Tuning the Duplex scale of a Bechstein concert grand D 282

Playing around consistently along the tension distribution between the actual string and the duplex scale and tuning both at the same time, getting a richer and more colorful sound. Bechstein's expert technician Roland Zinniker at work in Vienna.

Back in the "good old days" (pre 1994) Bechstein concert grands sounded just fine without the duplex scale

If you've never been there for a grand piano tuning...this might seem a little scary in that this is a $270k USD MSRP concert grand. :) Are they killing that masterpiece of a grand? :) Can't use a machine. :) Hand tightened and loosed to tune.
