One thing ppl need to remember is that an electric guitar is hardly played in isolation in the real world. The tone is always how it sits in the mix.. it might sound awful in isolation but its how it sits in the mix that earns it that x factor. This video is a great example of this. Also a lot has to do with the fingers itself. Trust me guys... the bottleneck is hardly the instrument.. 9 times outta 10 its us.
I've been thinking very seriously about picking up an ME-80 for my single gig. I've wondered how it would sound direct to my QSC PA. I've read about using a dummy plug in the headphone out to activate the built in Sims. Did do the same for this recording? Great job on this demo btw, it's what I've been looking for ;)
That was awesome Jack, 'loved it. So tasty in note choice and feel, just finger lickin' wonderful. And the tones you dialed on surprised this long time tube guy ~
Peace and Greetings. Some people say good words and some people say bad words about these multi effects. But actually it all depends on the musician. Pretty much all effects are good if you can use them well. Thank you Jack! You are awesome.
Sweet! I've been looking into getting one of these and your name popped up while looking for more sound examples (and you're using one in a video). Win. That particular tone and tones like it are what I'll be trying to create, so... Cool video.
Hey!, Do you have any tips as of how should i clean off the inside of this unit? Is it nasty to open it up? Im jot good with electronics and i don't wanna mess anything up but I think my unit has started to make a bit if extra noise even worh the cleanest tones and stuff so I wanna clean the dust trapped inside, thanks in advance.
i de COSM DRIVE AMP in my ME-80, is the only amp i use. But i cannot reproduce that sound in my GT-100. i cannot find the same grain, the same low end, the same mids. Any clue?, any help?
I'll be recording electric violin. Do I need any sort of acoustic treatment with these? From what I can tell, i just connect my violin to this, plug it into my computer with a DAW, and record. Is that really it??
Hey guys this was a great demo of this new product;but if any one has this new unit;and has any more demos to share like this one;it would certainly be appreciated? Thanks-Good going Jack and guys from Boss-Roland Corp.
Very nice playing and tones - and yes - the backing track 'kick in' was really cool. Your demonstration shows how sensitive the slightest adjustments can be too - which folks need to see. I'm a long time fan of the ME series multiFx stuff and have played live with the ME-70 via my tube amps for years - the sounds are so close to analog that all my old pedals have gradually found new homes. However, my ME-70 is not nearly as pristine for direct recording as the ME-80 sample I'm hearing in this video - or at least not mine. I have long suspected (???) that my unit has an issue with the "headphone/recording out" section because even with headphones it sounds like crap too - but sounds total right into any of my amps so I've never really been all that concerned. Thanks for the demo!
Try using the USB out with the ME-80 drivers from Boss's website installed on whatever PC or MAC you're using. Then just set the input in your DAW on the ME-80 and you're good to go. Cheers!
I will buy this stuff, with all the me reviews, the last one I'm looking for to play is you jack, after I saw this video, I'm convince to buy this. Thanks jack 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
+Steve Berg lol that's true. But I'm talking about the feedback and noises when I plug mine to my laptop. It sounds great when plugged to my amp though.
Can anyone help me out? When I record directly from the pedal the sound is completely different to how it sounds through my amp. I tried it with all the amp effects set completely neutral, no EQ, no extra gain, nothing and it still sounds completely different when I record
It seems normal to me: Any amp ads character to the sound. Also the Speaker Simulator is off perhaps? Its only on when the phones are connected but applies also to the Line Outs. Hope that helps.
I'm curious - did you record this usb direct? Did you use headphones to monitor? I only mention because I noticed you have the master volume cranked to max. I'm wondering if you actually ran the headphones out through a mixer for the cab sims and didn't monitor directly on the unit?
I'm wondering the same thing but not holding my breath waiting for a response. He's has seven years to reply . . . . My band is close to adopting in-ear monitors, and I'm considering the ME-80 straight to PA for easier setup/teardown. Tones seem to hold their own in the hands of a good guitarist.
I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get some good quality sound (its like the guitar keeps "screaming" at me) any tips how to get rid of it or even tips on setting up effects in general?
Where is the screaming coming from? Is it coming from the speaker cab? If it's coming through the cab;you have to single out the source first. Was it doing it before you plugged in the unit? And you followed the connectivity instructions correctly? Not trying to insult ya in any way. But this can cause some really weird things to come out of your speaker cab? If you are 100 percent sure that you have it connected right;then we can only assume just a couple of more things. Gain is turned up too high somewhere in the signal chain. And the pick-ups are quality pick-ups right? If you checked off all these things and you are still getting the sound. either something is bad in the unit itself;or you are using too much gain into your set-up;and you need a noise reduction unit. Is your amp a solid state amp;or all valve amp? Just wondering about that? Thanks.
watch some other pros set-up this unit;that too could help you out in singling out your issue,,,Like Glenn Dulanne i think is how he spells his name? That guy is good man at figuring these things out. Take care.

Peace and Greetings. Some people say good words and some people say bad words about these multi effects. But actually it all depends on the musician. Pretty much all effects are good if you can use them well. Thank you Jack! You are awesome.
Is there any particular reason you adjust the EQ in the preamp section as well as in the EQ/FX2 section ?
Nice demo very satisfying thanks
Beautiful Jack. 😮
When that backing comes in........ oh la la

Hi, isit possible to get the backing track to this piece? Could you send it to me? The link from Roland does not work. Thanks. Robert
เยี่ยมไปเลยครับ.
Someone needs to make a demo with some Stryper tones;that would be great?! Thanks.
...เป็นเพราะหัวใจผมอ่อนไหวไปเอง ...หรือเดโมเพลงนี้ 1:41 ทำให้หัวใจอบอุ่นได้จริงๆ
WHAT A COOL SOUND OF THIS PEDAL
Jack, just unreal, pretty please share that patch :)
mjones53 you can zoom and nearly see the configuration. Else try out downloading the patches from BTC JT001 is the patch. Or rather JT series.

Hey guys this was a great demo of this new product;but if any one has this new unit;and has any more demos to share like this one;it would certainly be appreciated? Thanks-Good going Jack and guys from Boss-Roland Corp.

Wow: what a feeling !! \m/

Awesome sound..we need more songs with a little more grit in distortion. Thanks for the demo.
i just want to ask what is your settings in your real amp if you have a pre amp? thanks
Wow classy as awlays

Hello Jack! What sound the best GT100 or this new ME 80 ?
I could be wrong, but I believe at the software level, they use the same COSM engine creating the tones.
A Tone Andy Timmons would be proud of!! Great job!
How do did you record the video for this and sync it with the audio recording from the boss?
Kya baat hai Ustaad😉👍
is the pre-amp something you would only use for direct recording? would you just not mess with it at all during a live gig with an amp?
Demo start 1:43
PLEASE MAKE A BASS VERSION!!!! I will buy it the DAY it comes out!!
Sublime player.
I will buy this stuff, with all the me reviews, the last one I'm looking for to play is you jack, after I saw this video, I'm convince to buy this. Thanks jack 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How come yours sounds so great and clean without any noise when mine doesn't? :/ is it the NS settings? Is it just my guitar?
its jack thammarat's skills bro :)
+Steve Berg lol that's true. But I'm talking about the feedback and noises when I plug mine to my laptop. It sounds great when plugged to my amp though.
I get massive noise when plugged into the usb to computer too. Even with humbucker guitar.
Plug something in the headphone port, you'll notice the tonal difference as it turns on the built-in speaker simulation.
bit late in the party but its to do with the way he records it. He uses Palmer Speaker Simulator which makes all the difference
Can anyone help me out? When I record directly from the pedal the sound is completely different to how it sounds through my amp. I tried it with all the amp effects set completely neutral, no EQ, no extra gain, nothing and it still sounds completely different when I record

I record using the amp output, should I switch to one of the other outputs?
May I know whats the name of your pick up is so warm.
I'm curious - did you record this usb direct? Did you use headphones to monitor? I only mention because I noticed you have the master volume cranked to max. I'm wondering if you actually ran the headphones out through a mixer for the cab sims and didn't monitor directly on the unit?

Amazing. .
Very nice
ตอบสนองได้ตามต้องการจิงๆคับ น่าใช้ แจ๋วเลย

oh and try a demo with a H-S-Single coil pick-up configed guitar for more veritile sounds for us please? Thanks-great demo song.
Dude I need this backing track
hey! is there anyway i can get the backing track?
Hey, can you tell me what song are you using?
Fantastic tone and playing
is that out the rec/headphone out?
Awesome. What software did you use to record this?
amazing :)
Nice demo! What kind of Fender is that and pickups? I'm using a Fender Bullet Strat and I'm looking to change pickups. Your model sounds great.
I don,t think so he used fender guitar. I think it is Yamaha Pacifica with jack Tammarat signature.
Som fantástico
Este sera mi nuevo juguetito compas.
ผมก็ชอบใช้ภาคปรีแอมป์เป็นเสียงแตก ส่วนภาคดิสแทบไม่แตะเลย อิอิ ซาวด์อ.แจ๊คซาวด์ดีมากๆครับ
Nice music man do you have a web site?
I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get some good quality sound (its like the guitar keeps "screaming" at me) any tips how to get rid of it or even tips on setting up effects in general?
(or if this thing isn't rlly meant for recording and if i should get something else)

Is it one of your originals ? Would love it if its one
