Yes !, I’ve been waiting for you to try a Konosuke for a long time. I’ve never even seen one in person. The ones with the light coloured buffalo horn ferrules are especially pretty. The notched step in the steel in front of the ferrule is supposed to be there and is a “Tokyo style” I am told.
Well, I'm glad you liked it. And honestly, the thing was absolutely amazing. Hopefully you'll get one one day. Unfortunately, I sold mine to someone who really treasured it.
what do you think of the sakai kikumori kikuzuki kasumi? I heard that the blacksmith and sharpener that made that are the same team that produced your blade. I have one in white 2 270mm and it's just indescribable how different it cuts and feels from my other knives. Your knife looks like a dream!
hey thanks for the reply! I wasn't 100% sure if it was true but I saw someone mention it on the kitchen knife forums in a thread. The retailers didn't disclose the sharpener for the kasumi line @@hello.itsme.5635
I mean, everything they make is ridiculous. I'm not sure about what you heard. As a company, they aren't of the highest level. I would take anything they make.
Yes thank you! I am looking forward to the arrival of a 240mm Gyuto from Tanaka San, which I bought form Zahocho Knives in Tokyo. It's from the Yoshihiro brand with hand engraved kanji. It should arrive on Wednesday.@@nadm
Just won a 210mm White #1 Gyuto raffle. Very excited.

It really is. I can definitely see you at all. The fuss is about. I hope you’re doing well and I hope you’re having fun with your channel.

That's a beauty!
I have a Konosuke Sakura Sujihiki that I absolutely love.
It has a nice Rosewood D shaped handle. It came with the Saya.
Mine came with the saya as well. Congratulations.
Konosuke Fujiyama is a blast!

240 Gyuto of that line is my dayly driver. Where did you hear that? I think the smith would be Tanaka and the sharpener should be Myosin?

Good for you Greg. I had that knife and regret selling it.
I sold it to. I do regret it, but the guy was very passionate because his sous chef broke his so I helped him out.
I’d like to have that knife!
Sorry my friend
Congrats Greg, you got your gem!
Then, you have a true treasure! Enjoy!

Congratulation Greg!
I hope you're doing well, my friend.
