If you took that, sold it for like 90 or 80 then you would have a good momentum boost to help you buy upward for a chance to beat Loverfella. The Notch apples can't be farmed or crafted, they're only found in dungeons or creative mode. Not to say they're the most valuable item on the server, but the fact that Loverfella left that in a chest and didn't sell it presented a moment of vulnerability that you could have capitalized on.
