      this is a year later but I did this to give my hair extreme moisture after being in a weave for 5 weeks. I did everything except the Cherry Lola (just because I didn't have all the ingredients) and my hair looked AMAZING. My curl pattern was super super defined and my twist out came out amazing the next day! Next time I will definitely do the cherry Lola step!!

    Whoa, I'm so excited, because I'm going to do this treatment for an elderly acquaintance of mine one day (and I'm going to do this for me also in October, but I have 3c/4a hair).
    She has dry, strawlike 4c/d hair. She mentioned that she isn't mixed, that's why her hair is like that. I told her that it has nothing to do with being fully black, but it has everything to do with taking care of your hair properly.
    She is also bald on the front. I gave her an all day hair treatment. I also gave her a homemade avocado/carrot oil to grow out her hair rapidly, which she has to use twice per week.
    I've done an all day hair treatment two months ago for a family member who had a slightly bald spot on her head and she also didn't have any edges.
    I gave her an all day hair treatment and I applied the homemade avocado/carrot oil on her entire scalp and massaged her scalp afterwards.
    The next day she installed a weave.
    I also sent her the link of the video that she could make the homemade avocado/carrot oil herself and told her that she needs to apply it every week on her edges.
    1,5 weeks ago I saw her again in the supermarket after two months.....
    *Her edges are now growing back and the bald spot is completely gone.*
    So yes ladies, your hair can come alive if you use the right products 😉😊

      BRAGG has a liquid aminos product. BRAGG is the same company that sells apple cider vinegar with the mother. You should be able to find it at a Walmart. If the grocery store has it, it should be with the vinegars or BBQ sauce isles. Hope this helps.

    My hair is low porosity & I found using the clay mask at the end was a bit drying for my hair. So what i will do different next time is: I would start off with the clay mask; Cherry Lola & Style
    Or deep condition again after doing the clay mask at the end
    I think the clay mask would be equally clarifying as the shampoo

      @NekiCakes  6 років тому +3

      Kila Duff If you have serious breakage a trim is a great way to bring some health back. Also if your hair is breaking that doesn’t necessarily mean your protein sensitive, hair that breaks is usually dry & weak strands. Moisture & elasticity is key. You can definitely try the method it’s anyone, you just have to be careful with knowing what ingredient is suitable for your hair type. I also invite you to watch my video on moisture, it’s on my UA-cam channel

      MsNaturale Michelle my hair hasn’t always been this defined and healthy, it’s like this because I take proper care of my hair. MHM was naturally designed for 4c low porosity, that don’t mean I can’t use it. MHM is to clarify, strengthen, hydrate & lock moisture into the hair... which is necessary for All naturals including myself.

      All black ppl should do this. Just like all black ppl should stop worrying about 3, 4,a ,b, c hair.. that shit is irking. This is what your will become after taking proper care of your hair. More moisture for black hair equals curlier and curlier hair. I swear this is true. I had absolutely no idea I had curly hair until I got older and stopped putting the perms in my hair that my mom got me so used too. And still it was nappy as fuck UNTIL I started taking care of MY hair MY way. Moisturizing like crazy. All black ppl have curly hair and until they stop with that number crap they will never know. I noticed that your clay mask recipe is different than the recipe you listed as an image. Are you adding those things to the original recipe posted? Or is that another recipe altogether?

    • @lifeascassandra5758
      @lifeascassandra5758 4 роки тому

      The image said the cherry lola treatment so that's the recipe for the second step. Then you deep condition for 15 minutes to overnight for the third step. The four step is the clay mask. The fifth step is to put on your leave in and oil you know the LCO method. Never do the LOC method with the MHM it doesn't work it will block all the moisture you just put in your head. And the FINAL step is to add your gel.

    I do clay masks at least once a month, but I deep condition after rinsing out the mask because I find bentonite clay can drying. Would it be okay for me to deep condition after the clay mask or would that screw up the method?

    • @NekiCakes
      @NekiCakes  6 років тому +2

      have you tried to deep condition before with the same drying results? when mixing your clay what do you add to your mix?

    • @wannabe41
      @wannabe41 6 років тому +1

      Neki Cakes Yes, I find that my hair is dryer if I do the clay mask after I deep condition. I mix my clay with ACV, water (sometimes) and hibiscus.

      Katherine Miller I understand it’s definitely important to know everyone’s hair reacts differently, have you ever thought about adding a few moisturizing ingredients like honey, banana or oils? Last question! how often do you clarify your hair?

    • @wannabe41
      @wannabe41 6 років тому +6

      Neki Cakes Yes, I do add grape seed oil and essential oils to my mask. I clarify my hair once a month. Thank you so much for answering my questions!

      I read we are not supposed to allow the clay to dry on our hair, just keep it moist through out from root to tip. That helps also.

    Someone help please 😩 I tried the cherry lola on my daughters hair and it left like a white gritty residue. I washed her hair with a clarifying shampoo first. Someone please tell me what I did wrong 😩

      @Laporche Elder
      Can you be more specific? Did you blend it well (I have a Vitamixx blender so have to worry about over blending things). Which mask did you use? High or low? How long did you leave on the mask? What kind of clarifying shampoo? Did you use shampoo, prepoo or a rinse cleanse or little cleansing milk? Cleansing milk by Camille Rose for instance is good only for a quickie.
      Not all the time use. Once you moisturize with something like that. That’s it so all you would be doing is wasting extra conditioner down the drain (the hair cuticle won’t open up anymore).
      Just use a really good one that will open up your cuticle using a hood dryer is also helpful. This is something that I just discovered!!

    I just did the 1st treatment without the liquid aminos (that I cannot find in Canada neither). I don't really like it. I have tone of residues. Hopefully, by the end of the process, the residues will be gone. But that left me wondering. Is 1st step of the treatment moleculary small enough to penetrate the hair shaft? I mean it is useless to clarify before and to keep the 1st treatment on your hair for so long to only have it coats the hair the shaft. Would that coat still allows penetration and effectiveness from the clay treatment?

    • @NekiCakes

      If your hair is low you can use the low porosity recipe, the high porosity recipe has more protein and is more acidic to close the hair cuticles.

    Hey Neki Cakes, great video! Got a quick question about the Cherry Lola recipe you posted: is the banana doing a different job than the plantain or, can I replace one with the other?

    • @NekiCakes
      @NekiCakes  6 років тому +1

      Adwoa Benefaa Ofori thé plantain is said to make the mix thicker and of course add vitamins specially vitamin c and to help with growth. If you don’t have one it’s fine, but it’s a great ingredient to have.
