Breakaway Battles It Out On Hilltop Finish | Vuelta A España 2022 Stage 17 Highlights
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 вер 2024
- Stage 17 features a 160km hilly route between Aracena and the Monasterio de Tentudía. This looks to be another great day for the puncheurs, and maybe a breakaway, with the stage undulating all day before the climb to the finish (9.3km at 4.9%).

Well deserved for Rigo! He needed this win. Without Primoz, it's all Remco's now.
Roglic fought valiantly to the last. Wishing him a restful offseason and looking forward to his return next year
I miss Primoz. He would have made this day and the rest of the race interesting.
Sad to lose Roglic. What a fighter
It's all about timing...Uran did this perfect!!
Agree Paul, was a great finish and am happy for him that he had this win today.
Great job Rigo. I'm glad he made it into the top ten. I wish he would have won a grand tour.
Going to be honest, kind of lost interest in the race now that Roglic is gone. He was looking good. No one is going to attack let alone beat Remco.
and, furthermore, a last week with no climb over 8% average is deadly boredom
@@sergiodemichele6295 Really? I didn't know that. Man that sucks
Exactly no roglic no interest 😕
the fight now is for third place
Agree 100%
So much hate for Remco. The guy had a close to career ending injury 2 years ago and here he is about to win the Vuelta in his first appearance. Respect!
And leading the classification of the youngsters as well (only 22 yrs) !!
*winning the first grand tour he properly prepared for. He's hated because he's one of the best but not very modest about it I guess, at times, although he's definitely matured a lot recently
Go Rigo Go!! Buena loco!! This commentator makes me want to take a nap!
Very nice to see Uran accomplish this beautiful result.
No more suspense in this race without Primoz
2:57 I know the feeling! More air, more air
After watching today’s stage 17th. I am even more convinced Roglic would have won this race had he not crash on stage 16.
why would u think that?
He crashed yesterday, how much has today’s stage contributed to your statement?
Doesn’t really make a lot of sense.
🤡😁😅😂🤣🤣!!!

Because he had entire races under his control.
@@riquelmeone he had entire races under his control
Go champs go for it, cycling makes life worth living and supporters are pushing pedals next to you guys, very sorry for Roglic, big loving hug, get well soon, it will be the next cycling competition to come, show must go on, now everybody knows how strong must be a rider's ambition, yeah, very strong indeed
Missing Roglic!
Great commentary, it cures insomnia...
Roglic would of took time on Remco today had he not crashed out. Gutted
GO RIGO GO!
Nice ride by Uran. Good for EF.
Makes it even more gratifying that the Tour was so good this year, since the Giro was, and the Vuelta is proving to be, relatively disappointing.
Giro was monumental - Jai Hindley's breaking of Carapaz on the penultimate Stage 20 was an outstanding moment in the history of the sport. Much like Froome's Stage 19 in 2018. The Giro packs so much excitement and dynamism, for me at least.
Wake up! what a low energy commentator, get that man a cup of coffee! 😂
Did anyone expect Roglic not to crash?
Nope.
Primoz really didn’t need to take the risks he took last stage. It’s a shame to see him out of the race.
top commentary,, cool calm and concise, its actually
better in some ways than the race itself,, nothing to
misinterpret , a genuine performance,🚲🐘
PR seems to have so much bad luck with crashes lately - i feel really bad for him, it was set for an epic last week
Last couple years all you hear is Roglic crashing in every event...gotta feel for the dude.
Let's wait if Mas can challenge Remco for the red jersey!🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
He is the best.
Roglic literally can't stay on his bike these past few years. He was once regarded as a great bicycle handler.
Gutted for Rogla. He was just starting to show form, then cut down at the top of his power.
Stoked for Uran, though. A good top ten here will be worth a lot, especially if he can keep climbing up the order.
As tour, the third week is just formality. Even Roglic would has problems to cut that 1:26 of gap. Congratulations for Remco, who really deserves the red jersey. For Roglic, it's very sad because he's a fighter and would fight until the last km
Gg Primos. Bounce back! Lets go Jumbo
The race for bronze is hotter now.
I would suggest Roglic do some cyclo cross or mountain biking in the off-season to improve his bike handling skills. Hire a Tom Pitcock clone to learn technique. All of his crashes and injuries seem to be self-inflicted. When Primoj is on form, he is tenacious, but over and over he crashes out of a major race while in a position to win.
He just has to ask WVA who started off in CX and still races
@@epincion Great point, are they both continuing with Jumbo next season?
@@larrymoore2571 Yes they are
Its seems like a ghost is hunting roglic, he always crashes when he is close to win big things...
Or fncks up a tt, which he's supposedly good at. And not just misses a few seconds but his frickin helmet comes off funny like he's pulled over to sh@g a spectator. Or he crashes into a hay bale. Or at the BACK OF A SPRINT when HE'S RACING FOR GC. OMG!!!!!!
These highlights are narrated by someone who’s as exciting as dust
Lucky remco, roglic was getting stronger and recmo weaker, why he didn't just follow the wheels of the sprinters instead was thinking about bonus points,he would always finish 4 anyway
One word : Greed
Exactly,he had the mountains to do that
Sorry Primoz. Good luck to all still out there.
Sad for Primoz,He would have dig deep to be number one again.
Seems like a fairly boring Vuelta compared to the past. I really hope the two mountain stages are going to shuffle the gc a bit.
It doesn’t seem Evenepoel has ever been challenged by anyone so far. They need to put him through hell all day long and not just in the last 2k.
You did watch the past few days right? Roglic literally attacked Evenepoel day after day even going for gains as little as the one yesterday to crawl back into this race.
@@ForeverDayGreen a few seconds here or there is hardly a challenge, especially from Roglic/ Jumbo Visma.
@@riquelmeone i bet a remco who was cracked just 4 days ago by Roglic would disagree with you there.
@@ForeverDayGreen "cracked"? A cracked cyclist loses his GC 1 position in my world. He hardly cracked given he the high mountains are not his specialty terrain.
Grape do zee all dee liddle chilbren habby an waving. Eading hazelnuds and jogolade bread bore energy.
GNC thanks a bunch
Primoz Roglic, I will miss you a bunch, Remco just keep it up for a few days
Best wishes from Madrid, Spain, they have the best wine, mmmmgood
Best wishes from Spain

🇧🇻🐺🇧🇻🌠🇧🇻🌟🇧🇻💫🇧🇻
Some very sticky bottles today
I didn’t realise that Remco was such a good climber in the high mountains……who would of knew🤷♂️
It’s not been a great vuelta to be honest and now with roglic gone can’t see it improving. Maybe the TDF was just so good this year the other races have seemed poor ?
It is a shame to see Roglic go as the GC is now all but said and done. He does have some bad luck, but you do slightly have to question what he thought he was doing contesting a bunch sprint in the first place.
Hate to see the outcomes of races be based on flats, or crashes, or anything other than riding.
WDYM 😂😂😂
Race over. Boring.
This announcer is too low-key. A little more vocal energy would help these highlight pieces.....
Well Vuelta just got boring in the blink of an eye.
Of course I'm not a pro but I just didn’t understand how Roglic could engage in this sprint. Man, your going for gc and it's not a fraction of time in this sprint which will give the win. Should've stayed away.
Well, congratz to Evenepoel and get well soon to Roglic,
This was a roglic stage
No rogla no party
Fuck no man...I have no interest now that Primoz is gone.
Awwww - poor little Roglic ... It's always nice to see someone else win. So many IGNORANT comments here that people say it's not interesting or they won't watch any more - you are not really cycling fans then - just PATHETHIC SNOWFLAKES
レムコにとっても実に不完全燃焼なブエルタになってしまった。
マイヨ・ロホを着るなら、走り切ったログリッチを倒したかっただろうに…。
A race without TJV is boring to watch, just saying✌️
Shame on primoz
poooor primoz............
I find this commentator to be both boring and annoying. What's with the trailing off into a whisper at the end of his sentences?
The masquerade is still ongoing what a shame kind of ruiningnthe sport
Pushed PAUSE at 0:30 of video. No point in watching any further. Sorry to GCN...and all its sponsorship ad dollars 🤷🏽♂️
Commentary is like listening to someone read a cook book. Boring!
Wonder if the commentator can put in a bit of excitement in his commentary, too monotonous, sounds like he is commenting on a golf tournament???
Awww, Primoz had a boo boo (and no way to overtake Evenapoel) so again he abandons.
Yo man, this ain't golf, so why the golf announcer? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
So a technical problem helps a panicking Evenepoel 4km from the end of Stage 16, whilst Primo buries himself to gain time and ends up losing out big time because his balls are so much bigger than Evenepoels? Vuelta is over for me now.
Logic of a toddler
Boring race boring tour.. without Pogacar and MVDP and Jonas and Cavendish and other big stars this tour is utter BS! The only tour remco is ever gonna win is a tour without the top GC riders 😅
משחק משעמם בלי רוג'ליק..
Another roglic fail
Not a Remco fan at all! Reminds me of a spoilt brat, especially after his selfish antics at World's. Wish Rogla could of smashed him in this final week! 😭
What did he do?
