I’m so glad you actually explained what tantra is and not just the sexual side to it, because it’s difficult to find information on tantra that isn’t all about tantric sex.
See Christopher Wallis's book on Tantra _ Tantra Illuminated, and his translation of The Recognition Sutras. Both are amazing. As it all his other work.
Thank you Gustavo. Finally someone is providing the deepest understanding of this important topic. Tantra is not some kind of pop culture pseudo spirituality. Rather a deep spiritual science. In Him.
Not disappointed at all, I'm happy I found a video on tantra that's about the spiritual practice of it instead of the sexual side. When I went through psychosis I had a direct experience of tantra and it was amazing. Very difficult to put into words what happened but it was both a spiritual and sexual experience.
Thank you for this video. I’ve been told I have healing hands a few times and it was recommended that I learn tantra. I’m here to learn the truth of it

Although misinterprets a few things (e.g. Pranayam is described as practice of withholding breath etc.; which is actually the Pran Ayam i.e., dimension of prana), this is much better than other videos available on the net explaining Tantra. Although the talk about consciousness expanding and merging is somewhat correct but erroneous at the same time. It expands and realizes that it has always been part of the infinite consciousness. It doesn't really merge per say.
Thank you for taking the time to distinguish between western neo tantra and the ancient practices that define what is true Tantra. I am a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner, previously having studied Kundalini yoga and currently studying Buddhist Deity dance, and there are certainly practices within Buddhism that acknowledge the human body as the sacred vessel enabling the direct route to ultimate Liberation.
I have to write a college paper on Tantra and Tantric healing but I didn't know a thing about it before. Now I have a basic understanding of what it is because of this video. Thank you!
This is excellent introduction of Tantra I have ever known. In such a short presentation you have provided the listeners with a wealth of knowledge about Tantra worth of reading hundreds of books on the subject. I am looking forward to learning more from you.

Hey Gustavo! I love this video and I thank you for bringing so much clarity to the subject, and I have some observations: 0:18 "Tantra is a spiritual science..." I think "culture" is more appropriate than "science". "Science" is so modern and reductionist. Yes, it applies, but if Tantra predates language, and our modern practice is to revere the archaic ways, I assert that our hearts are engaged with sacred culture even though our bodies are repeating modern versions of the eight-fold path. 0:28 "Tan means..." Defining the word is a good start, but unless you separate the Tantric world from all dualistic worlds, you have not adequately embraced the depth of difference between Tantra and Non-Tantra. This is crucial because non-Tantrists do not understand Advaita (non-duality). 0:44 "The basic premise in Tantra..." I wish you would use "gaian mind" instead of "all unit beings". 7:25 "Sorry...Tantra is not about sex". The burning question is "what is Tantric sex?" I think that question has an answer; do you?
Very nicely done in a concise presentation. Yes, westernization, as most of the time, degrades the true practice of Tantra to sex alone. It’s so much more spiritually. From a practitioner. 🙏

Have you ever noticed at times the next day after a tantric practice, certain people all of sudden seem angry around you or wanting to challenge you in some way. Most times I notice people trying to get a lil too 'close'.
I think its the energy they have transmuted after the practice and they cant control the emotional force properly and they need something to do to realese the enegy on and they have none coz that energy needs to go out in some creative way or sports,so they want your challenge😂
The average person who is subject to their animal desire is evil, and hate what is good. They can sense it, but do not understand and instinctively lash out.
Tantrism has persisted and thrived throughout Asian history since the middle of the first millennium. It deals with spiritual practices and ritual forms of worship aiming at liberation from ignorance and rebirth. The universe is regarded as the godly play of Shakti and Shiva. Tantrism developed into a tradition by the end of the Gupta reign. However it has influenced major religions like Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism and Jainism. Tantrism is characterized by the use of rituals thereby identifying macrocosm and microcosm. In Tantrism one uses the heavenly power that flows through the universe to achieve certain goals.
Thank you for this educational video, i'm just commenting on what you said at 11:15 and I would like to correct what you said about other religions not having a place for the body. That is simply not true. The Islamic prayer incorporates physical body postures practiced 5 times a day mindfully, It is the core of the religious practice.
And interestingly enough, the word for religion in Arabic is Diyana which is the same as Dhiyana, the 7th limb. There are so many correlations between the two cultures.
You say "the word for religion" but may I ask what is the exact meaning of the Arabic word Diyana? What is the root of the word? For instance the root of the word 'religion' is re- + ligere which means "to re-join, or to become one with [God] again". Unfortunately the modern meaning of religion has many other mundane and divisive connotations.

Seems honesty and logical. May i start listening you and start again....By the way for last four years I have been practising vipassana, but the MARA is still present in me. I am still full of jealousy, anger, lust and all sorts of impurity... Nothing has changed. I have been big time listener of Jiddu and UG krishnamurti along with Ekhart, Alan watts. But seriously nothing has changed in me. In short, I AM FULL of GRASPING and CRAVING.
Leary’s video how to operate your brain and LSD have helped me
God bless you.

Thank you for making a video explaining what tantra is.
You’re welcome. Hope you enjoy more videos on my channel.
Disappointed? Not at all. I'm actually quite pleased that there is so much more to Tantra.
I've only just discovered it, after a lifetime of thinking it _was_ just a form of sex.
As my spiritual side grows, I'm fascinated by the depths of knowledge I have inadvertently been avoiding.
Thank you

Where I can find more about the historical guru Shiva? Whenever I search, all I can find is the Deity.
I recommend a book called the Wisdom of Yoga by Ramesh Bjonnes. Are you interested in learning Tantric meditation?

The moment when you go, "Ah, I am merging with the Infinite Consciousness!" - can you describe that experience? Are you saying that the Infinite Consciousness actually exists or is it just a convenient term to describe a feat that our physical human brain is capable of? If the former, can anyone who has experienced Infinite Consciousness describe the shapes and contours of this reality?
Please come and ask your question live at the Online Meditation.
I love your energy and positive approach to describing these things. Subscribed!!

Do you somewhere mention Osho in your tantra science?
Have you ever noticed at times the next day after a tantric practice, certain people all of sudden seem angry around you or wanting to challenge you in some way. Most times I notice people trying to get a lil too 'close'.
Why do you think that is? Asking out of curiosity - I'm new to this
I think that's the ego trying to break peace
Thank you for your great comments! Namaskar!
Thanks a lot.
Wonderful talking.
could tantra treat ptsd (post-traumatic stress disorder)
Yes
Yes! Have been really struggling with ptsd and even EMDR therapie didn't help. Tantra helped me and I have never been happier
There is no magic-bullet cure, of course, but it's worth exploring.
Thanks for your comment! Do you practice meditation?
yes I do, but not regularly.
thats what i was gonna say
You say "the word for religion" but may I ask what is the exact meaning of the Arabic word Diyana? What is the root of the word? For instance the root of the word 'religion' is re- + ligere which means "to re-join, or to become one with [God] again". Unfortunately the modern meaning of religion has many other mundane and divisive connotations.
