First of all, I love the ministry of Christ Church and I greatly appreciate Pastor Wilson. I not only love that this is a message to kids, but that he's talking to them on a mature level, not down to them. And thank you for not using that grating, sing-song voce that people use with kids, or for using silly, superhero analogies. That said, I still don't understand the baptizing babies thing. The, "A mouse born in a biscuit box isn't a biscuit" quote, meaning that just because you have Christian parents and grew up going to church from infancy does not make you a Christian is exactly right. That's one part of the reasoning/argument against baptizing babies/young children who can't possibly understand what they are doing. The citizenship / marriage comparison was even more confusing. They're not exact comparisons. You are an American because you were born here or you went through the process of gaining legal citizenship. You are married because you went through that legal process. If you betray your country or your spouse, yes, you are a traitor in those areas BECAUSE you are a citizen or spouse. But you are still an American. You are still married. But if you grew up in church and then betray Christ, it doesn't necessarily mean you were ever a genuine, regenerate, born again Christian in the first place. You're not still a Christian in the way a traitor is still legally an American or an adulterer is still legally married.
