LOL! This is the funniest thing ever.. I went up those steps at the end xD I was there Yes, I did the same thing as Will... dance... then faint. When I saw this the first time, my Mom, Aunt, and I were crying from laughing so hard... We were cracking up so badly we couldn't stop xD
@Matty09Magic What? You can't take a joke? I'm sure British comedy pokes fun at the US all the time but, despite being an American, I have no problem with that.
I love that they use a SteadiCam as Will's running up the steps, making it a complete homage to that famous Rocky scene, since that was the first real example of what a SteadiCam is supposed to do.
@Matty09Magic You know what it might be? A LOT of good American comedy is extremely understated. I think a lot of people can get the wrong impression watching some of it. A really classic example of this would be the 2006 Correspondent's dinner. Stephen Colbert was foolishly invited to speak (I think) because his deadpan delivery made it somewhat difficult to tell if he was seriously conservative. So, perhaps the offensive material which you've seen was just highly understated satire.
@Matty09Magic Oh, don't worry about it all, man. Here's the thing though, I don't think American comedy takes quite as many digs at Britain as you might think.
If I remeber it correctly, Will even said "that's the guy in the opening sequence" and that's quite funny because in university we just learned that that is called a intermedial reference...
'Huh? Omar? Oh yeah, that guy who always spins me around his head in the opening sequence.'
Anywhere I can find the line
p247 opening credits
Hi I guess I just like cats just put it on UA-cam dude
