I'm young and got a v6 g8 as my first car i plan on ls3 swapping it and supercharging it about half a year or less after. I want to make 850-900 hp. While I have the 6 in it im just preparing to do the swap and keeping it clean for summer cruises. G8 owners inspire me to not give up on a dream car especially being a triple 8 as well.
That's a very nice G8. I have a G8 that I bought new in 2009. In 2019 I added a high performance cam, a Magnuson 2300 Supercharger, Bosch Injector Dynamics 1050 Fuel injectors, dual fuel pumps set up to run E85. 3 inch long tube headers with 3 inch exhaust and X-pipe, Rotofab cold air intake. It has meth injection and a Mighty Mouse Catch Can. I had it tuned on a Dyno using HP Tuners. It makes 715 horsepower running 8 pounds of boost and E85. I still have the stock transmission and 2.92 rearend. Going to a 3.27 or 3.42 rearend would make the take off a little quicker, but since 1st gear is 4.12 to 1 it will still launch very hard. You have a beautiful machine! Enjoy that G8 and thank you for the video!

@@LS3_LaFlare I’m bringing my Genesis to Carvana next week. If they give me over 11k for it I’m going to grab a 05 Gto :) I want a LS in the Genesis but it seems like a giant headache. Thinking I should just get a LS platform. Not enough tuning options for the Gen with the stock motor
@@benjaminpimpin3654 GTO is a way better platform IMO. The only negative is rear wheel fitment, but 285s on a sticky tire and you’re fine. GTO is one of my most missed cars lol but it had a salvage title and I was dumping too much money into it.
Looking good and sounds mean. That Kong lid is insane looking, need to dump this ZL1 lid I have at somepoint for this. Question, it looks like you have your vented catch can hooked up to the vacuum side of the supercharger, arent you getting a huge vacuum leak doing that? I have mine hooked up the same way, but to a sealed catch can and when I pull the dipstick out of the can it makes a huge vacuuk leak. Im just asking, i dont know much about setting up pcv systems.
It’s a Mighty Mouse Wild catch can, it has a check valve (rubber flap) where the filter is. Under boost, if there is too much positive crankcase pressure (engine not in vacuum, it’s pushing air out if positive pressure) the flap will open and vent. The reason you want a system like this is because if you have too much positive crankcase pressure it can push out your oil dipstick, or cause a leak at the rear main seal. Hood this helps, it was a very good question! No vacuum leaks, the can is sealed (until it needs to open)!
You can leave your sealed can on, but I recommend looking into “CFM Valve cover breather”. It replaces your oil cap and has a check ball / filter setup. The positive crankcase pressure will push the ball open to vent if pressure is too high. If you look at the Genesis (and some of other my builds) you’ll see what I’m talking about! I just couldn’t pass on this Mighty Mouse catch can for the price, and it just does both in one.

Just moved to south carolina from nj. I had 2 plates on my car but im removing the front since you only need 1. Anyways does anyone have info on what to use to plug the holes in the front?
You could take off the bumper and from the backside cover the holes with fiberglass and resin, then on the front use glazing putty or bondo over the holes, then sand and paint!
Not much at all my usual stock pulley builds land in the 555whp zone, but with manual trans. This is an auto so I will be surprised if it’s more than 530whp. A lot to change out on the car like suspension pieces and bushings so I will build the platform then turn up the boost in the future! No doubt!
I have a white 16. I like the hood mods bc it costs like 600 dollars once the stupid wire breaks from the manual hood release. The blower worrys tf outta me. seems like you shoulda got a TVS2300 This also confirms my suspicions about NOT leaving certain things stock while adding a blower even though they claim it wrks. im also someone rebounding from a completely blown engine, at no fault of my own due to the previous owner running 7.600 pushrods in a fully built motor. Much love. i see you aint got no roof either. ima prolly die with this car so ill have one added on later lol. def not selling after all the shit ive been thru. also upgrade the rockers. otherwise you will join me on team "it blew up" lol
I’ve built like 12 engines and didn’t blow any up. Look through my channel and IG. Reunion upgrades are snake oil unless you have a large cam with .650+ lift.
I did not, but there is a Gen3 Kong LSA lid (I’m on the fence about buying it right now actually JUST for how loud the whine is)… maybe it was addressed in the new lid..? But I was only making 7lbs so I wonder if there was an issue with those pushing more. My honest opinion is that it is NOT an issue.. but what do I know. Lol sorry I can’t help answer your question.

What parts are needed to do the LSA blower on a L76? I got the blowers lid and ID1000s but every list I've seen has different parts
It’s kind of a buy the parts that you need to best suite your build. I’m putting one on my ls3 Camaro as well

Yessir, straight bolt on! You cannot use LSA (CTS-V/ZL1) fuel rails, they must be ZR1 or aftermarket.

They are OEM CTSV V2 wheels painted black. They are forged from the factory so they are strong and light. These were off of a CTSV V2 Sedan.
