As an Indian, i will say Kohli is yet to reach the level of Sangakkara. If Kohli can play consistently for another 4-5 years, May be yes. But right now, Kohli has not reached that level of Sanga.

Imagine if Sanga was as naturally talented with the bat as Mahela..... All his hard work and dedication combined with immense talent of Mahela would have been unstoppable in every format of the game.
Actually, Mahela is poor in SENA countries. He is an average batsman in both Test and ODI. Just like Dilshan and Jayasuriya. Kumar Sangakara is better than all of them.
@@sijanbhandari779 sangakkara himself has said that Mahela is the more naturally talented batsman. He hardly ever goes to the nets to practice.
@@nirmalsuki Even with that it doesn't change the fact that he is an average batsman. He had just scored tons of runs cuz he had played tons of matches. But never in the same league as Kumar Sangakara.
@@sijanbhandari779 Sangakkara is probably the greatest test batsman ever considering his average without keeping is around 70 with over 8000 runs. Even when you combine them it's still 57. But Mahela is not an average batsman if you have average of 50 and over 10000 runs in test that mean you are elite batsman.

I would say best wicketkeeper batsman because as far as wicketkeeping is concerned, Rashid Latif was a better keeper than sanga and can be considered the best, along with prasanna Jayawardene, kaluwitharana, boucher, Gilchrist etc. Sangakkara is more of a batsman than a keeper because towards the end of his career, he gave up wicketkeeping, at least in tests

I have seen Navjot siddhu, Sachin, Azhar, kambli ,sewagh Lakshman, saurab played well against Both Murlidharan & Shane warne ( in one-day as well as in test match).
But players like Yubraj Singh, MD Kaif, struggle /no clue against Murlidharan but Yubi and Kaif very good against Shane warne.
