  • Stage 17 features a 160km hilly route between Aracena and the Monasterio de Tentudía. This looks to be another great day for the puncheurs, and maybe a breakaway, with the stage undulating all day before the climb to the finish (9.3km at 4.9%).

Giro was monumental - Jai Hindley's breaking of Carapaz on the penultimate Stage 20 was an outstanding moment in the history of the sport. Much like Froome's Stage 19 in 2018. The Giro packs so much excitement and dynamism, for me at least.

I would suggest Roglic do some cyclo cross or mountain biking in the off-season to improve his bike handling skills. Hire a Tom Pitcock clone to learn technique. All of his crashes and injuries seem to be self-inflicted. When Primoj is on form, he is tenacious, but over and over he crashes out of a major race while in a position to win.
