    Nice to see a fellow Speed RS owner here in Melbourne. Sorry to hear you had an incident 3 months ago. At least you are still here to tell the tale thankfully. Cheers from down on the Peninsula.

    Hello..thanks for the video. I have the exact same bike and it’s brilliant isn’t it?!? I bought the Evotech tail tidy which was much easier with no hassle. I also noticed you changed your tyres too..I did the same as I was worried about the Supercorsas in the wet! I hope your enjoying your bike? I’ve had mine over 2 years and I’m not even tempted to swap it in for anything else!

      Dave Kitcher the bike ticked all the boxes, but alas a guy decided he didn’t need to give way and turned right into me, has been a tough year, but almost ready to get back on...my next mod was going to be a RC Racing pipe, miss it every day....if I do go around again it will be Evotech all the way! The Rossos were still pretty fresh, but they definitely slowed down the tip in... wasn’t sure if that was good or bad.... do you find that?

      theGaraged I’m so sorry to hear that mate, that’s heart breaking! I hope you get back in the saddle soon, i think it’s the only thing we can do after something like that if the love for riding is still there? But yeah I agree, the RS ticks all the boxes for sure, it’s a fantastic bike and I actually traded in my brand new Superduke R for mine! Re the supercorsas, I personally love them and how they handle but I live in the south of England where the weather isn’t great at times and I do at least one long tour every year, so they had to go, sadly. All the best mate and I really do hope you get back on a bike soon...keep safe!

      Dave Kitcher funny you mention that, I’m actually considering a super duke R, tell me your thoughts Dave why did you get off the Duke? The streetfighter v4s though 👀....

      theGaraged yep, the street fighter v4 is beautiful but a bit out of my price range! I bought a 2017 SDR and with hindsight, I think I’ve figured out why I didn’t get on with it...it’s very very fierce in how it delivers its power, which is obviously fun..but for me I think in all seriousness that living with that power makes it feel excessive and unusable most of the time...when I rode the RS, I loved how rideable and easy it was to ride smooth and fast by comparison? I’m an experienced and competent rider with 20 years under my belt but the KTM sacred me a bit and I found it to be too much! Having said that, I wonder if I would have got on with it better if it had better suspension and tyres, since the main thing that made me feel unsafe was the vagueness of the front end which I felt took away that connection to the road which most of us need to give us the confidence to ride quick and smooth? It’s an incredible engine, but just not for me unfortunately! It’s all a matter of personal opinion at the end of the day though isn’t it? Interestingly, it looks as if they’ve sorted those issues with the new 2020 model, so might be worth checking it out!?

    Hi mate ... thanks for sharing this .... I have the same bike and recently had the R&G tail tidy fitted but don't like it with the indicators over the exhausts ! Did you have to alter the bracket yourself to fit between the exhausts ? Are they smaller after market indicators ? Many thanks

    • @theGaraged
      @theGaraged  5 років тому

      spiderdave5777 the factory indicators fit using the modified bracket, I had it modified by drilling and threading two new holes so the indicators sit at 90 degrees with the road, come up perfect in the end...

      OK cheers mate 👍🏻 garage fitted mine so I’ll take a look at the bracket and see about altering it 👍🏻

      Emailed R&G .. got a reply to say they have not designed the adjustable version for the RS 😩 hate the indicators above the exhausts ... I’m going to swap for the Evotech version and put the R&G one on an auction site as I can’t be arsed messing about trying to make it look better when there’s one that already does it ... wish I’d seen the Evotech one first 😱! All the best

    What’s the tank protector you’ve added? I have the RS too but can’t find a tank protector that I like!?

      The brand is One Design, I got it from www.mcas.com.au here in Australia, I imagine there would be a few retail options...I had a look at their website, it’s ordinary...best to call them to chase one down...
