- Check out my new clip on the KTM 390 Adventure fitted with the 14 tooth front sprocket. On this clip i do 3rd/4th and 5th gear pulls to 100 kph or 60 mph and see how it performs the task.
Not out chasing the top speed of the bike just wondering how it performs with this very cheap and easy to fit mod.
Hey I kno its not in the owners manual but, u can reset that service light by open the main menu scroll down to settings (dont open setting), while hovering over it hold the up and down keys at the same time that will open the service interval menu and u can adjust the interval to what ever u want by pressing the select button
thanks -good info for next time. bike is in for the service now or I would try iy
Thanks for the shout out Warro! You sir are a champion! Thanks for doing that! I wouldn’t know who would do a 50-100km/h run in top gear also!🤦♂️ Thanks for showing what the RPM is in top gear & id say it would only knock off 500 revs with the 15T anyway & you wouldn’t have that initial burst of acceleration! So, kudos to you for showing us this.🙏 This KTM is impressing me more everyday that you post videos of it! So, to stop me from buying one...😎 start riding the Kawasaki more!😂😂 & post them instead! Cheers Warro again!🇦🇺
yeah the Kawasaki is really a pretty good little bike. still only has 70 miles on the clock. I will have to get out and give it a good long run
Great pickup difference with 14t but this also changes the actual speed so would be good to know what its really doing now actual speed when speedo reads 100km/hr , same as when you change rear sprockets , did you use a GPS in any of your tests before and after to see if even factory sprockets are doing actual shown speed 👍
Cheers and keep up the great video's
i'd say it would be about as quick as a royal enfield 650 interceptor up to say 150 kph. it would bowl over a stock 390adv very easy
The actual speed is measured from the sensor in front wheel with vehicles having abs.
@@nabeelnasar7935 ok thanks for this 👌
Enjoying the 390 adv videos Warro, just picked one up last week, great bike! Looking forward to more vids.
yep! I had a bit of fun today. ready to take it in tomorrow for that first service. better late than never
Tempted to get one but undecided
coin toss between it and a 500x
@@ridewithwarro exactly!
Great test. Thank s mate. Cheers. John
thanks john-was an interesting day
Yep, I reckon you’re right mate; a quickshifter on that would be like putting mudflaps on a tortoise.....a cure lookin’ for a problem! That 14t certainly seems to earn its keep. That ktm always was keen but now it behaves like a fat wench in a cake shop. Great results for such a small cost, eh chap?! That 4th gear seems like a proper riot now. You’ll be turning hooligan, now bloke, no more pipe-and-slippers cllassic500 stuff for you now😄. You’ve got 3 perfect bikes now chap....love ‘em all. With your track record of buying/selling, how are you going to part with any of these, mate? Great footage, thanks chap. Keep smilin......
I think 4th gear is the key. on my next clip I give it a run up through the sealed section to the dirt. then run it along the dirt and one area sitting on roughly 55 mph. not for long but it was there. plus a few fast corners too. overall not a bad day on the bike and while on the backroads...not a car
I think that was me 🤗👍welcome
lol
How does it do low and slow 1-3 gear in dirt?
A much big improvement with the 14t over the stock 15t In the lower 3 gears on dirt or hill climb. I have a 47t rear on order so when that arrives I will be testing that option too
Ride with Warro that will be interesting to see. I saw a comment from a guy in India who was asked about 14/47 and he said it would be too much for the engine, but he didn’t actually change rear sprocket , so not sure what he was meaning. I know you had said the speedometer was fine, does the bike auto calibrate the speedometer with the front sprocket change? I am not familiar enough with KTM to know what method it uses to calculate speed, I am used to having to use a recalibration thingy to correct speedo after sprocket change on other brands.
@@CallsItLikeISeizeIts check his channel again. He had posted a video with 14/47 combo.
@@CallsItLikeISeizeIts no need to calibrate , speedo takes data from front wheel ,it shows according to the rotation of front wheel not from counter shaft
@@sortstroke9632 oh ok thanks for this as someone else said it takes the reading from output shaft in the gearbox not from the front like old school bikes 👍 I will have to look into this a bit more
