Marci is by far my favorite GD captain. Because before her, I really didn't follow any others heavily. Tisha in 2010 maybe. But after that, it wasn't until 2019 when Marci captured my attention back.

When i used to live in Virginia, ioved seeing A&T come play norfoll or hampton. They reminded me of the boom, that made me say "they can give the sonic boom and J-sette a run"
The SWAC is different different....I think maybe the Drum section is better but the The SWAC Jsettes and Golden Girls....Don't play....and lets not even mention the Drum Majors at JSU....THE BEST!!!

Wow .... we were doing Pfunk when I came to NCAT in 1985. It is still going strong. There was no Golden Delight back then though. The flag girls and majorettes were the ones that the cadence was played for. I hope it goes on forever!

There ain't nothing like having a fire drum section in a marching band!!! But we have just got to bring the majorettes and twirling batons back to where used to be.
Not quite sure if I understand the "we need to bring back the majorettes and batons back to where it used to be statement ". Because these ladies have never lost their majorette/baton tradition. Hence, a 30 year anniversary celebration. Most squads, that started out with the majorette style. No longer have it. Whereas, Golden Delight have maintained baton twirling and majorette style since their existence!
