Great review as always:) Just started with my first Aquaman book, the New 52 Omnibus by Johns. I'm probably half way through and so far it has been amazing on every level (art, story, pacing etc)! Phenomenal.
Gio, magic, mythology and the bridge between two worlds, never thought of that before , but you're right. This is why I love Wonder Woman so much, and why I'll buy this, and all the Abnett Rebirth stuff leading up to this. And I'll go from there. Finished the forth volume of Spirit Circle, the fifth I'll read tomorrow, and the sixth and final volume will arrive next Wednesday. Can't wait to finish, so I can go back and read it through beginning to end with no interruptions. Past lives, all different, yet all connected, tied together with some myth building, what a great recommendation, thanks Gio.

@@mangageekdom I liked your video. I had no problem with KSDs politics. The issue was that she up ended the cast, made AC very unrelatable and had him getting his ass kicked every issue. "this ends now Manta" cliffhangers at every turn and Art lost every time. It was style over substance. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. For me, I'm waiting for the resurrection by Grant Morrison.

Could this be a standalone story or do you have to read vol 2 etc?
It has elements that are standalone but overall the book leaves you wanting volumes 2-4.

Nah man there's a lot more trouble brewing than just one writer on an aquaman book that doesn't sell as well as Batman.
@@mangageekdom I think she was part of the whisper network too. Her and Gail Simone caused a lot of destruction and division.
This was pure garbage. As a reader from the 80s this was a dive (pun intended). Why they would follow Dan Abnett with KSD I will never know.
