Is it me or does everyone see how gorgeous she is. Her personality and humbleness make her even more gorgeous. And when she smiles it makes her glow. All around a great person and the epitome of what a true champion is.
She's already faced a world champion in bjj and a national wrestling champion. If people are still doubting her her ability to defend the takedown people are seriously grasping at straws at this point.

There's talks and rumors of Vanzant getting the next Title shot. IMO Paige has a 0.000% chance to beat Joanna. If that fight does happen, and if Vegas actually takes bets on it. I'm going to empty my accounts and sale everything of value I own and bet on Joanna. Free money. Only chance Paige has is if Joanna breaks her leg like Anderson did. Or if Joanna has her family held hostage and forced to lose. I'll take those odds and bet on Joanna. Free money is always great.

Im a JJ fan but I think a lot of UFC fans are getting too carried away with her. She won a very close split decision vs Gadehla the fight before her title fight. I could def see Gadehla beating her and there are still some question marks about her jiu jitsu.
Alessandro Scuderi I think Joanna has a higher ceiling than Gadelha.
Alessandro Scuderi that was not really close, I was rooting for Gadehla but she obviously had no chance, desperation takedowns were her only weapon.
Alessandro Scuderi Gadelha did NOTHING with her position, got dropped with an uppercut and stalled most of the fight, and then put a cherry on the whole thing by blatantly hitting her after the bell. Even being ridiculously heavy for SW and having legit grappling chops, she spent most of the fight hugging JJ so she wouldn’t get punched more. Joanna definitely deserved the win (and I'm glad the judges have started seemingly obeying the 'unified rules' about top position in cases like that a little less), and I think she has only gotten better at defending TDs since then. I think that if they fought again, Claudia would get finished.
I get that fans get overly excited when a fighter gets awesome finishes, but I think it's justified in this case. Joanna is so far ahead of everyone as a striker that she looks less like a fighter and more like an abusive mother beating her children.
Good fight that was, but Joanna showed that she can hang with a black belt on the ground. Her takedown defense is nearly A1, her hands are obviously vicious. This girls a straight savage and she's sent a message to the division. The SW division is stacked with talent tho, lots of hungry girls, Joanna's got a target on her back
Nicholas Loiodice The TUF girls are transparently very salty about Joanna being the champion. They had been led to believe that TUF had the top of the division, and now Joanna has demolished Carla and Penne, and Moroz waltzed in and put Calderwood away. Remember how Rose was being called the divisions 'Ronda Rousey' before she lost to Carla?
Those TUF girls are PISSED.
