We stayed at Hotel Da Vinci after watching your video. Our first trip to Paris my husband had a medical emergency and Da Vinci hotel was incredibly helpful. So much in fact, since our first trip we were only in Paris 36 hours and had to get back to USA, when we planned our redo trip this last December, we stayed 8 nights at Hotel Da Vinci. We loved the neighborhood, the food and cafes were amazing, we were out at all hours and felt so safe. And it was so easy to get everywhere we needed to in Paris. So grateful for your videos, they helped us make our redo trip so special. Chef Fernand was a highlight!
After a long flight I highly recommend a walk in the Luxembourg gardens. A lovely relaxing place with lots of fresh air, helpful for dealing with jet lag 🙂
I stayed at the Grand Hotel des Balcons in the 6th when I went in November. 2 star hotel but clean, safe, great location for less than 100 euros a night. The reservation staff were SO knowledgeable and friendly! I walked everywhere except when I left to catch the plane at the end of the trip. The only place I missed was Montmartre, saving that for the next trip.
Kicking off my weekend with a second cup of coffee and sitting down with Colleen and Antoine's video on the St. Germaine district in Paris. Thank you as always for your insights and wisdom when walking around Paris. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately!) with the 2024 Olympics in Paris it would not be an optimal time for me to travel so ...Paris is on the shelf until 2025 ! Not unhappy -- it gives me more to to decide exactly what I want to do -- where to go -- etc. In the meantime I will sit here with you and enjoy the best Parisienne videos on the internet! Cheers from New York City!
I have stayed in Saint-Germain des Prés more so than any other part of Paris and agree it is nice. I laughed when Antoine said it is a good place to get lost. I did that a lot when so many intersections have 5 or 6 streets coming together. It is good to be walkable because I did so much of that before hailing a taxi to get me back to the hotel one time. I had walked all I could walk at that time.
Ah, Hotel d'Angleterre. That brings back lots of memories. I traveled to France on business once or twice a year from the late 1970s through the early 1990s. The Angleterre was always my home base in Paris. Cozy, friendly, well-located -- and cheap. The latter part is no longer true. It has been extensively renovated since the 90s and is vastly more elegant and upscale than the place I knew and loved. And it is now priced accordingly. Still a great hotel in a fantastic area.
All of your vlogs are great but this one sings to my heart. Saint-Germain-des-Prés is my favourite part of Paris, as it is for so many people (understandably). And I've loved the Hotel d'Angleterre since the Nineties - such happy memories. Thanks for your jolly and informative jaunt around an enchanting arrondissement -- you guys are the best!!👍❤️
We just came back from Paris and went to some of your recommended restaurants, like Chez Fernand and you’re absolutely right, their Beef Bourguignon was so worth it. We also went to Briezh Cafe and loved their galettes and went to Les Marmottes for their delicious raclettes. Both were super close to where we stayed near Rue Montorgueil. We also ended up walking through the old passages which I never would have known about if not for your videos. Keep doing amazing content. My husband and I now want to move to Paris since we loved the City. Merci Les Frenchies.
Bonjour Antoine et Colleen! I love France and especially Paris, so my Saturdays always start the best way with your excellent videos. I'm travelling to Paris this summer with my Mom, for two weeks, for my fifth trip to this magnificent city! I know it's going to be crowded, but I want to be there for the especial Olympic celebrations. As I already visited all major attractions (monuments, museums, palaces, ... ) I don't have to waste time in lines, it will be just wandering around exploring Paris, enjoying the views and the food. I'm staying at two hotels: Hôtel Dauphine Saint-Germain, in the 6ème and Hôtel Design Sorbonne, in the 5ème. I love the location, I hope I love the hotels as well! I love to see you guys together, you are an amazing couple! All the love and respect after all those years is beautiful! I always look forward to your next video and I hope one day I get to meet you guys in Paris! Thank you for everything you do!
I stayed in bastille and i had an absolutely amazing time! The food options were amazing, easy access to the metro and not super touristy. Your videos helped a lot with finding places to explore across Paris. Thank you!
Grand Hotel Saint Michel next to Sorbonne University is where I always stay. Lovely views, rooms, service, Turkish sauna and breakfast. It is so cute! And yes, I love the Latin quarter- Notre Dame - Saint German area my favorite old Paris! Cordialement 🥰
Do not miss Bernachon Chocolat down Rue de Sevres from the Bon Marché, Jean-Charles Rochoux Chocolat on Rue d'Assas, and the God of pastry Pierre Hermé, his flagship store near St. Sulpice or one of the cafés. Bon Voyage!
We stayed at Hôtel Académie Saint-Germain. This area was beautiful. Great restaurants, cafes, shopping, not overly crowded and after talking to locals this is the place to stay if you want a true Parisian vibe. It’s also central in Paris. Our uber rides were inexpensive and usually a short drives where we wanted to go. Highly recommend this area.
This is our go-to neighborhood for sure. It feels like going home when we visit. There is a comfort in knowing your way around, having plenty of new roads to get lost on there and such a central location for going anywhere else we want to go in the city. Sometimes you connect with a neighborhood, maybe more than one. It can take many trips to know which is your favorite. Guess I need to start planning our next one!😊
YAY! A video from Les Frenchies!!!! Sooooo short though. 😢 Totally understand - the behind the scenes work is enormous! Thank you for all you do! I’ll be downloading your travel guide this weekend - Getting ready for our June trip! Whoop! This is my neighborhood for sure - thanks again for sussing that out for me.
We are staying in the St. Germain area during our trip to Paris next month. We booked Hotel Abbatial Saint Germain a year ago. It's good to know we picked a good location for our visit. Great video, thank you!
I went to Seulement Sea after watching your video about seafood restaurants in Paris. It was fantastic, and I would never have found it otherwise. Thanks for your great videos.
Saint Germain is everything you say: charming, walkable, quaint, clean and safe; but it is touristy and an ex-pen-sive area. I recommend The Mazet as an all night sports bar/pub in the rue Saint André des Arts (Superbowl coming up!) and Vagenande on Bd Saint Germain near Odéon, an olde worlde brasserie like you guys have covered so many. This is very typical of a "bouillon", not too expensive, great quality food, great service in a lovely décor.
Do not miss Bernachon Chocolat down Rue de Sevres from the Bon Marché, Jean-Charles Rochoux Chocolat on Rue d'Assas, and the God of pastry Pierre Hermé, his flagship store near St. Sulpice or one of the cafés. Bon Voyage!
Saint Germain video gets automatic like. :) My favorite neighborhood, loved to see all familiar places. La Grande Crèmerie had the best beef tartar I ever tried, Crêperie Little Breizh right across the street from it is also fantastic - little family owned restaurant. Thank you for bringing back wonderful memories!
Love your videos. I’ve only recently found y’all. Planning a 2025 trip. Very informative videos. Thank u! Do you recommend hotels over airbnbs? I haven’t seen your opinion on Airbnb in Paris? We are traveling as a family of 4. Thanks again for all y’all do!!❤
Great vlog Colleen and Antoine! Anytime, I look at my photos and photo ops from France, I always think and talk about France 🇫🇷, I always have a smile and my eyes are wondering because of my time in France 🇫🇷 before my birthday and on my birthday (December 28th) last year. Try the Filipino restaurant in Paris and in France 🇫🇷 please and do a vlog on it.
First let me say so in love with your videos feel blessed to have found you both very cute couple with a love of People and Life when I come to Paris would make my day meet you both sending Hugs to Both from little me in Melbourne xoxo
I'm in the middle of planning our Paris trip and I've definitely benefitted from watching your videos, so merci beaucoup! I'm kinda bummed that Vincent won't be available when we're visiting next May. Looks like a fun food tour!
Merci to you both for GREAT information, I was very lucky to stay in the 6th for my arrival into Paris and also my return layover for a couple of days and felt so incredibly safe and welcomed. I will seek your private walking tour to explore more when I can return. Blessings to you both, Millette from California
St Germain is wonderful but be aware that in this area of Paris the night life goes on to 4am and the refuse collection starts at 5am so take something to block the noise if you like sleeping.
Always look forward to all of your videos. They're fun and informative. Very much appreciated. Have been compiling tips for a booked two-week late summer stay.
Bonjour again. We are now looking at renting a studio apt near Paris. It's more accessible to the things that matter to us as retired folks. Merci beaucoup! Dean & Cindy
Staying in St Germain this trip so I can explore more. Having lunch with some ladies at Flore. Luxembourg Gardens and Bon Marche are on the list. Looking so forward to the special Impressionist exhibitions at the Musee d’Orsay
I am heading there next week and your channel is a life saver ❤. A lot of my fav hotels are booked but found something good in 9éme arrondissement. It should be fun!
A wonderful song about Saint-Germain-des-Prés, on UA-cam - IL N'Y A PLUS D'APRÈS by singer-songwriter Guy Béart or Juliette Greco IL 'Y A PLUS D'APRÈS - A SAINT-GERMAIN-DES-PRÉS etc.
Love your video's. You mentioned the tour food guide. Are there other trustwordy guides you would recommend or make a video off ? Of course finding out yourself is best.. but language and de overwhelming possibilities of Paris, a tour/food/whine guide could be handy a first time. Love al the information you two provide and the video's are entertaining and to the point.
Merci bien de votre visite au quartier de St. Germain (c'est le quartier ou j'habite lorsque je suis a Paris). You might want to let your viewers know about the market in Rue de Seine which is open every day except Monday. Sometimes you need to grab a piece of fruit instead of a pastry ☺. There are lots of shops from a pharmacy to a fromagerie to a Super Marche next to the market.

Please give us information on where to go and stay and learn French in France! It is equally difficult to make a choice between all the language schools than choosing a hotel. Thank you for quality content.
We are booked at Hotel De Fleurie the first week of April. They just had a remodel. Fingers crossed! We will be checking out some of your restaurant recommendations for sure. How much do you think the Olympic Games preparations will impact us? Love your videos!

I am going to Paris next month and have a question maybe someone can answer. When you see these Cafes, are you allowed to just sit down and take an available table? Or do you have to check in with someone and be seated?

That is a ringing endorsement. When a hotel deals well with your medical emergency, you know they are good at their job! ❤

I absolutely love St. Germain, as a student many moons ago, this is where I lived.
Saturday morning is perfect to watch and enjoy! 💕bonjour!

My favourite part of Paris.

You videos are always very informative. I love the hidden gems 💎 you show. 😊
You guys are the best. We visited Le Procope with your insights thanks. WOW. Stayed in Latin Quarter to save a bit on hotel.
This is my favourite district of Paris. The hotels, restaurants and shopping at Bon Marche are sublime. But nothing beats just wandering about! ❤
Love Paris!

Very interesting, thank you very much
Stayed at Hotel Christine in the 6th arrondissement beautiful place!
J'adore votre chaîne, merci de présenter aussi bien la France :) Bonne continuation
Merci!
First! I loved Paris. I stayed near the Sienne River next to the Gare de Lyon station. It was a great location!!
Nice!
I love this area. We rented an apartment across from Cafe de Flore. Walking distance to a lot of places.
We have booked an airbnb in Saint Germain for April. This vieo is so so helpful! We'll be watching again and taking notes.

This has been my neighborhood for 6 years and it is really the best part of Paris, so easy to get anywhere. Les Jacobins has great onion soup!
Ooh, the antique keys and nautical shop with the canes. id like to see that :D
B-E-S-T for my family. Cannot wait to return in '25.
Thank you for the video!
This has been brilliant,we came across this part of Paris last time and thought we should return. You have shown me a reason to stay there.thank you
😊❤️👍
I spent the last 2 weeks in that neighborhood. ...it was AMAZING!
Chez Fernand was sooooo good!
I spend 65€ in Richart and enjoyed every bite!
Love your hotel series! We stayed at La Belle Juliette based from one of your videos and absolutely loved it there
Our great find recently is the Hotel Villa d’Estrees in Rue Gît-le-Cœur. After many stays in this area, it’s now our go to place.
Felt in love with you two and love all videos from you both. You two made food look more delicious. Bon voyage and bon appetit

Yes
Plein de bons conseils pour votre visite à Paris ...
Hello- great info thank you- Also didn’t want to point out this, but she seems almost never to change her horizontal striped shirt and the red scarf
Ha ha ha. Maybe she just has alot of them and wears them in purpose.
Noice video
Is this place great in the winter season too? I’m planning to go in December this year
Can you please write diwn the hotels that is affordable on st germaine
Hello, just started watching you great videos! Is Hotel Louvre Montana 12 Rue Saint a good area?
Rue Saint Roch ? It is in the very centre of Paris, right bank. So, yes, good area. But very, very quiet in the evening, because there is a lot of hotels, offices and shops.
I have to ask - I have noticed and have had family live in Paris for summer months - is there a secret Paris? Society behind closed doors that non-Parisian's are hard to get into? I know in general it's difficult for an outsider to break into the society and circle - but is it enough loneliness to live there as an expat? I have only been on 2 holidays to Paris and love it for long-term travel or stays but worry about buying a flat there for a 2nd home.
It's not secret, just formal. It takes a little longer to achieve intimate friendships.
You might have answered this already, but what month did you film in?
I am going to Paris next month and have a question maybe someone can answer. When you see these Cafes, are you allowed to just sit down and take an available table? Or do you have to check in with someone and be seated?
You are amazing guys
