This is the most beautifully crafted chart I have ever seen. I don't know who made the chart, but it's very obvious they did an incredible amount of research. I've been playing this game for almost 20 years. This is hands down the best damn chart I have ever come across. Well done!
Nice mine placement. Especially that final DDR 20 part. The chart in question is pretty good allusion to those songs. That ending at 600 is definitively insane.
4:17-4:42 I can't tell you how many times I replayed this section, not only because I love the sound of the vocal clip: "Break you legs and dance now!" (Is that correct?) and how well the stepchart fits with it as well.
It's interesting, the steps themselves seem not much harder than 16-17 level (except for maybe that ending), but the fact that you have to keep that up for six minutes makes that a lot harder.
It would be incredible to see this being the very last song they put on DDR A making it the first 20 footer haha. It would be the ultimate ending to DDR A. Unfortunately tho it would most likely not happen...lol
The real fitting ending for DDR Ace would be the DDR 20th Anniversary Nonstop Megamix (Probably Live Mix to make things better) that was made after the last KAC on the Benami Air Special. MAX forever would fit as a secret boss for the nostalgia imo. But there haven't been any long songs (2 or 3 stages length) since DDR X with the Xmixes.
Mr BlackJacker32.0 true true seeing Max Forever as like the encore extra stage would be cool to see. It would be a nice suprise too! And I agree that it would fit, considering they sorta did something similar like that when Max.(Period) finally made it to DDR 2014. And even if there hasn't been full songs/long versions since 5th mix, DDR solo and DDR X overall it would still be great to see. ^~^
At first I was like "What is this nonsense?" And then I started noticing all the easter egg charts I've played over 15 years. Well done. Well done, indeed. Critique: Maybe the arrows are a tad early? That assist tick seems to happen right before the beat.
Assist tick is always just barely off and not reliable to use when you're charting. It's useful when playing, especially for the purpose of yuusen's videos, but it's always been a little bit off sync
Should be a 19 or even 20 with the lack of breaks, and especially how it's almost a 6 min song. Would be funny but cool if it was added to the game. Also, wtf is that: 1:18
It's just that theres a lot of difficulty shifts in this chart that range from a 12-18 (for instance, the very long streams at the beginning and end make it feel like a 17/18, and the paranoia part in the middle makes it feel like a 12). Also on top of that, the song being almost 6 min long with hardly any breaks can tire out a lot of people. BPM gimmicks can get to some people since the song is long and some can forget. Some patterns may be simple and others may be more technical and awkward like 1:18 will get people. I feel like all the note placements can average at like around uhhh... 17ish (disregarding the duration)? I still feel like it's a 19 or 20 due to its long duration and how it can tire out many people. I feel like trying this on feet would be fun but ik for sure that I wont make it due to how long it is. I feel like it'd be a 16 or 17 if the song was like 1:40 long like the average DDR song
also yeah the amount of difficulty changes like the 17 to a 12 to 15 is my idea of a break to make it not only challenging for stamina players, but also technical players
I actually think it's fine as an 18. Without the jacks, the steps don't really get harder than a 17, and there's a _lot_ of places where it plays like a 15 or even easier.
If DDR A were to be the LAST game ever released for DDR, then THIS would be the definitive Encore Extra Stage song to wrap up this series. I think DDR A was the 16th mix for DDR in the arcades. DDR EXTREME was the 8th mix, and MAX. (period) was meant to signify the end of the series, but of course the series didn't yet. It came such a long way with a strange journey of ups and downs, and everytime we thought DDR was dead, somehow Konami brought it back. But even I think it has overstayed it's welcome. The current music selection, while good, will never top the classic Bemani and Dancemania songs. Even if DDR stayed for 2020, I don't think we can really see anything new with this series... Unless they somehow utilize StepMania and their previous competitor, ITG from Roxor to their advantage (Which actually inspired Konami with the whole "Shock-Arrow" and "make these charts human-exceedingly difficult" kind of approach, which was made using the StepMania engine). Come on Konami, you've got to hand it to these people, they kind of helped market your game. If you guys want to finally let go of this game and it's series, at LEAST make this your last official song (WITHOUT changing the stepchart or music, we already made that mistake on deltaMax.) And then I would finally be satisfied with this fantastic journey. P.S. If this actually gets added into the game, I want to make a suggestion about how to get the song and the song's life system (It's going to be pure bull, but it might be a fun challenge. No guarantees on the "fun" part.) How to get the song: -You MUST have passed Ace for ACES on Heavy and Challenge in the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE MODE. (I'm not sure if I should include Double charts.) -You MUST play EVERY SONG IN THE GAME AT LEAST ONCE. -You MUST have passed ALL charts over 16 with an AA+ (Same deal here as above.) -You MUST have played ENDYMION (or maybe even MAX 360) on Heavy or Challenge in the Extra Stage of this session, and you must've been at Extra Stage Level 3. (If you do all of that, you FINALLY get ONE chance to play this song.) Song Life Rules: -You start off with 1 "sudo" battery life, but the amount of lives you lose depends on each judgement. Here's a little chart showing my example: Marvelous, Perfect, O.K.: 0 battery lives lost Great: 1/4 battery life lost (Imagine how surprised you would be to see that your life didn't go all the way down.) Good: 1/2 battery lives lost Miss and N.G.: *Instant Game Over. This is an Encore Extra Stage, we ALWAYS expect a FULL COMBO.* This means that in theory, you CAN pass this song even if you get a Great, and maybe even a Good. You will lose some life, but you still won't be guaranteed to lose. After all of the pain you went through to pass ENDYMION, this is a pretty decent compromise. Also, this is the longest song you'll ever play, so I guess you can add a special long timer for the ENDYMION results screen (The timer could instead be 60 seconds, or maybe even 99. This is also a tiny message that you've qualified for the round!) Oh yeah, what's your reward for passing this? I don't know, that's Konami's *DECISION.*
Yeah, when you think about it, I don't remember them EVER adding a 5 MINUTE song in the game. If they somehow added it, they would have to take the time to make a special BG animation for a long song. I don't think they'll be that devoted over one song.
@@Hopecaster I have gotten a lot of flack about the jacks and while it did serve a purpose, it really isn't doable, even with the conditions, so I will change it
