I have a question, is cancer contagious? how do you get diagnosed with cancer? is it from other people? or is it your health.
I’m not a doctor but I’ll try my best. No cancer is not contagious. Usually people will get diagnosed through a biopsy which means after finding a lump the doctor will take some of that lump to get tested in a lab to tell them if it’s a tumour and if it’s benign( meaning it won’t grow or spread )or malignant( meaning it will spread and grow ) as said cancer is not contagious so it’s not from other people it can be from your health or genetics, so it can be hereditary but it’s rare. Cancer usually happens from a whole bunch of risk factors to do with your cells. I’ll give an example, although it’s always many risk factors one risk itself can be sunburns. so basically when you get a sunburn depending on the severity of the burn your cells will either be damaged or will die to make new cells. The damaged cells or a new cell could have a defect in its duplication process meaning all other cells created from that one bad cell will also be bad cells, these cells will then go on to grow and spread which is what we know as cancer.
I have cancer and currently going through treatment, cancer is not contagious 😂😂 I promise
