@PainAndDisdain I have switched to using picaridin now since every commercial deet sprays out in the market all have some sort of fragrance chemicals that I am looking to avoid. Picaridin sprays can be made without the addition of fragrance chemicals and I like that more. I don't need my insect repellants to smell good. I just need it to work and picaridin sprays seems to meet my requirement. As for toxicity, I bet it's even less toxic than deet while being just as effective as deet. I'm sold on picaridin sprays now.
@PainAndDisdain I'm sold on picaridin now. All the deet sprays have added fragrance chemicals which I don't like. I want a fragrance free bug repellant and picaridin sprays fit that requirement for me while still being safe to spray on skin.
@PainAndDisdain I'm now using picaridin instead since they don't include that "smell good" chemical that deet manufacturers would put into all their deet sprays.
Who knows? Their DEET bottle is some generic unbranded DEET. But I know lots of people still swear by DEET while others say it doesn't work against all types of mosquitos. Either way, I will be giving both a try.
I would choose deet because it works incredibly and I’ve never had it ruin my gear
Good for you. I'm sticking to picaridin sprays.
@@BrilloHead appreciate that
I had a bottle of deet spill in my truckbed and it melted through my bedliner…
@@FishandShipsOfficial Lol, perhaps you should consider using picaridin next time and you would not be having that problem.
@@BrilloHead ranger ready is now heavily stocked in my household
They work!
Deets stopped some of the worst backhole swamp fishing holes i had to trek into

Deleting comments crazy
I'm not surprised. UA-cam has been censoring some of my comments.
Deet makes them not even wanna come on you
If it works better than picaridin, I will gladly use it. I heard it's quite safe to use on skin.
@@BrilloHead Deet can cause cancer, so if you don't mind that, go with deet.
