Thank you so much Pastor Allen. You have confirmed for me what The Lord has revealed to me in scripture concerning the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Glory to God in the Mighty name of Jesus!!!

A person must be "baptized" to be saved, but it has nothing to do with water. The proof is found below. What is the one baptism of our faith according to the Apostle Paul in Eph. 4:1-5? How many times is the word “Spirit” found in the passage, and how many times is the word “water” found? Eating Kosher is not unbiblical, but it is not required under the New Covenant. Circumcision of male children is not unbiblical, but it is not required under the New Covenant. Trimming your beard according to the Law of Moses is not unbiblical, but it is not required under the New Covenant. Water baptisms were a part of the Old Covenant, but they are not required under the New Covenant. The proof is found below. John baptized with water. Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit. Which one is related to salvation, based on Romans 8:9? . Heb. 9:10 (YLT) only in victuals, and drinks, and different baptisms, and fleshly ordinances-till the time of reformation imposed upon them . (Old Covenant ------> New Covenant) . Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (What is the one baptism of our faith here, based on Eph. 1:12-13, and 1 Cor. 12:13?) . Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, . 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. . Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. . Act 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. . Act 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (See Mark 1:8)

If I received Jesus as my Savior how do i know i have received the Holy Spirit? I was taught that all miracles ended after the apostolic period this is why our prayers don’t get answered like healing that’s why we ask for endurance because he doesn’t heal. I ask for God to please help a person in my family with an illness. To help him. I have been sad for a while because of this. I’m heartbroken. But I am grateful to Jesus for you and your gifts to teach. May He keep blessing you with life and many more gifts. Thank you.
I’ve never met Pastor Nolan, but I absolutely love this man of God!!! He has the sweetest, most gentle spirit and is a true reflection of the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I saw this message just moments after it was posted. It just might be the most important message I’ve ever heard. I accepted Jesus decades ago. I love Him, the Father, and THE Holy Spirt. But, Pastor Allen, you taught me things today I’ve never heard before. You taught clearly and precisely. I feel a joy and relief I’ve never felt before. The lesson on Greek is profound! I frequently listen to your teaching. I’ve heard your spiritual gifts lessons. But that difference with the definite article I must have missed. I will listen to that series and this teaching again in the next few days. All around me are cessationists teachers. You have provided the keys to understanding that. Thank you. Thank You, Father, for this man You sent to teach us…to teach me.
Well U are very humble and obviously have a teachable spirit. Tell me though, do you believe that the blood or Jesus had to go to hell paid the full price for you??

You won't believe this, but I have been struggling lately in my Christian walk, and read 1 Corinth 8 plus just yesterday and threw up my hands saying I will never understand this. Then the first bible study program I turn to this morning is this one which explained thus passage perfectly. Praise be to God and thank you Pastor Nolan

Thanks Pastor Allen, I totally agree, up until now when I had any discussion with Cessationist's I would just tell them that when the Perfect has come could only refer to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ at His second coming, because only He is perfect! Praise the Lord!
Thank you, see the brokenness that is taking you from glore to glore, it ben years to hear the work of God flowing from a man in being changed into a son.
Praise the Lord for a teacher that does not compromise HIS! Word to get along or fit in it is so refreshing and encouraging to know there are some that knows the LORD, and that HE truly cares for HIS own

I was raised in a Church of God and i remember when i was little the attendance board saying 87 people, that church now has thousands, so let's not get down on a pentecostal church. It was truly filled with the Holy Spirit with an amazing teacher of God.
i'm a COG survivor.. that church is stuck on spirit gifts that are all faked.. in the flesh. A cult, at best. Thank God I started reading scripture enough to see the errancy.

I so appreciate your deep teachings and listen frequently. I have shared the Genesis series to others. God bless you and yours and your ministry. This one on the Holy Spirit was awesome! It came at just the right time for a class I do locally (with Traditionalists!!).

Excellent teaching Pastor! Thank you and to Him be the glory. 48 years as a born-again Pentecostal believer, seminary student, teacher and pastor I never heard or had such clarity on this distinction between the filling and baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Going on 2 yrs watching and learning the bible with pastor Allen, i have learned so much i amaze myself . Thank you pastor Allen my father in heaven will repay you on my behalf.
Pastor Nolan I'm so happy I found your channel you have answered and cleared up so many things that have tormented me all my life because I didn't understand them you are truly a gift from God especially to those who have lived their lives confused and tormented thank God for you God bless you
I'm so thankful for you Pastor Allen. You have made my knowledge ab the word of God so easy to understand. We need more ppl like you in this world. God bless you!!
Salvation is like getting a brand new car that has everything but a key. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is like receiving the key. The rest of a believer’s life is about learning to drive carefully, learning to drive well, and traveling the wide world with Jesus as your guide. Jesus said, “You shall receive POWER when the Holy Spirit comes upon you”…all sorts of power if you read the text. He didn’t say you shall receive power when you repeat the sinners’ prayer!
I appreciate and believe in what this pastor has to say about the difference between receiving the Spirit at salvation and a second work of grace wherein a believer receives one or more of the gifts. The problem is that in the first century receiving that second work of grace came at the touch of an apostle of Christ, a little detail that this minister either doesn't notice or sweeps under the carpet realizing what it infers. For it is that detail that made a cessationist out of me.
Pastor Alan, don’t trip on these negative comments from people who are clearly set on disrupting the true teachers of God‘s word, Pastor Alan I know you won’t leave me astray and I have faith that you will teach the word verse by verse. Keep up the great work and may God bless you and all you do.
I attend a non denominational Pentecostal church and I've never seen anyone acting crazy in my church. Now and then there will be a message given in tongues and always a translation , I've heard the word of knowledge and we anoint people with oil (the pastor and elders do that) who need healing. I've never seen any crazy behavior in the 13 yrs I've been there. Haven't heard any prophecies but have seen people baptized in the Holy Spirit and they spoke in tongues. Our church has grown so much we are building a bigger sanctuary and it's mostly young couples with children . If there was something weird going on there I would find another church, but we love one another and spend a lot of time together having fellowship dinners, camp out for the men and boys, ladies fellowship Friday nights and we have Friday night prayer once a month, nothing but praying spread out all over the church.
There are quite a few spiritual gifts, I am a teacher for sunday school and truly feel called to do so. Have never spoken in tongues. I do believe it is a gift as well as if incorporate worship must have interperter. Should be for edification of all. I heard you say we may not be given all gifts. Canyou expiund a little. I so want to know Gods Word , wisdom and knowledge. I want to be obedient and struggle at times.

Acts 8:4-25 & 19:1-7 are not talking about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Both chapters 8 & 19 are talking about the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit. Paul, Peter & John were apostles & were giving the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit. Only apostles could give the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit. In the gospels, for example; Matthew 3:11, John the Baptist made reference to Jesus baptizing with the Holy Spirit. Also, Jesus made specific reference to the baptism of the Holy Spirit in Acts 1:4,5,8. He told the apostles to wait for the baptism of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem. Jesus also similarly spoke of the baptism of the Holy Spirit without using that exact phrase in Luke 24:46-49. But if you examine the context it's clear. Mark 9:1 also speaks of the baptism of the Holy Spirit without being specific. Mark 9:1 teaches the kingdom of God would come with power & within the lifetime of some of the apostles. If you remember, Judas died before Acts 2. The first time the baptism of the Holy Spirit occurred is in Acts 2:1-13. Then years later it occurred again in Acts 10:44-48. Notice, both chapters 2 & 10; Peter, who was given the keys to the kingdom of heaven/God; Matthew 16:19 is preaching the gospel. In Acts 2:12 the bystanders were amazed & perplexed by the baptism of the Holy Spirit & asked, 'What does this mean?' Then in Acts 2:14-21 Peter explains the prophecy about the Holy Spirit using the book of Joel. He continues with the gospel message. In verse 37 the people were convicted and asked, 'Brothers what should we do?' Then Peter taught them how to be saved. Read the context carefully all the way through verse 41. This was the first time it occurred, but then years later it occurred again to encourage the Jewish disciples to take the message to the gentiles. (Cornelius & his household were gentiles.) Read carefully all of chapters 10 & 11 to get the context. If you examine 10:44-48 & then Acts 11:14-17 it shows the context was how to be saved. Then Acts 11:15 Peter states, this happened to us in the beginning. (Acts 2:1-13) Verse 16,17 specifically says, "Then I remembered what the Lord had said, (Acts 1:5) 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' So if God gave them the same gift as he gave us . . ." The miraculous baptism of the Holy Spirit only occurred two times. Acts 2 & Acts 10.
At about 20-25 minutes into the sermon, I have inquiry. The argument pastor Nolan makes by appealing to the lack of the definite article in (Acts 8:15-17, and Acts 19:1-7) is an argument of inference. It seems to be a presupposition pastor Nolan has when he comes to these passages. His suggestion is - because these passages lack the article it must be referring to the “gifts of the Spirit” (or as he asserts - the “attributes”). Regarding pastor Nolan’s assertion concerning the absence of the article, I would note that the article (looking at the Greek text) appears to also be absent in (Romans 8:9)- a text pastor Nolan appealed to in his sermon as proof of receiving the Holy Spirit at the moment of Salvation. Pastor Nolan’s assertion suggests that the absence of the article indicates the “attributes of the Spirit” and not necessarily the identity of the Spirit. Would pastor Nolan assume that (Romans 8:9) is referring to the “attributes” or gifts of the Spirit rather than the person or identity of the Holy Spirit?

Bible study is word by word, sentence by sentence, foundational knowledge. Preachers should inspire. Two different approaches that both have their place. But Bible study, word for word, sentence for sentence is important but seldom inspirational. Preachers, they reach deep into their hearts to cause visceral response in the listeners -- that cause people to sense and feel the joy of the Lord. This is an important distinction. Both kinds of preachers are needed. But one is really a Bible teacher; the other is a preacher. Just thinking out loud. Nothing personal to anyone. We all, in the end, work for the kingdom of heaven -- for Christ and his Father.
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Oh my goodness. That was just so good. What a special teaching. Thank you Father God for that teaching and the man you spoke it through. In Jesus glorious name.
Thank you for your obedience to the Lord, this has been something on my heart for some time. Does denying the gifts of the Spirit, imply that you are grieving the Holy Spirit?

In general, I just don't understand why the fruits of the Holy Spirit are rarely mentioned. Seems to me that gift seekers need something more/experiences for their own confirmation of salvation. I believe Paul teaches fruits are the real deal in 1 Corinthians 13. Have a blessed day!
I always enjoy your messages and your insight Pastor Allen. Seems like you contradicted yourself though when you said 99% of the Bible is understandable in English, but there’s that one percent that doesn’t really make sense unless you understand the original Greek and Hebrew. Shortly after that, you mentioned that most of the English translations from Greek are incorrect. I’m kind of confused at one percent or is it most. I have to say you are truly a blessing to me personally thank you for the time you take put your messages online one day they’ll be a great reward for your diligence thank you. GB.
The Spirit of Jesus is received by his word. It is a science gleaned from righteousness...it is the clever way we harness our own nervous strength so that it guides us through life and out of the hands of those who wilfully want to control us. Our own living cells replicate by the influences impacted upon them. Sometimes wildly, sometimes restfully, sometimes caringly. If we are following Jesus, meekly, we will inherit the Earth, and that is far better option than eviction.
I do not think I have ever "received" gifts (of the Spirit). I do believe in Jesus. I do believe I've been born again. So pray in my behalf to receive the gift or gifts. Use my initials. CRM. If nothing happens, I'll return and say so. If I am gifted, I will return and say so.

As A Pentecostal myself I obviously agree totally with the pastors conclusions regarding the 'Gifts of the Holy Spirit'. However, if the best argument for the continuation of the gifts is down to a 'mistranslation' of the original texts, and that Peter & Paul were actually asking the believers in the discussed passages if they had 'received the gifts of the spirit', (With which I agree), This no way negates the cessationist point of view that the Transference of the gifts' ceased with the end of the apostolic age.
Paul was speaking about the indwelling Holy Spirit that all people born again receive. If you haven't received the indwelling; then you're not a child of Gob. Romans 8:9, & 15,16
I never even heard of the word cessation. I was following a pentecostal pastor. I told him I had been getting baptized in the Holy Spirit but not speaking in tongues. He says I wasn't baptized in the Holy Spirit at all unless I speak in tongues. I googled the history of pentecostalism and that lead to rightly dividing the word of truth. I see past present and future. I see what's for the body of Christ and what's for the Jews in Israel. Some books in the new testament are describing what happened in the old testament under the law. The gifts have cease because they were for the Apostles and the Jews rejected Jesus. In the seven years of Jacob's trouble the gifts return to the Jews in Israel. Signs and wonders were for the Jews because the Jews needed a sign. Acts of the Apostles is a transitional book going from law to grace and never mix law with grace or you will have neither.
Pastor 😂, that was an expectacular question and joke at the same time) how was that young Pastor called to preach or anyone else if they don't believe in miracles or spiritual, supernatural work!?...thanks for everything you are doing..

@@carlostirado351 To be honest most of the Church Presbyters are doing Ministry without the Holy Spirit Baptism and they are deaf to the Holy Scriptures.😭
Gosh I love Pastor Allen as much as anyone but I just wish he didn’t cry about EVERY LITTLE THING ALL THE TIME! I understand being sensitive to the Spirit and loving people but gosh. I worry he has some signs of depression that needs attention. I mean crying over getting an apology from another man. To the point, I do believe SOME apostolic gifts have ceased but NOT ALL!
@@christopherward5256 I think that crying shows that He has a lot of compassion for people. I'm a man and sometimes I hate that I cry over things But I can tell why he does because he cares.
Also, it not only helps to know the original language a little, but also Hebrew idioms. Example of an idiom here, we might say, It's raining cats and dogs. We know it's not literally raining cats and dogs, but it's a saying.
The Father = The Soul of God. Jesus = The Body of God. The Holy Spirit = The Spirit of God. Is there no rightly divide the word of truth? We're not Jews under the law.
Something I ran across a while back. Apostle Paul writes this statement when he is outlining the proper way of the use of tongues in the church. 1 Corinthians 14:21 KJVS In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. This refers to a prophecy in Isaiah. Isaiah 28:9-13 KJVS Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. [10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: [11] For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. [12] To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. [13] But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. A lot of Pentecostal churches go back to the law of Moses. And don’t allow the Holy Spirit to perfect them. Romans 10:1-3 KJVS Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. [2] For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. [3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
Seek the deep things of God. Being led of the Spirit & filled with the Spirit is a deeper experience. Without the baptism of The Holy Spirit you don't have the power to do anything. Jesus said without me you can do nothing. The Spirit filled believers bear fruit of the Spirit and desires to live a wholly life. Wholly vrs Holy is a good study.
I know that in Pentecostal and charismatic circles is referred to as a baptism in the Holy Spirit. However over the last 15 to 20 years the ones I've been associated with they suppressed the gifts of the Spirit and they're almost ashamed of them. I've had leaders pull me aside and tell me to quit praying in tongues because I was scared people away even though I was praying so quietly I could barely hear myself praying. I agree with everything you're saying here Pastor I just wish we would all practice it completely

@@RobTheTruth actually I know a few instances where someone pray quietly in the main service in tongues and unknowns to them the person next to them understood the language. There was a Russian guy sitting next to a Christian, the Christian spoke in tongues and the Russian guy came up and gave his life to Christ because the Holy Spirit was preaching the gospel to him via speaking in tongues. In fact, in the book of Acts, there was no interpreter when they were baptized in the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. That's because everyone that was there understood their own language, I understood the Christians were glorifying God in an unknown tongue. That did happen and still does happen.
Once you are in Christ you are in God in totality because the fullness of the Godhead (the father, the son and the Holyghost) dwell in Christ. In Him (christ) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. In other words Jesus is the body of the Godhead. Colossians 2:9. The bible is complete. Very simple
Is it not that the gifts are given according to grace according to Romans 12:6-8......And is it that once the Holy Spirit indwells a believer that person has the whole package....just not activated sometimes because of lack of faith or laziness......
A person receives the indwelling Holy Spirit at baptism. The NT clearly teaches a person with faith & repents is a candidate for baptism. (immersion) This is when a person is saved. This is when a person is born of the water & the Spirit to enter the kingdom of God. Ac 2:38 says 'Repent & be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins & you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This is when a person receives the indwelling Holy Spirit.
Please be intellectually & spiritually honest with 1 Cor 13. Please be sound in doctrine. The perfection that Paul is speaking of is the canonization of the New Testament. Now the message is complete & the miraculous gifts have ceased. 2 Time 2:15 'Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.' 1 Tim 4:16 'Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
Cornelius was told to fetch for Peter, who would tell him WORDS, whereby he and his household would be saved! As Peter began to speak the Holy Spirit fell on Cornelius and his household! Then, Peter commanded them to be baptized, exactly as in Acts 2: 38, commanded to the Jews! Paul was told, ...why are you waiting, arise, be baptized (water) wash away thy sins!
Well thought i was christain but son committed subside and I don't know if went to heaven Jesus didn't raise him up from grave like it says christian could do. I am very confused.
He said in HIS church they do not operate any of the gifts to the whole church, but only to one or a few. The gift of tongues was said to be cloven. In this case, it was meant to say divided, or two part. One part is only for the speaker of tongues in which the speaker does not know what he is saying, but knows that it is a perfect prayer spoken by the Holy Spirit. The other use of tongues is meant for the congregation, and an interpreter is there to tell the congregation what was said. Never is tongues spoken to the congregation without an interpreter being present. To deny this gift as the pastor is doing is a grave error. Allen puts such a scare on his congregation for the likelihood of misusing the gifts that I would guess a message in tongues is never used in his church. Allen is a brilliant man, he knows it and likes to show his flock how smart he is. If the money is beginning to come in to his ministry, Allen will fall into the pit of the prosperity preachers.
1 Peter 1:10-11 KJVS Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: [11] Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Definite article in verse 11 preceding the word Spirit.
My challenge would be. Show me a healer at a hospital. Show me a prophet who saw 9/11, covid, etc.... i dont see the gifts of tge apostales today. Where h ave they been used in 2000years
@Maria-ql3fc ive been in church for 30+ years. Incuding my inlaws charismatic church. My in-laws are God-fearing christians who claim the gifts in their church(wifes dad was the pastor till he passed. Now my wifes mom is). I have seen God heal people. For instance, the church i go to now. The pastors son had cancer. God spared him. The cancer is gone. But the congregation was praying and pleading for God to heal him, and i believe he answered the prayers. But the churchs where people go around laying hands on people claiming they are healed. The same people are up front the next week and the week after. They demand and decree and say things like Satan, you are bound etc.... but nothing changes. For example, my wifes dad was told he was healed of cancer by multiple faith healers. Passed away from the cancer. They claimed to hear God and God told them he was not going to die. That he was to minister to many nations. These people are liars and took the name of God in vein. I just dont believe there are people going around who can even claim 10% of the people they pray for are healed.
I'm really confused. I watch a lot of Pastor Alan. In some messages he stares the bible is the word of God. We are to believe it. Trust it. Live it. In other messages we aren't to believe it because it has "bad translations" or in this message, he says the translator purposely translates it bad because they want you to believe the way they do. Do we believe the Bible or don't we? And how do we know what and what not to believe?
While I am NOT a full cessationist, I believe that it is NOT NECESSARY to receive the Spiritual Gift of foreign languages, or even the private prayer language (unfortunately commonly called tongues because of the archaic 17th century English translation.) However, I am sure that some people still receive the gift of languages, and others still receive the Spiritual Gift of interpretation of those languages. But I also know that these gifts are supposed to be used according to the outline given to us through the Holy Spirit to Paul the Apostle. Others actually receive the Word of Knowledge, while others receive Helps, and Healing, and the gift of Pastor/Teacher. All of the gifts listed in Acts chapter two are still active in the Church, but I believe that it is much more limited than it was in the first century. The Fruit of the Spirit is given to every believer in, and faith in Yeshua Messiah as their Savior and King. Without the presence of the fruit of the Spirit, it is highly unlikely that that person actually has been saved.
Do you mean tongues? Not everyone is able to pray/speak in tongues. We can ask for that gift, though. But anytime we pray to God, we ARE praying in the spirit. Usually, it feels like goosebumps. I would refer you to 1 Corinthians 12. Hope that answers your question 🙏 God bless
So do only Pentecostal church members get the gift of tongues. I’ve gone to many Baptist, church of Christ, and non denominational churches over many years and no one spoke in tongues. Only at an Assembly of God church did I hear a woman do it and there was no translator.
Pastor Nolan why do you preach out of different BIBLES I've seen videos where you preach out of at least 3 different BIBLES so are they all the word of GOD or do you choose one depending on what you you happen to be preaching about?
John 14:17 and Acts 2:4 both talk about two experiences. Note that the discipline were not born again until the day of pentecost. It was not possible to be born again without resurrection of Jesus. 1 Peter 1:3,23. No place in the bible any of the apostles used the word Baptism in the Holyghost to mean being filled with the Holyghost because they are different experiences. Baptism in the Holyghost takes precedent over being filled with the Holyghost. The semantics problem has been with the church since a long time.
He hit on many important topics concerning this issue. To surmise he is claiming that Everyone who believes, received the Holy Spirit, but not the gifts, until later when they ask for them. I think the Holy Spirit is given in whole, all of Him, and not in partiality. Meaning when you receive the Holy Spirit ie... are baptized with the Holy Spirit, you get EVEYTHING. I believe he is mistaken with the Greek interpretation of Holy Spirit and there not being a "the" as he stated that therefore means the "Attributes" of the Holy Spirit rather than the Holy Spirit himself. If this were true, then why would they just not state "Spiritual Gifts" like in G4152 πνευματικός, 1 Cor 12:1 "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant" if that is what it is meaning? I think he is trying really hard to get away from the meaning of the verses being that, you do need to "ask" for the holy Spirit like it states in Luke 11, who is given ONLY to those who obey - Acts 5:32. If those believers in Acts 8 and 19 believed but had the Holy Spirit, and not Spiritual Gifts they would have said Spiritual Gifts G4152. Seeing the Power of the Holy Spirit is also seeing the Holy Spirit. Some gifts can be seen, some can't. So the 10 virgins who were all there, waiting for the bridegroom, all believing he was coming soon, 5 had oil, 5 did not. Which ones got in? All 10 were there waiting. Why would you wait if you did not believe? I guess it comes down to true faith in what you are reading. I believed I needed to ASK for the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Luke 11), I asked and waited and knocked just like His Word said, and sure enough, one night, I was baptized by the Holy Spirit and felt this amazing supernatural power come into me, on me, over me, head to toe. I felt the Lord's hands touch me, encompass me. I felt lifted and totally awestruck. I experienced this, and yet I have no idea what my Spiritual Gifts are. I have an idea that I may have a gift of giving. I think I have a greater faith than some, but is it a super natural level of faith? One thing I know, I was filled with the Holy Spirit after asking, seeking, knocking and waiting, and I kept on....until I received! And that is exactly what is taught. You have to KNOW that you KNOW you were SEALED with this POWER. If not, be obedient, pray and believe you will receive it, and do not stop ASKING until you receive HIM!
@RobTheTruth not true. Baptism of The Holy Ghost is not the same as receiving the Holy Ghost at the point of Salvation. We receive a The Holy Ghost as part of our new creation. But Baptism is the indwelling of The Holy Ghost. Baptism is literally power from on High. When someone is Baptized with The Holy Ghost they speak in tongues as evidence. Acts 2 You don't need Baptism to be saved. Its an added benefit to those that seek it most especially for ministry. But you can't be saved without being born again. Its not as complicated as it seems. But they are two separate things.
Acts 2:38,42 KJVS Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. [42] And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. This verse shows the lag between being baptized, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. The following verses show the two types of Christians just prior to the mark of the beast unfolding. Keep in mind Satan cast down to earth is the third woe, which is associated with the seventh trumpet,Re 8:13. Which also places the rapture at the seventh Trumpet. Revelation 12:5,17 KJVS And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. [17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. The Christians in verse 17 have to refuse the mark of the beast, Re 20:4.
When we become born again we are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. But that is not the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the holy spirit is a separate act of Grace that empowers you to be a witness for Christ and to rightly divide the word of Truth. "Have you received the baptism in the Holy Ghost since you believed?" First you believe and are born again. After that you can receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost. Jesus totally immerses you in the Holy Ghost it flows over you and through you. The evidence of being baptized in the Holy Ghost is speaking with the tongue of men and angels. That's not to be confused with the gift of tongues which is one of the nine gifts of the holy spirit that you can receive after receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost. But this though it may sound exactly the same is not the gift of tongues it's the manifestation of the baptism of the Holy Ghost that every believer can have.
Jesus spoke of Baptism as a "second birth" (regeneration) saying truly, truly, unless one is born of WATER AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. And Paul tells us that this new birth through Baptism is SALVIFIC, stating that God saves us, not because of deeds done by us in righteousness, but in virtue of his own mercy by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the HOLY SPIRIT. This washing of regeneration (re-birth) was instituted by Christ as an instrument of SALVATION.

Thank you.
You have clarified so much for me that I was not sure of , Thank you .❤
I’ve never met Pastor Nolan, but I absolutely love this man of God!!!

He was speaking incorrectly about Acts 8.
That's God ! Always on time . I love my lord and savior Jesus christ
God knows our needs. He's such a loving Father. Praise God.
@@GaryDisciplecan you tell us what was inaccurate or how he inaccurately about Acts 8?

Yes it is! These are not only gifts to bless the body of Christ, but an empowering gift! MUST HAVE THE WORD AS WELL!
YES YES YES!
THE TRUE WORSHIPERS MUST WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT (AND IN TRUTH)!

From one Pastor to another.... Thank you
I so appreciate your deep teachings and listen frequently.

He is spot on.
It is a tragedy this isn't a focus in ALL churches.
AMEN AMEN AMEN
That makes so much sense.
Pastor Nolan I'm so happy I found your channel you have answered and cleared up so many things that have tormented me all my life because I didn't understand them you are truly a gift from God especially to those who have lived their lives confused and tormented thank God for you God bless you
Yes!
Great WIRD, Pastor. “Stumbled” onto your video on UA-cam, but message so good, I’ve subscribed and will try to catch the Paul journey.
I'll be watching this one a couple of times to understand. Thank you Pastor Nolan.
The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Theres no need for miracles or new revelation. The book is complete.
Guess when you’re loved one is sick in other hospital no point in praying for healing then
Wonderful teaching. What a blessing!
I love this pastor! Thank you God for speaking through him!!
There is no one without a spiritual gift once he or she is a born again Christian
It's a shame that some churches have let unruly behavior go on and people are misinformed about special gifts and speaking in tongues 😞
Speaking in tounges is languages not babble
Good sermon Pastor Allen! Wow! I know God’s attributes but didn’t know the Holy Spirit has attributes.
Excellent!!! Thank you so much for this teaching and clear explanation. ♥

In Acts 2:12 the bystanders were amazed & perplexed by the baptism of the Holy Spirit & asked, 'What does this mean?'
Then in Acts 2:14-21 Peter explains the prophecy about the Holy Spirit using the book of Joel.
He continues with the gospel message.
In verse 37 the people were convicted and asked, 'Brothers what should we do?'
Then Peter taught them how to be saved. Read the context carefully all the way through verse 41.
This was the first time it occurred, but then years later it occurred again to encourage the Jewish disciples to take the message to the gentiles. (Cornelius & his household were gentiles.)
Read carefully all of chapters 10 & 11 to get the context. If you examine 10:44-48 & then Acts 11:14-17 it shows the context was how to be saved.
Then Acts 11:15 Peter states, this happened to us in the beginning. (Acts 2:1-13)
Verse 16,17 specifically says, "Then I remembered what the Lord had said, (Acts 1:5) 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' So if God gave them the same gift as he gave us . . ."
The miraculous baptism of the Holy Spirit only occurred two times.

The part I loved: 29:14
Thanks Pastor. This is a lovely message.
I would say yes

GB.
When we pray, should we not close it with an Amen ?

Google the history of pentecostalism.

Gosh I love Pastor Allen as much as anyone but I just wish he didn’t cry about EVERY LITTLE THING ALL THE TIME! I understand being sensitive to the Spirit and loving people but gosh. @@christopherward5256 I think that crying shows that He has a lot of compassion for people. I'm a man and sometimes I hate that I cry over things But I can tell why he does because he cares.
Stop building buildings start building disciples, take the gospel to the lost.
1 Corinthians 14:21 KJVS
In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.
This refers to a prophecy in Isaiah.
Isaiah 28:9-13 KJVS
Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
Romans 10:1-3 KJVS
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

You don't pray without an interpreter. At all.
How many hours you gonna take to explain this topic?
So should ppl be baptized in the father the son the Holy Spirit. Paul talks about in Jesus name that’s it I see that with the scripture you gave 💪🏽
John 3:3-5
Yes.
Very simple
Thats water Baptism. There is another Baptism that is to be sought after. Thats The Holy Ghost Baptism. Very different.
2 Time 2:15
'Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.'
1 Tim 4:16
'Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
Cornelius was told to fetch for Peter, who would tell him WORDS,
whereby he and his household would be saved! As Peter began to speak the Holy Spirit fell on
Cornelius and his household! Then, Peter commanded them to
be baptized, exactly as in Acts 2: 38, commanded to the Jews!
Paul was told, ...why are you waiting, arise, be baptized (water) wash away thy sins!
how does God speak to you ??
Well thought i was christain but son committed subside and I don't know if went to heaven Jesus didn't raise him up from grave like it says christian could do. I am very confused.
So if the holy Spirit resides in you can you still sin?
Jesus has thrown away the evidence with the work on the cross
You can sin but you should try not to. If you do slip up, Repent and strive to change.
Not every holy spirit filled believer speaks in tongues
By their fruit you will know them
He said in HIS church they do not operate any of the gifts to the whole church, but only to one or a few.

"heck" is a euphemism for Hell. "What in the World" used in it's place, would be a better choice.
People mention Paul but never mention the revelation of the mystery.
What if you asked for the to speak I. The spirit and you prayed but it just don’t come out to pray In the spirit . Snd you know your saved
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is how the Holy Spirit is recieved.
Yes. Exactly not a separate event we receive the spirit upon belief
Acts 2
You don't need Baptism to be saved. Its an added benefit to those that seek it most especially for ministry. But you can't be saved without being born again.
Its not as complicated as it seems. But they are two separate things.
Is not this Jeremiah 31 ?
Acts 2:38,42 KJVS
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Revelation 12:5,17 KJVS
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
Excellent lesson. Thank you!
