      +Shannon Green I'm baaack! I was going through my Pinterest and rediscovered this video. It's been too long since I've made these fun flowers. So I promptly went out to my craft studio, grabbed my deli paper and container of pens and I'm now sitting on my bed getting ready to dive in. There's something about this video that comforts me. You're so calm and meandering throughout the entire process. Thanks again for sharing this craft that's brought me such joy.

    Good job, Girl. Love your flowers. I am sitting here in my recliner with my headphones on while HeHimself is watching baseball with my hands and feet dancing to your music. After 46 yrs of marriage, this silliness does not even rate a second look from him. He does know that Shannon is the funny lady from Texas, though. Hugs, Gloria

      I hate cutting out flowers where you have to trim around each individual petal. Blech, ptooey! There's another version that I've seen before where you fold the square into a triangle and go from there. I never could get that one to turn out right...always got one petal bigger than the rest! This one comes out right every time.

    I love this! You've already got me making paper beads, now it looks like I need to make deli flowers. I have a ton of gelli prints on deli paper that would be perfect for this. And thank you for sharing about melting pony beads. I have a ton that I inherited from my husband's first wife (she died) that I wondered what I would do with them. Now I know! I even have a toaster oven I use for polymer clay so I can bake these outside.

  • @LittleWillie1000

    Yeah...I bought a toaster oven for plastic melting at the thrift store...and use it outside....in the winter cuz phoenix is hot in the summer.

    • @ShannonGreen
      @ShannonGreen  10 років тому

      After killing several toasters we switched to a toaster oven, which I love, but we've had it for years and I'm sort of tired of looking at it. I'm considering replacing it with a newer model and using the old one as my craft oven. I'm sure my family would appreciate me not heating toxic craft supplies in our regular oven anymore!

    • @ShannonGreen

      A Adams It's not freezer wrap, it's not waxed paper, it's not parchment paper. It's a totally different thing. It's usually called deli paper, deli wrap, dry waxed paper, or bakery paper.

    I'm afraid to melt the pony beads inside. I have enough health issues without breathing in the fumes from the plastic. Was your doggie okay with it? I am afraid for my kitty. I love how they turned out though, and those enamel dots are so darn expensive. Hmmmm.... Will have to come up with something. I am in an apartment so even if I could find another toaster oven, no where to hook it up outside to cook em. . . Any ideas oh crafty one? :-)
