This is why after HS kids should either have a job and work for a few years before college OR go to college part time and work. They won’t have time to get immersed into this type of silliness at college. I worked for a year after HS then went into the military then went to college. I went to college at night first and worked part time while I was also a mom and wife. This was in the late 70s-80s. But I was also raised in a working class diverse area of NYC till I was 16 and I think that helped open my eyes to the world, too. My daughter became liberal in late HS. She lived at home and went to college part-time. Then she moved away to a different city about six hours away. She kept working for the same company and going to college part time while working full-time. She moved into management. And that really opened up her eyes. She ended up becoming conservative again and returned to church! Now she’s married to a nice conservative man and has a couple of kids.
I’m very grateful for my path back to God. I had to leave my church of birth as a wife married to a man also raised that way. I had to then go through ten years to unlearn/forget that abuse and then go through trying using new age stuff and realizing how empty it is to then be open to true Christianity. I’m very grateful for how it shaped me and there was no other way to get the depth of understanding that I have. No amount of books or anything else.
I’ve had the distinct blessing to have become friends with Kelley over the last couple years, so I’ve heard her story several times, but she never ceases to impact me. With formidable intellect and a fearless nature, she is a wonderful ambassador for the Lord. Moreover, her voice is absolutely vital in speaking to the evils of feminist Marxist theory. Men who say the same things are dismissed as purveyors of the “patriarchy” who are insensitive to the realities of womanhood. But with Kelley, you get a highly intellectual educated woman who has “been there and done that” and “gets it.” It gives her credibility to speak to critical theory nonsense.
Steve - You've been so instrumental in my "unawokening" and growth in the Lord. You simply held a mirror up for me to process my thoughts and were available for me to work through them ad nauseum. You're a true brother and I praise God for your role in my life.
What a fabulous interview! I decided to follow you, Kelley. I've been a Christian since I was 9, but only recently realized Christianity begins at Genesis 1, not at the cross. Your comment on that really resonated with me! Also, my husband was adopted & has found 3 half-sibs. Abortion advocates make me crazy with all their talk that devalues their lives! I would love to hear you also interview with The Center for Biblical Unity as well as Alissa Childers!

Great interview! As an adoptee, even one who didn’t have a very good childhood with my adoptive family, I loved this so much! I gained a deeper perspective as an adult God was merciful in that I didn’t grow up with an unstable mentally ill mother but she wanted for me to be in a Christian home. Looking back I can see God’s hand on my life through a lot of brokenness and He has healed and redeemed so much! Thank you Kelly for your voice and your testimony!
Yes, we have much in common my friend. Whether our parents are awesome or challenging has nothing to do with being adopted, it's just part of the human condition. The world tells us a different story. I always say I have three moms: one who gave me life, one who brought me up in this life, and one who gave me the love of my life. That's the goodness of God - we were given life for His handiwork. The tough times were the Job moments as we call them ... the breaking must happen before the entering. God bless you.
@@kelleykeller amen sister. Thank you for responding, I’m thankful we both understand to look upward to see His beauty when we see the brokenness even in our own lives, and suffering happens. Another homerun for McDowell. Great guest great interview. The courage and determination of this woman really shines through. I am really learning a lot about “tolerance” from these. I fear that I’ve been too closed and upset by people who are struggling with these things and that’s it’s pushed them away. You never think of yourself as a representative of Christ when you aren’t in full time ministry. I need to work on that
So so important that we learn to engage with non-believers intellectually; this woman clearly had a hunger for truth and ethical reasoning from day one. Instead of slinging John 3:16 at the non-believer 20 times we need to stop, listen to what our intellectually hungry atheist friends are saying, and engage them on their stumbling blocks with carefully studied apologetics. You still go straight from the Bible, but you are curating and presenting the wisdom in such a way that directly engages with the non-believer’s stumbling blocks. For example, one I like to use is what she said at the end: you simply cannot ground moral duties (to be good, to be non-violent, to follow the law, etc.) if we are just advanced animals. Animals abandon the slowest of the herd and sometimes even kill their own. So if a non-believer starts homing in on Exodus 20 (big shock lol) I say “Who are you to say what is wrong without first consulting me about my ‘individual constructed morality’”? Too lazy to look up the verse, but hey, if it’s just us out here, then everything really is vanity; everything is pointless.
Dear Kelley, thank you SO much for sharing. It is amazing how your testimony shows how God ties everything at the end for good and uses even the sins of others to bring goodness. 🙏 I am a recent Christian, a therapist and a child social worker and is very clear to me how he is doing that in your story. And yes, you are right: what those women who are pro-abortion are saying is that your life as a child from rape doesn't matter. But not only that. They are also saying that your biological mother's act of love and strength of having you after such a traumatic experience also doesn't matter and the act of love of your adoptive parents of raising you also doesn't matter. They say they are loving people but they do not know what love is. They don't recognize love when they see it. 💔 The amount of selfishness that is at the center of all of this is unbelievable. It breaks my heart because I was myself a feminist, a marxist and an atheist for 18 years, and I had an abortion too. I was told by my atheist boyfriend at the time that it was the best choice. 💔 Thankfully I became Christian 2 years ago and God has been amazingly good with me, I could not be more grateful🙏. Anyhow, I loved your story because it is a great example of how God ties everything together and even uses other people's sins (like he used Judas' sin to crucified Jesus and achieve our salvation) to achieve his plans and his goodness. Praise God and all glory to him!❤
Prayers for your mama Kelly! Thank you for this interview! ❤ As someone who took the easy way of Roe vs Wade. I agree with the selfish assessment to women who did this, I certainly was. I Praise God that He indeed truly does forgive EVERYTHING! Again thank you!

When she made the point about rape and abortion and how she would not be alive if her mom had an abortion. That is abortion advocates go to line. Wow that clicked for me. God chose for those kids to be born and their life is valuable. They are born from sinful acts but so are so many because this is a fallen world. Yes 👏

I wasn't raised in a cult but my family was a high demand family with a good deal of abuse and neglect. In my 20s I encountered 12 step groups which I experienced as a gateway to new age and highly speculative ideas about who God is. I appreciated Naomi's story and how she focused on the tension between abuse and love, truth and lies, . . . The complexity of humanity that is lost.
Terrific interview - perhaps my favorite. No sugar coating the steps of her survival and journey to faith. Interesting, dimensional, and relatable woman with a story that must be told. Her biological mother is close to my age. I remember the early days of Roe, when young teenage girls, hanging out in my neighborhood playground, bragged about their abortions. An eerie time when the closest thing to seeking God, for me, was watching an episode of The Waltons.
This was a marvelous interview, I love her fight and spunk at 48:45 or so. That kind of fire is so needed to affirm life as valuable and worth fighting for. Thank you Kelley. 🌻
God loves us and cares about us very much He is truly the Greatest Father and the Bestest Friend and He always knows and wants what is best for us and we are all equal but He is a God of order and if you think there is injustice in the world (bad things happen because of sin freewill the devil and the demons only want to steal kill and destroy) but don’t worry God is Just and He will serve Justice 😊❤

By the way God is our Healer and He has the Power to Heal us 😊❤ We are healed by the Blood of Jesus by accepting and receiving His Promises He took all of our sins and curses and sicknesses and all the bad on the cross for us even though we do not deserve it He did it because He loves us Isaiah 53:5 “But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.”
23:24 I haven't even got halfway through I just have to share how much I identify with Kelley. I had weight struggles and body shaming, I dealt with Greek life and I remember woman's studies classes changing my worldview. I am so glad I turned away from all of that but it was a very well laid trap. Funny fact I was also adopted but by my aunt. I knew my mom growing up but just met my dad 2 years ago.
I know God speaks to us through our circumstances. It's when I came to the end of myself. I had no one but God. The event was when my son was murdered in 2003. It took 15 years to reconcile with God through His entering into it with me in love.
I would love to meet the woman who gave birth to me that has been my dream since I was 10 I am an adopted child and would love to meet the person and I don't even know how about going to figure that out
32:41 i am pretty sure data shows married men are happier not married woman. Married men live longer than single and married woman live shorter than single
Sean, I thought Kelley would reveal examples of the evidence that ultimately led to her conclusion that Christianity is true, unfortunately, it was all emotions. She did not even begin to demonstrate why Christianity is true and other world views are wrong. However, I am always happy for people who find hope, meaning and purpose in their lives.
Providing evidence for the truth of Christianity wasn't the purpose of the interview, it was sharing parts of a personal journey in the course of an hour. But I appreciate you raising the issue. Nothing about my faith or understanding of scripture is emotional. As a lawyer and doctoral student in Christian apologetics, mining evidence is my forte. But, most importantly, in addition to the overwhelming evidence for its accuracy that we can ascertain, the Bible is true because God said it was. You believe him or you don't. I rely on His faith, not mine. Galations 2:20. I am very public with my process of worldview construction and publish frequently. Have a blessed Sunday.
@@kelleykeller I don’t want to disturb your Sunday, but as a lawyer you would know that something is not true just because somebody says it’s true. Given that the Bible is an anthology, put together over centuries, and was written by fallible authors, where in the bible does God say it’s true? Which part is true? Which version and interpretation is true? If you do not speak Aramaic, Hebrew or Greek, how do you know that your Bible has been translated correctly? As a lawyer dealing with evidence and whether claims meet certain stands of proof, these are things that concern me.
@horridhenry9920 Hello. I hope you don't mind me jumping in here. There is tons of evidence for the truth/legitimacy of the Bible & historical Christianity. Not all of us can learn Aramaic, Hebrew or Greek, so we study info from others who have. Being a lawyer, you might like checking out Gary Habermass. You'll find other sources from there. And for an archeological perspective, I love following Expedition Bible here on UA-cam. God bless you on your journey!
@@pammichel8314 Thanks for your comment. I am familiar with the work of Gary Habermas. The first volume of his “ magnum opus “, “ on the Resurrection, Volume 1: Evidences” was published in January. Unfortunately, his “ Evidences” are at best claims that would not be admissible in court. I am familiar with his “minimal facts, and he provides nothing new. @@horridhenry9920 Just because something is admissible in court doesn't mean it's true & inadmissible doesn't equal untrue. So to me, that seems to be an artificial requirement influenced by any number of cognitive biases. Are you familiar with J Warner Wallace?

32:13 I had the same problem, though my family weren't Christians. I understood the morals, but didn't know 'why not', and no one would answer it.
Great interview! God bless your ministry.
God Bless You too!
Thank you for listening!
Thank you for sharing your story.
This is such an impactful interview!! Thank you, Kelley and Sean!
Thank you, Meridith! Appreciate you sister!
I enjoyed this interview. Love her curios nature.
This was a marvelous interview,
I love her fight and spunk at 48:45 or so.
And we must have a second interview with her about abortion and other topics, this is not enough!!!
This is super strong and amazing piece of work from God!
God bless you Kelley!!!! Thank you!! Gracias!!!!
My pleasure. Praise the Lord!
Amazing story! Thank you! Such a blessing!
THIS WAS AWESOME!!!! I learned so much from Kelley & your great questions. Been a Christian a long time and learned a lot just listening to her experience and conclusions. Thank u Kelley & Sean 🇨🇦 ❤
Great testimony!
Our beautiful Kelley is vital for an infant daughter to be raised by strongest Heirs Hosts! I so thank thee for attending unto our beautiful who am I? Can be made NEW to bring to remembrance thy "i" AM beautiful in front!
Amazing interview!! God is so good!!
I've never heard what the thoughts were behind the intersection of Marxism and Feminism explained so clearly and concisely before, thank you so much for this interview!!
Makes me think of Rosario butterfield. Also English. Also feminist lesbian converted radically to Jesus
Loved this interview! I want to be friends with Kelly lol she seems so fun!
Jesus can save anyone in any situation!
Beautiful ❤️❤️
By the way God is our Healer and He has the Power to Heal us 😊❤
We are healed by the Blood of Jesus by accepting and receiving His Promises He took all of our sins and curses and sicknesses and all the bad on the cross for us even though we do not deserve it He did it because He loves us
Isaiah 53:5
“But He was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
I easily could have been this lady if I didn't have a good church to go to when my world flipped upside down when my good, holy parent had an affair.
What a wonderful interview with an amazing woman
"If two contradictory statement further communism both are true" I don't know who I am quoting!
lol, that’s rich! Love it. Another one is MAL: Marxists Always Lie.
Amazing!
Excellent talk! Really interesting
Who am I made NEW to "i" AM beautiful in front of thee! Likewise my Beautiful shared "i" AM carry thy comfort with Thee! From the Comforter.
I learned a lot from Kelley's story.
I know God speaks to us through our circumstances. It's when I came to the end of myself. I had no one but God. The event was when my son was murdered in 2003. It took 15 years to reconcile with God through His entering into it with me in love.
Really like her spirit 😊
One of my favorite shows! Thank you.
👊
I would love to meet the woman who gave birth to me that has been my dream since I was 10 I am an adopted child and would love to meet the person and I don't even know how about going to figure that out
Contact the agency first.
My husband was successful by contacting the adoption agency.
32:41 i am pretty sure data shows married men are happier not married woman. Married men live longer than single and married woman live shorter than single
At the end, Jesus wins.
Yes, some of the places mentioned in the bible existed.
@@horridhenry9920
Just because something is admissible in court doesn't mean it's true & inadmissible doesn't equal untrue. So to me, that seems to be an artificial requirement influenced by any number of cognitive biases.
Are you familiar with J Warner Wallace?
I would be careful with imbibing too much voddie baucham. He’s a bit too far on the other end of legalistic error.
He's done a great job to bring critical theory to the masses. I'm not a Calvinist, so I part with him on many theological issues. But his Fault Lines was very helpful to me while reconciling culture and Christianity.
Sean, please remember that protestantism is heresy, popular, but still heresy.
👍🤚🙏
👍
Marxian? Marxist, Sean. But I guess it's a UA-cam mistake.
That’s what she calls it, and how she describes it in her story online.
It's an accurate use of the term. I wasn't a Marxist, I was a feminist with Marxist characteristics. That's Marxian Feminist ... very different from traditional Marxist. Thanks for the comment.
😂
It’s a valid term.
I can't stand listening to people talk through those crappy headset mics. It's like a tin can.
It’s annoying initially but then the conversation takes over.
P
If you don't like feminism you could try living in saudi Arabia or Afghanistan
Your feminine voice.. yeah.
Thank you!
Haha 😂 😂 i think this channel is radical jesus channel 😂 😂 i
