Thank you for all the great uploads, Pastor Shawn. I have been saving them all to a Christmas Harp Playlist. Such beautiful arrangements and presentation. Just a beginner harp player here. I prefer hymns and worship songs.
Thank you for listening. For the past couple years during Advent and Christmas, I release one video per day via Facebook to friends and link it to church. I call them "One=Take Music Meditations" for Advent/Lent. It has been amazing how I have connected to so many people...new friends, old friends, long lost family members alike. I practice harp daily as a spiritual practice, so it is not too much of a stretch for me to press "record" on my phone to make these rather crude videos. I record in one take, and do not editing...just leave them out here with their imperfections. People seem to appreciate them still. Keep going with your harp journey! It's a challenging instrument to play well, but it's well worth it when hard work pays off. I have had harps for nearly 25 years now, but it has only been in the past 4 or 5 that I have gotten more diligent in practice.
Such a beautiful arrangement, definitely on my 'to do' list thanks to you, Shawn! I just googled this because I don't even know the tune... and now, in the middle of the night in the UK, I'm listening to a half hour music documentary about John Jacob Niles and about how this tune came to be. I'll sleep again later! 😁

I love this tune and Carol's arrangement is one of the best ones I have for harp. It's just enough and fairly easy to put together.
