Grasping at expectations is certainly one of the biggest obstacles to genuine love. Learning to break free from expectations is the arising of true love.

He is a wonderful teacher. Always brings a calm presence over me. Root's me in my pure, real being. Enlightenment is the only way to sanity.. but just remember, trying to "attain" enlightenment does not work, BE it!

It is a challenge to meet people in the present moment & not fall into playing the "roles" we think they expect of us etc. It's something that can be done though I believe & something that has the potential to bring people closer together. Meeting people & being present with them without any baggage or expectation would be bliss I feel. SO many relationship problems & tensions come from expectations of how people should behave & react to us. If we just let go & stop the "patterns" it no longer matters how others behave around us.

Thank you Eckhart, with your advices, your
life philosophy I am becoming happy and happier with the simplicity of truth life. I call you “Peace Revolutionary Being”.
I live spontaneously & communicate spontaneously with people who enjoy my presence. What my essence is can not be spoken or written with words.
Thanks to my son Markus who introduced me to you. Namaste Eckhart.

He seems to be constantly in the deepest chasms of his counter conscience. Animal instinct stacked with high intelligence is only currently among the rarest types of great minds, I'd reckon. The words come out slowly but he seems to be writing each segment he does, backwards and forwards simultaneously. I miss being able to simply just "talk", like it was just a reaction akin to sneezing. There's a comfort just in the way he communicates it.

Relationship births from being present and grows with taking breaks periodically and becomes a reality in the real sense of a real relationship when being is absent and one isn't even aware of it and possibly notices by keen rationale.

I don't agree. Rather, I think we simply have not been thought that way of being when it was so crucial, ie: from 0 to 6 or 7 years old. We simply had ignorants parents just like us. The great news is It's never too late to change for the better.

How can I be present and not enable my partners unconsciousness when they are reactive towards me? Is there an amount of time one can invest with being present until you realize the person you are with just may not ever get it or never change? I have not talked with her about being in the present moment, as I do not know how to without it affecting her unconscious mind, please share any suggestions.
    Some background:
I know she is reactive due to her inability to cope and her reaction is about her and her inability. I'm trying to not enable her not to be negative, being present is a new idea to me; so I am trying to be present myself and as I do, I realize she consistently is looking for validation and reassurance for how she feels and I don't believe this is healthy for either of us. I feel like the only way this relationship will work is if I don't say anything, she takes it very personal if I point out an error or something that causes her to react, or if I tell her I can not enable her and try to discuss with her why I could be enabling. Obviously this could cause someone to take this personal, but I really try discussing kindly and tell her I can't answer some questions cause I care about her. If I stay present and try to allow her to just be, I find it very difficult to be ok with her whining, complaining, and need for validation/reassurance. I want this relationship to work, but I do not know if or when she will be less reactive and more present.

My biggest problem in life is that I live in the past. I bring old problems with me. Sometimes I bring problems that's even unrelated to the current problem. Even though in the presence the past is irrelevant. My new reactions can pick up in the angry state I was in the last problem. someone asking a "stupid" question again is a perfect example. It does not even have to be the same person. It does not even have to be the same question. My reactions still starts in full frustration because of the earlier stupid question that could even have been a long time ago by then.
I wish I could control my thoughts. But I cant. And therefor I cant be present really. Thoughts just happen.
its all about accepting the stupid questions to happen really. The question happened and its ok. It does not really matter. I always envy the people I see master this practice. And they are not even aware that they have accepted bad things to come in life. It just comes to show you cant really practice this. If you want to realize it, it just have to happen. Its not under your control.

    • @UCHTT
      @UCHTT 7 років тому +2

Landbergaren Videos IMHO you first have to believe it (that you are in control of everything inside of you at the conscious level). ET explains in the Power of Now that we sometimes resist what 'is' and that's where we lose our presence and also start to become less conscious (I'm not quoting the book, more paraphrasing). I reckon that at first, you should accept your current state of being; get to know it; get to know exactly what triggers your emotions, what your emotions feel like inside, the patterns you go through when they feel negative, but do exactly the same for your positive feelings too. You have all the theory in place which is a good start for you but it's practice that is required. I'm by no means perfect and believe me I do struggle with baggage sometimes too, but the past [truly] only serves to uphold the ego and sense of self and identity. Maybe stupid questions are the ego's way of believing it's smarter than the other? Maybe the anger is the ego's means of protection against a bad experience in the past? Get to the root of these types of questions and you will be on the way to the beautiful 'you' that's under what you believe are your problems. Good luck x

I admire Eckhart Tolle’s teaching skills, and agree with 99% of what I have heard him say on the two videos I watched. However, I think people make a big mistake when they use the word “spiritual” in any way other than to criticize the myth of spirituality. There are no “souls” and no spirits.
Google the words *calder meditation and the brain* - UA-cam video
    and
*calder do you have a soul?* - essay that reveals the impossibility of reincarnation and soul

You as you know and experience yourself in this paradigm are never present, never being. Time is a constant flow. The moment you thinking you're being it's already gone. Humans are living a continuity of the past. He's using the past, memory, in order to discuss the present. Not a bad way to make a living though.
