Fireflies was the first song/video I ever watched on UA-cam and I remember how utterly mesmerized I was by Owl City. Now, almost 9 years later, Owl City still continues to make amazing music that brightens my day.

I came back and listened to this song recently. I can’t help but drown in my tears now. My dad passed away two days ago from internal bleeding. He had a nickname that he gave me and I used to hate it. He would always call me “Boogerhead”. I’d give anything for me to hear him call me that one more time.
The lyrics “he taught me to drive, how fight, and how to dream.” Those were things that my dad would teach me most days. The beginning of this song always gets me, because him and I would talk about our favorite superheroes. I’d say Spider-Man, he’d say Iron-Man. But then their were days when I would tell him “Your my hero dad.” This song will always make me think of him.

Well, the Icelandic band Of Monsters And Men has great, deep music too. Their style is different, but it's beautiful and magical exactly like his. Also, I heard they're working on their 3rd album after a few years of "hibernating".
It's been 2 years, this is my opinion why Adam didn't make music frequently recently:
it's 2020 now. I honestly don't know why, but people now were taught how to look upward, leave everything behind. They thought, no matter how people hate me, they'll still be on the top. They stepped on, moving away from their wreckages, not bothering it, and keep wrecking up more things. We don't even care about them anymore. And Hundreds of people are doing the same.
2019. Kyoto Animation burst in flames. Etika suicided.
Back to 2020. People we all know are going through Coronavirus. Even more loss. Chadwick Boseman passed away. The more we move up, the bolder we are.
I don't want to move up. It keeps me in so much suffer.
Staying away from those "cool music" and Tik Tok hits, I traveled around back to where Adam Young was a guy in music.
Yeah, things sucks now, nothing can take over it.
Owl City never made anything again, after 2018's album "Cinematic". No one knows anything about him afterward. And I know, because of a society we live in, his wish for a beautiful world dies away from where music was not about drugs and sex.
I'm sorry for making this a bit depressed. But maybe, you know, there will be someone who would wake us up from everything we've done terribly, and by ourselves taking another chance to fix our mistakes. Empathy, responsibility, and even trust; it's all we need for a better world.

He works hard, buult his motorcycle with parts and tweaked it. He's like me a lot, and I look like him.
He's a funny guy and a lot of fun to be around. He's definitely like a hero to me.

I just heard this for the first time at work today. It almost made me cry 😢
My dad wasn't around all the time when I was growing up because of his job. But when he was at home, it was only him and me. Watching movies, going around together or playing Rock & Roll with the guitar and piano. 100% Father & Son.
He didn't build me a tree house but he did teach me how to fight and dream. His message was something like "You can do whatever you want with your life. Just make sure that it takes you somewhere".
He passed away in 2017 at 55 years old because of a cancer, in México. We spent together all April month of that year together. And we didn't have a good relationship back then until we met again. And in that month we revived the good times together. Father & Son again, knowing that it would be the last time I could be with him.
He died 5 years ago and I still think of him every single day.
Now I'm 33, I have a steady job and living on my own. But I do regret that he's not alive to enjoy all of this with me.
