Beautiful Jeanette. A block that I have on my "list to do". I am thinking once I have my sewing room finished. ❤
I love your wall hanging.
Very cute and looks easy.
I love it. Thank you. ❤
I love it.
Love it! Going to make one as well . Thank you
Love the easy way you made it❤
I ❤that
Another great tutorial from The Sewing Studio! Thank you!!
Very cute! Thank you.
Why are you “kissing the line” and not sewing on it??
If you sew right on the line you don't allow room for the fold of the fabric which takes up just enough space to cause your snowballed piece to not lay back exactly right. I sew a couple of threads to the outside of the line to allow for the fold of fabric.
@@cynthiajones1461 thank you. I find techniques vary too much so it can be unclear as to why. Appreciate you explaining the why. Still somewhat new to quilting.
Too cute
Exactly right, Jeanette says that if you sew on the line when you fold it back you’ll be slightly short on the corner. If you give yourself a thread’s width ‘kissing the line’ it’ll allow for the extra when folding, making sure it matches when you fold it.
Ahh Jeanette, another fun block. I've never been tempted to make a spool block but you make it look easy, and I will give it a go.
I am in the process of making the smaller blocks from my scraps. Thanks for the multiple sizes!! Another great video from the Sewing Studio!!
Thank you..that's where I have my trouble. Next time, I'll try folding in the middle, and maybe it will come right. I just love this block. Love you both. Love your turtorials.bye from USA MISSOURI.
I live near Branson, but in Arkansas! I love this channel too❤
Another great tutorial. This block has been on my to do list for a long time. I’m nearly finished my sewing room and once it’s done I’m going to give it a go. How do you like the 9480QC machine? I got one in December and I do love it, my previous machine was also a computerised Janome, about 12 years old and it’s a bit like going from driving a tractor to flying a spaceship! It does so many things that I haven’t even touched upon yet even just basic sewing is completely different. The lighting on it is brilliant as it the throat space.
I have this fantastic machine. Like you I keep wanting to manually put the foot down. When I use my other machines I wait for the foot to rise automatically 😂😂. Love the spool block. 🤗
Love this! I’ve got ideas about just putting strip quilting in the thread area!! Great video thanks!
I would love to make this wall hanging (it’s wonderful). Do you have measurements for a larger block?
Been wanting to sew the spool block. Like your method of centering.
Loved the tutorial - going to definitely make some!😊
Gorgeous pattern
Oh you can read my mind. Ihave been hoping to do this block.
Thank you for this tutorail. Thank you saying that everything does not have to match up perfectly. 🥰
Have always loved the spool block. Thank you for sharing!
Super cute. Thanks❤
Love this I need to make one🧵
Lovely. I'm going to try it. How do I get the download of measurements for alternative sizes you mentioned, please?
Hello, it's in the description box, but you can also download it here: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0662/0282/9034/files/Spools_Block.pdf
