Most women are staunch supporters of the phrase "believe all women", and for a good reason: So many women are assaulted and their abusers never face the consequences they deserve. However, when people like Eleanor Williams take advantage of this movement, her actions deeply impact the lives of all victims. Did she really lie about being brutally attacked, or should we believe what Eleanor has to say too?
What are your thoughts on this awful case? Let's discuss in the comments.
Thank you guys for watching, hope to see you next time!

I spent 7months in the lock up over false accusations 19 years ago. She lied to her friends about a sexual encounter we had after her friends found out I was black. The sucky part is that she confided in a friend of mine that she liked me. But she was telling her friends how she’s “didn’t want to do it.” So they pressured her to tell the police she was sexually assaulted. They have to take her seriously. I caught a break when most of her friends who left town for college military etc. and she finally told the truth. Especially after she came back to my apartment on a few occasions after the fact. All she had to say was let’s just be friends, I don’t think this is going to work or I’m not interested. I have been damaged ever since and I trust absolutely no one. It’s hard to keep a steady relationship. However I still think we should believe women and protect the real victims out there.

I read some quotes from her in a news article and basically her only apology is saying she shouldn't have posted things on Facebook about it because of all the outrage and tension in the community. She says she didn't think it would go that far but it's not her fault. What the hell did she think would happen pushing SA allegations over and over..she's absolutely in her own world where nothing she does is wrong. It's like anytime she was afraid she'd get in trouble for partying she'd call it SA. She liked the attention so started making accusations so everyone would focus on her. It really didn't take them that long to figure out that she was lying. They had to compile enough evidence against her to make it very clear that nothing was true. And, because the investigation was ongoing, they couldn't make what they were uncovering public. Some men had rock solid alibies and were released. The poor guy who spent so long in jail was unlucky enough to not have such proof of innocence. They had to gather enough evidence to show a pattern of deception and false accusations in order to free him. That is why believing all women, without knowing every fact, is dangerous. The public believed her, without knowing what the police knew, and harassed innocent men.

People who are beaten defensively turn away from their attacker and almost always have wounds on their back.

One of the reasons she targeted Asian businessmen and also some of the places she named was to further validate her stories. The UK has sadly seen some very notorious child grooming cases. Underage girls were labelled as "prostitutes" by the police and social services and were failed terribly. The areas include Blackpool, Rochdale and Rotherham and the perpetrators were Asian men. Since these horrible cases the pressure has been on authorities to make sure such failings never happen again. Such accusations would inevitably triggered a robust inquiry. I don't think here sentence is long enough considering the lifelong damage she has caused the men involved and real victims.

Tbf, men would lie about women lying even if no woman ever did make false accusations. Now they use these rare accounts to discredit all women even though women are more than 100x more likely to be raped than a man is likely to be falsely accused. It doesn't help that lots of statistics count "unfounded" rape accusations as "false accusations" even though it just means they couldn't prove it, not that it didn't happen. Cases where it's 100% proven false are almost unheard of, rarely ever happening.

Tell me you’re not lying to me right now, and she just kind of stuttered and I told her I never wanted to speak to her again because at that point, I had been sexually assaulted as a kid and I could not stand the fact that she would lie about that because that ruins things for true real victims and it also ruins peoples lives who haven’t done anything wrong. We know not all women lie about assault.
We don't know which women are lying about assault, so
We are cautious and believe all women.
This is more than just the benefit of the doubt, it's about trust in our society. If we don't believe even one woman, there's someone out there who heard and knows about it and then determines that she's not going to report it because she doesn't want to be further traumatized
Yes, weI often use the argument for men saying not all men, but in this case it is not all girls. I always try articulate the true meaning of this using this mantra; yes, we know that it is not all men. We know that it is only some men, but we don't know which men and so we are cautious.
The same goes for these women. There are always bad apples and she was one of them. These men's lives were destroyed entirely and that is absolutely objectionable and she deserves to be seen as what she really is, a liar. A criminal. A fraud. A dangerous person. A shameful reminder that there are despicable people in our midst

I think a massive public apology should have been a part of her sentencing. So many people almost took their own lives because of her lies and she’s going to refuse to recant her lies because she’s embarrassed? Which is absolutely why she refuses. If any one of those victims had been successful in their own deaths, she’d be a murderer by proxy…. Which should be illegal.

I'm British, and if you look into the Rochdale case just a little while before this happened, I think you'll find your answer as to why she chose the Asian community for her claims.
Anti Asian racism was rife at the time in England.
I also think it probably explains why the police were so happy to believe her claims without any real investigation.

Yah the right and the media go after Asian folks in the UK to create divisions, last year you had a grooming gang jailed in Wolverhampton and one in Glasgow, all 16 jailed were white folks. But according to the media it's just an Asian gang thing. Lol

I wouldn't say it anti Asian racism was rife, as it was only a few years ago... but the grooming gangs were finally getting taken to court so it would be easy to believe that more were in operation. Also - Rochdale, Oldham, Bradford etc are local to where she is (for the people not from the UK)

I don't know if it's mandatory, but why wasn't she given an examination by a qualified medic whilst in hospital? If that had happened after her first allegation, so many people wouldn't have been terrorized & threatened. She really needed to be institutionalised in a mental facility, & for a lot more than 8 years. As it stands, she'll continue to cry wolf when she's released & that could have serious implications for the previous innocent "alleged" rapists / traffickers. And no doubt she'll try to implicate new people, Leopards, spots.

This story was infuriating. That said, my sister and I experienced similar abuse, and my sister is a compulsive liar who accuses men of DV and she abused children, including her own. She's an alcoholic and a down right foul human being. We're night and day. Idk what makes one person want to heal themselves and be helpful, and another perpetuate abuse.

Hi Rachel, I love your new intro it’s really cool.
Do you think she may of been abused by a family member but no-one believed her so she tried to blame the young man at the party, then after enjoying the attention she started getting decided to take it further by fabricating all the wild stories she then told the detective. Where was she getting the money from to do this travelling by train and hotel stays
A lot of people have high pain tolerances but she must off drank straight vodka or something to numb the pain she was causing herself which is why she was always intoxicated when found. She defo needs mental health assessment before being released. I do think once she is out of prison it will not be long before she has other accusations against someone for one reason or another. Have to keep tabs on this one I think.
Another great video, thank you. X❤

I know its dangerous to get out from under pimps or w.e else they are called. But unless she had some crazy blackmail or information to get them life in prison i do not see her or any sibgle girl being important enough to risk go after and assualting someone who's under police watch getting help. Did she have a starve for attention and people worrying for her? But what or where was this rooted to begin with? Was she as a kid not believed when she had been assuakted and now just addicted to being believed ?? Or did she steal a story of someone else seeing how much people wanted to help or care for another person?? Something i feel im missing or isnt known... bizarre

Otherwise she could have done the same crime 50 times and gotten the same sentence as doing it once. Yes, she is obviously mentally ill but she is also being seriously enabled by her family. They can support her without supporting her lies.
