young Jokic, and a young Luka. So I’d say he played in a tougher era, which is why he’s higher on this list. That’s just my guess though.
This is an atrocious list

Nah you dunno basketball
This man genuinely has the worst takes.
Explain yourself Casual
Kareem at 10 is absolutely outrageous. Bro had the most efficient, unstoppable shot in nba history. Came in 2nd all time in points.
Offense isnt just about scoring
@@Pluhpluh0 I see what you mean, but I kind of disagree. Everything you do on offense is to score points. It’s All just steps to get to your goal, a nice mid-range bucket, and-1 or three. If you don’t score points on offense and you’re a starter you probably go to the bench after that, idk, but maybe. But if you can’t score on offense then you lose. Your main goal on offense is to score points. There are different ways to score points, but it doesn’t really matter bc if u score at the end then it worked. Kareem just has to get the ball around the paint or mid-range, jump, and flick his wrist towards the basket for 2 points, and it proved effective.
@@SkolV1k1ngs yet theres people in the league who can score just like kareem and can pass/playmake better than him, for example bron, or even durant
@@SkolV1k1ngs i could see what you mean by kareem being a great and effective scorer, but you could be the greatest scorer oat but not the greatest offensive player. It doesnt matter how effective you can score. To be the greatest offensive player, you must be able to be a great playmaker, score, have good off ball movement, use screens and etc. Only people that can be considered both is bron and jordan.
@@Pluhpluh0 I see your point
Shaq, Hakeem, dirk, Kobe, and Kyrie have left the chat
Yeah, when he brought up Durants mid range, I immediately thought of Dirk's one-legged fadeaway

Shaq was in the honorable mentions
I know
Kobe was the perfect offensive package, he had very little weakness to his game. We can joke about him "not passing", but later in his career when he starting winning again (07-11) he became a triple threat option. He was utilising his teammates a lot more, which opened his game a lot more.
Dame should be here too. And honestly, even Giannis - even though he may not have the "bag", he scores at a high rate just as much as the guys on this list on quality efficiency. He also provides playmaking ability and impacts the offensive end so much that it forces teams to collapse on him or get in foul trouble.
Kobe was inefficient and had bad shot selection
@@sport_wrld6684 well, today is focused a lot more on analytics - so yes he’s not LeBron in terms of efficiency, but most shooting guards in the 2000’s weren’t either because the defence in the middle was a lot more packed, today’s spacing allows players to get a bucket a bit easier. So the bar of efficiency today shouldn’t be held against players in a pre-analytical era, especially when they’ve accomplished team success and individual success.
And being terrible at efficiency doesn’t get you 5 rings. I love how we like to bring up the advanced stat sheet when talking about Kobe. He wasn’t about that, he was about winning and that got him 5 rings.
And terrible shot or not, he still shot 45-46% in his career (minus his last injury years) and that’s still good for someone who has shot as much as he has.
@@makwabear4078 kobe also only averaged 20 ppg in the finals while shaq won all 3 finals mvps only won 1 mvp and 2 finals mvps and was pretty unefficient compared to other superstars plus he retired at 36 unlike most stars who retire around like 38-40 who have terrible fg percentage he also missed the most shots in nba history
@@QuandaleTaquaviousthe31st so what about the players on this list who’s game didn’t translate to wins at all? Nash? KD only has rings because of GSW. Harden? CP3? Really?? At least Kobe has team and individual success. And he only averaged under 20 once and it was the first Finals when he was a pup. He carried some of those games when Shaq was on foul trouble or out.
Any way you slice it, some of these people on this list above Kobe is questionable because a lot of them haven’t really won anything or have anything to show for their "offensive game".

If his FT% were 10 points higher we'd surely include him in this exclusive group
No Kobe. No Karl Malone. No Wilt. Jordan at 4. This is the worst list I’ve ever seen
He literally said offensive players do whatever for their team to score. Kobe was a ball hog so not him, Malone was not as much as an offensive player as any of these guys, and just because I guy can score 100 doesn’t make him one of the best offensive players of all time
And where should MJ be? Bird was way more efficient on offense, Lebron has every ability MJ has but better, and curry doesn’t need an explanation
That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Just because you can score a 100 points doesn’t make you offensive. The point of offense is to score. Karl Malone is third on the all time scoring list. That makes him very offensive. Kobe is 4th. He’s got great young players on this list that don’t deserve to be on this list YET. They very well could over take them one day. But part of being great is Longevity. Also Jordan should be number one on any offensive player list or list period.

Mr No weaknesses? The back injury be like: did you forget who I am?
How is that a weakness, that's an injury, many of the top guys suffered from injuries, Steph missed most of his first few seasons with ankle problems, KD missed an entire season in Brooklyn, it happens.
