"Uhh- I need to finish this..." Smart girl. Probably should be dropped from the force immediately for that take, though. Not exactly running to the sound of the action. Boss man should step down as an ineffective, indecisive commander. Also- these ops room people are the only backup available? Damn.
There are always ppl like that..in fact one of few times seen it portrayed. That is not an ops room but Cons Writing Room where ppl go to do statements etc
Tbh this is Ireland.
Read off another vid of this show that she's the daughter of the Police chief/commisoner something like that and doesn't like being on duty. That's why the guy in white was hesitant.
She didn't really want to be there. She was in there because her mother was a high ranking officer and manipulated her to be there. Like her mother she was manipulating the boss man so she could avoid higher risk duties of the job.

The login could time out after a short period of inactivity. Though your concern is addressed in the series.
Well, don't forget that it's a police station. Not to mention a police station in Northern ireland. They have heavy, heavy security measures. It's basically like walking into a prison. It's not that simple to just get in, get into a security area, and get into a computer that's left on. And the computers after some time of inactivity I think it's something like 5 minutes, they will go into sleep mode and require a password

Seriously? Why is every police officer in this video so intense, unprofessional and lacking confidence?
This would have gone different in the US.
would it aye
I don’t understand. How is this intense? They are afraid and nothing happens. Not trying to be rude, but I don’t get it. I understand the cops aren’t liked, but why is this considered suspenseful?
You can't just leave it there ! What happened ??
this drama pretty good.
minus the double 'only'
If I was the male police officer I would have left the female officer. Warn her that it's a set up and she still want s to hang around. Good bye.
That is exactly what you are not supposed to do as a cop. Good thing you aren't one.
If rescue swimmers can go out and rescue another drunken bstard for the sixth time risking life and limb then a cop can stick with their partner even when a bad decision is made in the heat of action.
Imagine it'be protocol for cops to just leave their buddy when they think its better to get out of there. Mental man.
Never leave your mucker!
And how would you leave..drive off in the car and leave her there.
Thx God your not a cop or anything close to it.
To everyone telling thos guy they're glad he's not a cop, I'd rather him be a cop. If he's smart enough to recognize a set-up and his dumbass partner WANTS to get them both killed then the partner is on their own. There is a limit to partners covering each other, and your partner intentionally staying in a situation where both of you can be surrounded and killed is NOT a partner worth having.
Two reason right there why women should not be put in a man's job.
What episode is this. want to watch.
Regardless of the situation I'll never let someone else's stupidity put my life in danger. I would have left her and at least be alive to lose my job later.
Well then luckly you're not a cop since you'd be a terrible partner
@@g.c.4824 Grace seems to be putting in a solid bid for terrible partner in this scene.
Thank God, your not a cop, if you could put your patner in danger like this, can't imagine what you would do to a total stanger..... which is your job description, deal with total strangers every single minute off and on duty.
@@chinchin6509 well she did put her partner in danger after being warned multiple times.
The point of being a pig is to deal with these situations and help people with issues. It's not gunning down unarmed black kids in an alley or idly browsing instragram in a hallway outside a classroom where someone is murdering 6-year-olds.
What's a double ob?
I’m guessing Out Of Bounds
Out of Bounds. The local gang is under surveillance by a different law enforcement group, which want to use them to implicate larger crime families in illegal activities and convict them. So they need the local cops to stay out of it. That's not a spoiler since it's introduced very early in the series.
I thoung , that Irish cops are unarmed!
Very good but could not take it seriously when the boss of McEntire family is a double for eric cantano😅😅😅...

CALL THE BACKUP TO GARDA :) THIS MESSAGE FROM CHINA PR :)
I'm sorry but this was total total nonsense this never would have happened like this. That male officer would not have been dithering around unsure what to do, he would have reacted immediately and the female officer would not have the situational awareness of a grapefruit.
Their colleagues would not be sat around an office nervously wondering what to do. I appreciate that this is fiction and meant to be a drama but it does not remotely depict what happens in the PSNI at all.
I understand yet equally you have someone here saying that worked with PSNI and officers have to be chased out
I saw the exact same scene, a cop trying to calm down a schizophrenic, armed woman, while the other one was nervously looking at the inhabitants forming the circle, until the gang leaders arrived - then the stones started to fly. This was not in NI, but lot of countries have these difficult districts where any thing can go out of control and police feels out of their area.
You do realize the female officer was a new recuit, right? She was still in her probationary period. Her approach is consistent with the backstory of the character.
@@brandonreed09 i have to say though that the more clips have seen, the more i wonder how much input they had from former RUC/PSNI officers. There is another clip where the same probationer is criticised by the protected PC re drinking (night) before a shift. Unless things are very different in the PSNI (and yes i do appreciate they carry firearms routinely) then i would be surprised if that doesnt happen
hi i apologize for the police actor in this video, i didnt mean to offend her regarding blonde hair or blue eye. sorry

Northern Ireland. The cops are doing the required work, but they are in a Republican (catholic, independentist) fiefdom (I dunno what double OB is for, some kind of Off limit?). Before the peace agreement cops were seen as unionist (protestant, pro-british) armed force and not welcomed there. Showing weapons could start a riot, and the local gang as the means to make it deadly. So official advice is to leave, but human feeling is to try to put things under control.

Interesting i do enjoy a good british tv series
Whenever they do a PSNI show why do they need to put in a English person in?
They probably think English people won't watch a show set in NI that doesn't have an English character in it.
It's a bit like the old mantra that Hollywood won't make films with predominantly black or asian casts because "white people won't watch them" which has been proven false many times over (Black Panther series, movies like "US", or even Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon which was a box office hit in 2000) but there are still executives who believe this myth and are scared of it.
Her character is meant to have lived in NI for 20 years but has zero accent or dialect
lol alot of police in northern ireland are from the mainland UK, it's a big problem with people who don't trust the PSNI in both communities but I guess it's better than having them be all local loyalists.
Some of the worst ‘police work’ I’ve ever seen. Total lack of control over the situation. Completely ridiculous.
