Such a great spot!!! It's crazy the number of people that live around Lake Hartwell and have no idea about the waterfall!

@@WaterPins There's a house right above the waterfall. I've heard that they've been trying really hard to not let it become a crowded tourist spot which is why I think not many people know about it. They claim it's on private property. I've seen facebook posts get taken down and I've also seen the google maps marker showing where it is get taken down a few times too.

@@Laker-c4k we definitely don't recommend trying to go up when the water level is below 659.0, per the video

You already can’t enjoy this spot anymore before people started putting it on UA-cam now you have absolutely turned the spot inside out. Just to help you understand about how I’m completely not exaggerating at all. There are beer cans floating at this waterfall. Every time I go throughout the summer because I live on this lake. There is private property with Airbnb right up the hill that people get angry when groups of people are at the bottom of the hill where they’re renting their Airbnb…. So always issues with that… and two summers ago I was with my girlfriend, mother and sister, we were sitting on the water eating sandwiches that we brought and I double take because I see a syringe floating in the water while we were sitting there eating our lunch. I grabbed two sticks got it out of the water, but just felt disgusted after that because the people that are visiting this place completely trash it we never see any teenage partying kids, it’s always the 40-year-olds pulling up with two families on their pontoon boats that do crap like this. Not only is this a waterfall. This is a historical area because of the Chauga River mound, and there is an old mill there that has been continuously destroyed over the years by people coming back there and their boats and kayaks and I feel like it should be a protected area. They have the seven waterfalls 9n lake JocasseeHartwell literally has nothing except for this. Why would you announce it to the entire world on UA-cam?

The internet ruins everything, idky people feel the need to show everyone to come and exploit these places…
