Been waiting for this so that I can copy it and make my model look like a baby has thrown jam at it. (Thats a comment about my skil rather than your scheme) Thanks!
Very nice Henry. Love the contrast between the body, the gold wings and the glow on the energy. Would love to see more metallic tutorials. Love TMM but with NMM style contrast to it. Especially for a red copper or a reddish rose gold would be awesome. I often struggle with that. It always looks just like any other brass or gold.
@@cultofpaint i've got a nice one with a 0.2 needle, and a crappy one with a 0.4 (that's fine for priming), would it be worth investing the extra to get the 0.4 on the nice one (a second hand infinity)? or can i make do with the 0.2mm?
I am absolutely loving this color scheme. I am using it for my Noctilith Crown, which makes it very easy to translate from model to model. I'm new to airbrushing and don't have much practice mixing paints up for different effects. Is there a place for something like a glaze medium when you refer to using a "very very thinned down despair green?" Love the format and the content of the channel! Thanks for the inspiration to get me up and painting every day for the first time in a long time!
Love this and the 1st part its helping me dip out of basecoating and into actually using my airbrush. One question. The Necron skeleton attached was that painted at all or just left black it looks lik its highlighted in the final look at the model
Well that model is amezing, great work. I loved the first part with the metallics, really learned a lot
That's great to hear. Thanks!
Loved both parts of this tutorial 👍
Thanks Glen, was a fun model to paint in the end!

Cheers Mike. Have a few metallic tutorials in mind for Patreon and here.
Love your work.
I'd like a video on how you determine when and where to use sub assemblies and how to tie them together when you complete asssembly.
On this specific model or in more general terms?
Amazing guys
Cheers Seamus
Brilliant!
thanks!!
you've convinced me to give the airbrush a proper go
A really useful tool to have, especially for army painting.

Great to hear you're enjoying it. 99% of the time we just use water when creating a glaze. I did in this case with the despair green.

Hi Ben, its painted in the same way as the black parts on here ua-cam.com/video/KKD_d9NQ0pc/v-deo.html
Nice one Henry, looks great. Definitely going to look at that green. How did you base the model in the end? Any weathering powders at all?
Hi Jim, thanks very much. Based it using our normal method m.ua-cam.com/video/uPlpBLkUUdA/v-deo.html
@@cultofpaint cheers fellas, have a good weekend
If you didnt mention already I couldnt quite tell what you did for the big tail.. was it a black metal??? also the spear handle?
Lovely work bud just one question, what did you do for the tail? (not the blade bit)
Thanks! Exact same as the black on the necron warrior in this video m.ua-cam.com/video/KKD_d9NQ0pc/v-deo.html
@@cultofpaint thanks bud, looking gooood! I plan to do mine with the colourshifts and then a soft highlight with a steel paint ☺️
Bet that’ll work great!
What airbrush would you recommend for a beginner, a friend has suggested iwata neo
