I have an update on my dog Logan, the last dog in this video! A couple weeks after this video something clicked in him and now he's 100% on side roads. His dog walker took him down that road to her car almost every day and I took him down every morning and evening with treats and after about 2 weeks his fear subsided (he's very food motivated!) We've now also added a pomeranian puppy to our family who is very confident so I expect him to feel much more secure. Thanks so much for looking at my video Victoria!

My sister's GSD used to get easily spooked by everything on walks and the fix I found was surprisingly simple: jog to keep her focus on keeping pace instead of the environment. At a walking pace, she just had way too much time to get distracted by and worry about the environment.

My dogs bow down to queen sassy, a calico we adopted from the shelter - all other cats they chase out of the yard.
Queen sassy bows down to peanut, a mean cockatiel who is afraid of nothing and despises everything. The cat got to close to his cage once, contact was made, the bird pecked the cats nose and now she will not go anywhere near that bird.
The funniest part of my zoo is all of the animals except the bird loves to play with the two ferrets.

She has a ball she sleeps with and carries around with her and I just have to hide it from her until she forgets about it or she'll attack other dogs over it and cry when it goes missing. She literally drops it into her water bowl when she drinks so the other dogs can't get close to it 🤦🏼‍♀️

We are on meadow and from far I see a girl riding on a bike with dog that isn't on lead. The dog runs to Brita and agressively bites her. The girl catch her dog and I go back home explaining what happend. I was in big shoke at that time. Brita had two bites on front legs, one near her ear and one on the back leg. The wound on the back leg was so deep that wet must sow it. Now she is fine healthy. We love her.💜

For the 2nd story/video (the one with the pup that got sad when removed from the grandparents) you forgot one additional thing that would be very helpful. Scent. Scent is a huge factor, as you mentioned. It would be helpful to have something like a doggy blanket or some toy that has been kept at the grandparent's house for long enough to absorb the scent of the house and the humans there. Bring that item (or multiple items if possible) into the home with the pup and the pup will at least have familiar scents to associate with the new home.

Watching these makes me wonder of my old dog, a cairn terrier with a weird hobby. One day when my mother was vacuming she bent under her and dad's beds. She found a pile of paper napkins. It turned out that whenever our dog found a possibility, he would steal the napkins we used for dinner, normally the ones we put in our laps while eating, and if they fell down he would collect them and then hide them under the beds. I have never been able to understand why this came to be. Sadly, I had no photo or video evidence of this because I was 10 years old when we gave him away (I'm 32 now) and the family that took him told that he died in 2010 (16 years old).

This makes me want to get myself a dog.
I had a border collie pushed on me for caring for it, as a teenager. I had to sink or swim and no one was there. Internet wasn't around too accessibly at that time! Thankfully the dog was a border collie, which is considered the most intelligent breed of all smart dog breeds. It was easy enough to use human brain power and creative "convergent" evolution, to figure out how to make it do what I wanted.
This was incredible difficult, though it was a submersible way to learn and experience dog training.

Hello! I have two dogs and i do not know if they get a along.
The things that you might need to know!:
    Molly is a Groodle.
Molly is a 1 year old puppy. She loves to nibble on my hand and bring me to the couch.
She loves pets and toys. She is very energetic and love to zoom around the back yard.
Diesel (yes, i know a very odd name.)
    Diesel is a Beaglier.
Diesel is a 9 year old dog.( In human years.)
He is a very old and tired dog :(. He often in the morning cries because he wants food since he is on a diet because he was very overweight, but he seems alot better now.
My problem is they *FIGHT* alot. I cannot tell if they are play fighting or having a absolute war.
Please tell me how to fix this. :) - lots of love from Luka! ♡

just now seeing and all I have to say is this. There are times were Zander doesn't want to go done the street when out walking and I have to baby talk with "Come on, let's go" in baby talk and get him to follow, which has worked. Is there another way of getting him to follow me down a street while out on walks or what I'm doing ok?

I used to have a huskyxlab named Koko and a lab mutt named Bruiser. Bruiser would lay on his bed and Koko would leave her bed to lie on the floor next to Bruiser's bed, and he would lick her ears. It was gross but her ears always looked like I had just cleaned them afterwards.

    Greetings Ma'am
    Very informative video
    Thank you..
May I suggest, something for the Sophie in the 2nd video.. I think an animal communicator would be able to tell why exactly she becomes so depressed.
    Just a humble suggestion.
Only for the sake of the little dog.
    🙏🏻🙂

My pup, Charlotte is terrified if thunderstorms and fireworks. I've had dogs who are scared of those. But not as bad as her. She refuses to go outside even after all of it is over. She huddles under the table or with me, and I can feel her trembling. And she tries to crawl behind me. She goes in my room and crawls under my pillows on my bed.

      Sarah Thank you!
they bark when we put in their leads on i assume it’s out of pure excitement and then one of our dogs pulls more than the other dog in the lead she also tends to be the first to growl/bark at other dogs on a walk they also bark at the doorbell,,people walking past the house,,car doors shutting and the neighbouring dog they just bark at everything i also can’t get them to look at me while practicing the “watch me” command

@@poppymay4255 in the show I've seen that when the dog barks inside the house they close the windows with the curtains and wait till they are not barking anymore and then open it again, if they start barking, once again you shut the curtains until they understand that you are going to let them see if they are calm

    • @chickenpollo9424
      @chickenpollo9424 4 роки тому +3

@@poppymay4255 for the doorbell problem I suggest you watch the episode of the two Maltese (I think that is their breed), and they do the exercise of 'quiet' or 'enough' I don't remember the word, but teach them to desensitize the sound. There are also other episodes were the dog would start barking and they won't go to the door until the dog is quiet

    • @chickenpollo9424
      @chickenpollo9424 4 роки тому +3

@@poppymay4255 and for the leash problem Victoria always suggest to walk the dogs separately so you can manage them better and one of the dog doesn't incentive the other dog to behave the same wrong way. And when you are sure you have full control of both dogs, you can start walking them together. I suggest you watch the episode of the doberman and the fox terrier (although there are a lot of them in which they work on these issues).....Hope this can give you a little help in where to start! I'm not an expert, I'm just telling you what I've seen on the show😊

Hello Mrs. Stilwell! I have a miniature schnauzer who doesnt eat fast but rather eats in big chunks, as in sometimes he wont eat for at least a day. I was wondering, if he's more active, will his appetite improve? And would I need to get one of the bowls you use to have them work/find their food?
