I was devastated to hear the news today. I've been crying most of the afternoon and evening. The lady gave me countless hours of joy and often picked me up when I was feeling low. I will miss her more than I could ever say. She was a personal hero to me. She was the greatest singer / stage performer I have ever seen. She could have fronted any band that could be named. She was better than any of her male counterpart. My heart is broken. Rest in peace, Tina. May The Lord great her at the gates of Heaven. May God's band play her in. I love you Tina. Thanks for the memories.

Surviving neglect from her mother as a young girl, surviving an abusive first husband, and then surviving after leaving her first husband; singing in supper clubs to tired audiences and TV variety shows just to pay the bills when the industry wrote her off as "too old." A young girl from Nutbush Tennessee sure made something of her life!

She survived so much and her strength was inspirational. I'm thankful I got to see her 3 times in concert.....those legs of hers were incredible even at 68 years. A legend that has left behind her mark for all the generations here and those yet to come.

Tina Turner suffered from high blood pressure and lost her kidneys. and colon cancer. You are forever in my heart and your songs will always be forever and your phenomenal success to come out of the trash. I love you Tina forever.
