I don't know where you are located. I live in lower eastern Michigan. I did my first Ben garden this summer. You have really encouraged me to grow smarter and better next year! Really appreciate your sharing.
Wus UuuPPP Mrs T for Thomas?!! Your ol' lil garden 🙂↔️ is just...Wonderful!!! I am so proud of you! Girl done just blew up and blossomed into a great gardener. Fan-friggin-tastic! I'm still smiling from ear to ear watching your videos. #annoying self 🥰🙄😊
You can soak your luffa in water to remove it from the shell. Soak it in bleach water to get a brighter colour. And to take the seeds out shake them in a container by hitting it from left to right in the container.
Ong! I can hear the excitement in your voice!!! I planted loofah for the first time this past spring as well. It’s so rewarding after waiting so long for them to grow. 🤗 You will have lists of seeds to share. Congratulations on your harvest!😍
Good day to you I was so excited when I see you with that plant would like a plant of your seed I do not know it by that name I know it as porel I am living in Jamaica were are you living your farm is looking good blessing on your garden
I forgot my intended comment! (I was smiling too doggone hard) If you buy fresh fish, save all the uneaten parts and make your own fertilizer. Started doing that a couple yrs ago after realizing that I had to pay for the "whole" fish anyway! I freeze it until I feel I have enough. #5 gallon bucket-full #two birds one stone
I’m going to do my video this morning on ferterlizeing mines with my fish food as well. Since it’s kinda warm we’re going to be in the 40 to 59 degrees today. I took my tarp off mines yesterday.
Hey there, love your loofah. I’d live loofah seeds if you have any left. I’d like to show you any growth. I love that your gardening is a family affair. Thank you 🙏🏽
Congratulations on the luffa seed harvest and the sweet potato harvest. What did you do to grow such large sweet potatoes? Tips and tricks, please :). Such amazing abundance.
Thank you so much! ❤️ This is our third sweet potato harvest and I can honestly say that in each bed, I did nothing "special" I did plant using compost and watered consistently I hope that helps ❤️
Hi I’m a new gardener in zone 8b and would love to try growing loofah. Thanks for always sharing such great content. I really enjoy watching your videos. Happy growing!!!💕
Cut them (leaving at least an inch of the stem) before your frost and let them dry on a wired shelf. Make sure to rotate them at least once a week tonenaure they dry completely and evenly.
Next time try filling the bottom of your beds hugelkulture style. The soil will still settle but it may not be as drastic or as quick. You can also fill with wood chips 😊
Hey Taqueshia, the garden continues to be absolutely beautiful. Quick question: Are you harvesting your broccoli leaves? I discovered they were actually quite good. I mix with collard greens. I try to avoid waste. I haven't yet tried to juice the leaves, hmm, not sure how that might work out. Anyways, just thought I'd throw that out there. BTW, the sweet potato harvest is just amazing! Blessings always 😊
I will be trying loofa for the first time next year! My goal is to incorporate it into my goat milk soap. If you decide to seed share it would be so super special to me!
Hi Taquesha, This is an awesome video! What specific type sweet potatoes are those and where did you purchase the slips? I have never grown any type so let me follow your lead please. Sincerely, Wanda
Hey Wanda!!! ✨ I bought a organic sweet potato from Earth Fare and grew slips from that! It was so simple! This here was my first time trying it and I can honestly say I only laid that potato and some soil and kept the soil moist and those slips grew up abundantly!! This is something that you can definitely do and you should definitely try it! I will start mines again mid February to early March to be ready to put into the ground in April
Hi there. What’s the weather like where you are? I’m in MD and we’re getting 20ish degree weather and frost. I’m hoping this will help my spinach and brassicas grow. Love the videos!
Burrrr! Those brassicas should LOVE that cold! Especially that spinach!! It's been so warm, I haven't been able to germinate spinach! Maybe I can get some to grow now! Our highs have been on the low 70's/ mod 70's for a few days now! With our lows dipping just below freezing at night the last few nights ✨
This was especially fun because I also had a surprise harvest of sweet potatoes! I cubed them and tossed them with garlic, sage, allspice, and olive oil, and roasted them for Thanksgiving. Yum! I also enjoyed hearing the happy sounds of your family in the video. Be blessed; be a blessing!
I love the way you used those sweet potatoes! It sounds delicious! Nothing like eating (and sharing) the food you grow!!! LOVE that!!! And thank youuuuu 🫶🏾
Hi ✨ It's insect netting that I ordered from Amazon! I searched for the link for the specific one that I used and it is no longer available.... Many people have recommended tulle as well!
May I please have three seeds I’m in Ohio and have not yet begun my YT page yet I will share the journey of these seeds with you my friend ❤ keep on inspiring 🎉
I did not know this! Okay have you done this? I have questions.... If you remove the leaves from the broccoli will the broccoli florets continue to grow? I wonder this because of the process of photosynthesis I wonder if the leaves are what are grabbing all of that sunlight and reverting that energy to grow those florets 🤔 Please share your experience 😍
From what I'm hearing, it's a great scrub pad! Another commented that she will use her INSIDE of her homemade soap! Love that idea! What a great exfoliate!

Thanks for sharing. I buy fresh fish and normally tell the bushel to cook off the head and clean the fish.. How do you make your ferlizer?
Do you only use the raw fish parts, or do you use the bones from the cook fish.
