Thanks a lot! This video was very helpful and easy to understand! What I don’t understand though is how you don’t have more subscribers yet?! You’re good at explaining and your art looks gorgeous! You’re so underrated I hope you gain the following you deserve, have a wonderful day/night
I have *no* idea why you have so few subscribers, but I expect you to blow up. This was clear and concise, very helpful, and informative, and also not information I've seen in any other of the hundreds of art videos I've watched! thanks so much!
In your journey in art, there will be times where you want to find “the right brush” but something didn’t click with you and the unexpected ones may suit your vibe and style more. Experimenting is important, needless to say. Btw thank you for the Japanese terms advice!
Yes. Most of times i have to make my own brush, because its hard find the things who match with my style, expecially things like leaves, i have to make my own, because the ones over there are too detailed and my styke is more cartoonish
Assets really helped me to get my very few favorite brushes. It had a pencil one that I use for lining now for years, and a grass brush that you can simply use and it blends grass and it will always look pro etc. I also recommend going moreoften to the "new" section since there are a lot of great brushes too that will not show up ever in the popular tags
I had so much fun looking for brushes and trying them out, best part is a lot of the brushes are free. Thank you for taking the time to do this tutorial! Excellent video
hi, i'm new to clip studio paint. I bought it like 2 days ago and it's rly help me out for beginning to use the clip studio paint. Thank you very much. Also you're english is very easy to understand since i'm japanese.
Whoa! The wonders of UA-cam algorithm! I moved from photoshop to clip studio few days ago and actually had no idea about the assets/materials tab. Most of my PS brushes didn’t import too well so was in need of some new ones.
BLESS U FOR THIS!!! my favourite thing to do is downloading assets off of the clip studio assets store instead of actually trying to improve my art, i cant wait to download hundreds of brushes i'll never touch!! jokes aside this is really helpful and i'm excited to try out new tools i didn't have access to before!
Thank you sooooo much for this because I always wondered what brushes they use. I did know about the G pen one since I actually have the pen for traditional art. It's interesting and new to learn, but I can see the appeal in using it for manga lineart.
I feel like every artist should consider making the active decision to use as many different brushes as they can when they're starting out or be shown what brushes work best for what use, or what brushes are normally used in any given art style. Defining the expectation and cataloging and organizing that information and making it redily available might be extremely effective in creating a language for deciding what brushes should be applied to a work or desired style; much like how fonts art understood to all be slightly different, with different uses and associated sentiments, but still art understood at a categorical level, with the idea of different groupsing being placed under umbrellas of use and evoked meaning.
This is such a nice video!! Thank you so much!! I got into watching hololive in september last year and ever since then ive been wanting to draw more fanart, but the painting always looks off because of the brush textures i have 😔 Im gonna try using this one, hopefully my paintings look nicer;;; Thank you for making this!! (Also your art is sooo pretty i love it!!)
Can any kind soul please tell me how much is the member pass thing for Clip studio? I tried to get one but they never show the price of the Member pass.
Hi. I am partly color blind and really struggle with shading. Imo I need to know what to do after I apply a flat color. I am unsure if shadows are the same color just darker or a completely different color.
I say brush matters, sure you can do anything with default brush, but those custom brush make difference. It can make your life easier, or feel comfortable to use depending on your personal feel. But you have to master the default brush first, because the results of your drawing is depend on your skill
I only use 2 brushes, G-PEN and Spray-Soft... and its enough for me. But I do apreciate the japanese terms, I can write japanese myself but that does not mean I know whts written in there when kanjis start to cicle through.
ever since the beginning i've been using the same watercolor brush for EVERYTHING. Everything else just feels so.. weird now xD Although im trying to try out new brushes because they really seem amazing :o
Hope you enjoyed the video! Let me know if you found it helpful 😄

The japanese word list is godsend, thank you so much man!
Man japanese are truly gods of art. I've been using g-pen to do my line art so this video really helped a bunch.
