Mavs had a 10 win gap over losses prior to this game. They can afford to rest their main player. I think it is tactical because it would be hard for Mavs now to finish 11th like last year. Tactics are a lot in NBA and 80 games is not only stressful for the body but mind as well. I think Mavs had a lot of injuries this year (haven't seen other teams though, not a lot anyway, so it is hard to calculate), but if I was Jason I would bench Luka too. Nothing to do with being afraid though... that's a bit of a stupid sentence, don't you think?
