@@tomatomtom4921 find me an interview where the host asks them their dream festival while simultaneously railing how they like asking that question despite how much viewers don't like them asking that question
Now THIS was a pleasant surprise! Also not knowing who the interviewer is, makes it impossible to prepare and that means he's gonna be 100% natty. Craig deserves so much more propse for getting him and damn, Mike's such a down to earth guy 😲
"normality" - guys thinks the libs are gonna kick down his door to steal his freedom dunno how normal that is lmao. Guy is as normal as a rich guy can be I guess
I have a Spotify Playlist called ShhhDontTell and it's mainly Nickleback and Creed, so I'm definitely watching that documentary after this. Love you Craig 🖤⚡️🖤
Imma be honest. I’ve been involved with some nickelback hate through the years, but this dude seems pretty cool and I’m going to have to give them another chance and see if my hate was warranted. I’ve always been pretty open minded and not afraid to proclaim my support for bands, whether it’s the popular opinion or not. For instance, I’ve remained a Creed fan ever since I discovered them when Human Clay came out when I was like 12, and my support never wavered when they weren’t considered cool. I’m gonna check out NB again.
@@hobojungle1 will you find out if your hate was warranted through listening to their music? I wonder what kind of music one has to write to deserve hate.
Wow that's a coincidence, I saw Metallica on the justice tour. It was at the NEC in Birmingham and Danzig supported them and they had a rough ride to say the least. Even stranger I had my deviated septum surgery last year.
Brother! Serious question! Is your merch also available in the netherlands?? On the shop i only see UK and Us...but i really need to have some shirts! ... came across 1 one your merch shirts at the rammstein concert... and goddamn they are fresh and fit so damn well! Love the oversized look!+ the graphics are bonkers!!
I’ve listened to most of your pods and love em, Craig. Compared to your other guests Mike seems a bit weird, seems obsessed with guns and talks about experiencing the “Dalai Lama headspace.” He seems like a nice guy and I have respect for nickelback, but i’m surprised that nobody else detects the weird vibes at times
Definitely detected. He kind of steered off the covid subject but it really sounded like he was about to go off about vaccines and masks for a second. He seems like the type of dude who wouldn't listen to Stray for the lyrical content.
this made me listen to knickersback. fuck snake reno. strangly liked it though, esp live. hahahahahah. my metal pals are gonna ridicule me. im ok with it, fuck um.
Trained bjj 5 years few times a week. 45min full blast sparring every session. Barely got hurt. Lifting weights, strengthening core and neck helps a ton.
people acting like they don't understand Nickleback hate is baffling to me...like the music is mid to ok and got a variety of creepy lyrics. this also the most conservative laced pod yet. as far as misinformation...ar 15 and ak47 both CAN be automatic and are not as hard to get as mike here seems to believe especially depending on the state or city soooo misinformation is everywhere.
Dude like, these aren’t political commentators, they’re just chatting about music, life, their experiences. You don’t have to agree on every single thing with your guest about stuff 😂
Just because there are political issues that revolve around what someone is talking about doesn’t mean they give af about the politics associated with that subject. Actually most people don’t think about politics. Also, you’re wrong. You’re assuming that modifying them and buying them legally are the same thing. They’re very hard to get legally. They’re easy to illegally modify. So if you’re going to turn something political please at least know what you’re talking about.
Lol, inguinal hernia repair is not THAT bad. It's a DAY surgery. Your diet doesn't have to change. You're given narcos, ibuprofen, and a stool softener so you don't strain when you poo. Kinda surprising a "hard-working man" he claims to be thought THAT was the worst. Also, >60% of men will have one in their life time. Some are genetic. Some are not. I had one back in 08 and the first day post-op sucks, but after that it's really not that bad. Not saying this to shit on Mike, just saying because a lot of us men will get them and HIS experience is not the norm.
Craig, on the livestream you’d mentioned you’d been cripplingly depressed. Do whatever it is you need to give yourself some peace friend ✌️❤️🩹 99.9/100, I wouldn’t try to speak on the behalf of others, but I know I can speak on all our behalf when I say we all give a shit about your well being (not to sound weird and parasocial or anything like that), but for real man. 🤝❤️🩹 Honestly, life’s been quite dark in my corner as of late, too. And, I’m doing what I can to mitigate my head too. This community is a great place to be, we wouldn’t have it without you, and I’d like to see all of us take care.
I feel like we're getting ALARMINGLY close to that Lars Ulrich episode. I can feel it 🔥
@@CharlieViking95 James would be so much better though
If Craig can pull Nickelback he can get Metallica
Probably right
I can see it happening
But why would he? Aren't there countless interviews with them? Who'd care?

We got Nickelback at the Downbeat Podcast before GTA6
what a world
Mike and Nick Folio are now my two favorite Down Beat pods. Just sounds like two mates having an awesome conversation. ✌️
Man you gotta get a interview with Mario about that Olympics performance, legendary
Mentions meshuggah: "yeeaaahh", thats how I felt too

First live show I've ever been to was Nickelback around 25 years ago. Basically my gateway to heavy music. Great guest, great podcast.
@@malitze it was my first big rock show too, way back in 2003. Blew my 15 year old mind.
Only 30 minutes in and already one of my fav episodes. Love you Craig❤️
Gotta get Fred Durst on
This would be such a fucking banger.
Mate, absolutely glued to this. Mike is fucking awesome and this is great.
That was fucking great!
Mike is such a normal and crazy down to earth guy. It is so nice to see normality. Daniel Adair needs to do a podcast!

If Craig can get Mike Kroeger, he can get Maynard Keenan. Also, Mike and Maynard jiu jitsu grapple would be sick.
This is huge! Proud to be from Alberta right now haha
So much wisdom in this conversation.
Wasn't expecting my day consisting of being convinced to get into jiu-jitsu by the drummer of nickelback 😂
it’s so cool how proud he is of his brother
Absolute banger guest! Can't wait to watch through this now
So good Craig, nice one. This is for sure one of the most enjoyable ones you've ever done.
Such a good episode! So glad to see the top 5 bands making a return!

A+ interview Craig, doing an amazing job!
What a genuinely nice guy!

👋Hey, Craig! Mike seems like a really cool guy. Nickelback has had one amazing career.
Loved the episode, love the podcast.
Loved this!
And Justice for Nickelback pod goes hard mate. You need to bring back V Man or get Eloy in here please 🙏
Eloy ❤ and you can ask him how to pronounce his name correctly!
Love this episode ! I'm a big Nickelback fan and it totally got me thinking about signing up for a combat sport 😂
Finally joined the Patreon after seeing that he's on the show
dropped this with perfect timing 😤🫡
ohhh shit! let's fucking go!
"now that people are starting to like us I think our career might be over" HAHHAAHAHAHA
Nice chat, Craig
Surely gotta get Josh Eppard on the pod soon!
Loving the content though!
Bought 5 of their albums when cds where still a thing, still listen to them sometimes. Yet I never knew he was the brother of noodlehead.
Goddamn legends
