Another amazing video! It’s so cool to see the future of professional go developing! The AI enhanced generation is so amazing! It’s also really cool at the top three youngest players are also all female!
I dunno if I’m allowed to request a game but when I came across the Round 1 of the 2019 Korean Women’s League Final (Fujisawa Rina vs Cho Seung-a), there were a lot of weird moves that seemed incomprehensible to me

Genius girl indeed! Hey, go pro Yeonwoo, you may consider creating some merchandise like t-shirt or mug for your channel. I would definitely order that. Thank you for your content 🙏

For me, KimEnJi reminds me Chang-Ho Lee. I don't know why but she shows somehow strong movements and a thick rhythm that Chang-Ho used to show us. It is just my feeling.
Thank you Yeon-Woo. I enjoyed alot this one. :-)

could you show us how the move in the upper right, the "last test" changes the life & death of black's center group? it is too complicated for me to see

How to become a professional at such a young age? I think this is only possible in Korea, China or Japan. My daughters Vera (8 years old) and Maria (9 years old) are your fans, I hope your videos will help them become professionals in Ukraine.

does Ukraine have a professional go system?

    • @muuubiee
      @muuubiee 4 роки тому

Ukraine is part of EGF, European Go Federation.
Every few years there's a tournament, that you qualify to by playing in regular tournaments. The winner of this tournament becomes a pro. It used to be every year, for a few years, and then now I think there's another pro this year. After that they're not sure when the next one happens, since they don't want to make every single strong player a pro (rather they want to let younger generations have time to get strong, to get new blood among the competitors).
If they become strong they can become pros in EGF, but EGF does not pay pros enough money to live on. For that they'd have to move to Japan or Korea, and enter through their pro exams.

Child prodigies often have huge amounts of pressure piled on to them by the adults in their lives.

It's unfortunately quite common. A lot of pressure, not quite mature yet. Teenagers also have a quite different risk awareness than adults, plus rule-breaking is part of the growing up/breaking with authority tendency of puberty.
I guess cheating in games is better than shoplifting or pregnancy.
I think we should give kids the chance to get past such mistakes, much more so than cheating adult professionals.

Not a fan of these handicap games. Either you win or you lose. Im not in a level, where komi would matter anyways, but if I would aim to be top pro, I would feel I would have lost by 3,5 points, if I were the girl.
Can you give an explanation, why the pros of the past from 1900 and before didnt win 90%+ of their games as black, when komi didnt exist?

There is also a winner and loser. They don't just shake hands and call it a draw -_-.

Too bad Kim Eunji was discovered in September using A.I. during a match. Lee Shang Ho reviewed the game afterwards and found all her moves were 100% A.I. and the girl won by a landslide when in fact both girls were slightly equal in strength.
When asked she admitted but was allowed to play her games. In October she publicly admitted to using A.I. so the KBA has a conference and gave her a year of rest.
