- Tony Stewart has not only been racing for over 40 years now but also winning championships since 1980. He is driven in so many different types of cars and racing series it would be just as easy to write a novel than to list them all.
He is most know of course for winning 3 Nascar Cup championships and an INDYCAR series tittle. Tony’s passion for racing has also transitioned over to collecting and when it comes to helmet collecting, Tony has one of the biggest collections in the world.
When you have over 350 helmets and need them all documenting to find out the history, races they competed in, value of each piece of history and the stamp of authenticity on each piece, Tony made just one phone call. That call was kindly made to his good friend, fellow collector and our very own memorabilia expert Darren L. Jack.
Recently Darren and his Hall of Fame Collection team headed to Indiana to do the job. Three full days and one all nighter later with the help of Fat Heads Eye ware who jumped in to help, each helmet has been photographed and authenticated. The helmets were now ready to go back into the very clean custom made cabinets in Tony’s home. Here’s a few highlights from the visit in part one of our visit to the Tony Stewart Helmet Collection.

At 10:56 on the right side of the screen, you can actually see the two Johnson helmets have a Petty helmet on the left & a Dale Sr helmet on the right.
Pretty neat to have at least two cubbies dedicated to the 3 Kings of the sport.

Do you have an Ayrton Senna helmet? I have a lil helmet I raced at Dorsey speedway now gone in Maryland. My roots Tony I was a poor boy with talent since my first kart. I really wish I got to get real racing SCCA yes I love to race 1/4’s dirt road racing my life and dream that blew the wind over me.

He has or is going to buy all or part of my cousin Ron Burtons helmet collection. That is not really collecting in my book. Ron delivered Dale a painting that is hanging over Juniors fireplace of them of the Talledega highbanks 2 days before he died. . The helmet Dale gave Ron was the one he won his last Nascar race in ever. Ron charged Dale $5000 and a helmet and he charged Tony $10,000 and a helmet to do a painting to give to Joe Gibbs...LOL.

@@BS84FV Case was closed. I’ve been involved in sprint car racing over two decades, privately all the drivers I’ve ask said it was an accident 100%. If you want to run in front of a sprint car while high, you face the risks. Ward had also been kicked out of multiple tracks due to his temper. Get a clue jerkoff.
