Loving the Vlog, Turkey looks awesome (apart from the rain). Never driven a motorhome (I’m a bus driver, so used to larger vehicles) but really love watching all you guys having fun on your travels. Both myself and my wife are in our 50’s but looking for an alternative way of life and van life is something we are giving serious thought to. Safe driving and looking forward to watching your next instalment.
Thanks Steve! We totally recommend vanlife, it's one of the best decisions we ever made. But it comes with ALOT of struggles and inconveniences, but if you are happy to live a more conscious life and experience freedom then we defo say GO FOR IT!! Any advice or queries about van build or living this way in general just send them our way 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for the video 🧡🧡🧡 Was a bit behind but played catch up this weekend. That river so breath taking. I've added this to my list of thinks I want to see before I die 👍
that gorge and river were GORGEOUS!! hope you're feeling better Philly and not sharing your ICK with Keely 😊.. I missed why you are on only water for January.. thats ROUGH! One day without my coffee and I would be down with headaches for the count. Thanks for sharing your travels ... always fun to hang out with you. God bless, happy travels!
It was a challenge he set himself water only, apparently dry January wasn't enough haha!! He seems to be better now thankfully, couldn't have dealt with the man flu much longer 🤣🤣 thanks so much for watching Kathi 🥰🥰
I met so many dogs in Greece like you did here. The big ones can be a bit intimidating as I think they are desperate to find some food. Fortunately I was always in the car when a pack of really big dogs came to meet me! It's pretty sad seeing so many stray dogs, but they don't seem too skinny so much find enough food somewhere.
@@phillyandkeely we'd love to go to Turkey but won't have enough time. We're heading to Croatia for 8 weeks, then up through Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and possibly Morroco. Hopefully we can cover all of the above in 4 months... 😏
@@wardswhereabouts4694 wow sounds incredible!! We spent two months in Croatia too, you will be able to see every inch of it in that time, funny when three months felt like we barely scratched the surface of Spain, but two months felt like most of Croatia. Probably Because it's so narrow it's quicker to drive up and down. You plannin to wildcamp a lot or campsite? We can recommend some good wildcamping spots if ya want 🥰
Never eat shredded wheat 🤗 lol. It be nice if you guys did some intros with the other van lifers if they would be up for that to help showcase eachothers channels. 🙂 but I know you cus this video up so maybe that's in part 2? Also what is with u guys and animals, ur like Dr doolittle
This was our first time, and it was delicious!! We don't eat out very often here, but if you have any other recommendations for local food we can try that is vegan friendly we would love to hear them 🥰🥰
@@phillyandkeely Sure. All dishes prepared with olive oil such as those mezes you had are good. Very few mezes are have any form of meat in them. Cheese pide. Kunefe. Katmer. Bamya. Bakla. Fava. Piyaz. Barbunya Pilaki. Kısır. Kuru Fasulye are vegan friendly dishes. You can find a lot of these at cafeteria type restaurants (lokanta) that sell home cooked dishes usually all on display for easy selection. A kot of kebaps and meat dishes are not eaten regularly at home as they are hard to prepare. So we don't have 24/7 meat skewers or wood fired ovens in our homes. We go out for those. That's why there are so masny kebab shops. Be careful to ask exactly what ingredients they use as they may use animal fat or butter or some other non-vegan product.. BTW Hhummus is not a common dish here but if you really want prime Hummus you need to go to Hatay. .
@@ohcaptainmy that all sounds amazing, I feel hungry just reading that 🤣 awesome, we are going to try eat out more often as it's so delicious and good value 🥰🥰 we had some INSANELY delicious Pide in Antalya, the bread is so doughy and light it's incredible, and we are addicted to Cig Kofte. Looking forward to branching out and trying these recommendations, we really appreciate it thankyou
I don't know where you are currently but right now we're experiencing a terrible weather (obviously I've seen these kind of winters in the past as well but they didn'rt spread this much to the whole Anatolian peninsula at this scale)so my recommendation at least for a couple of days just stay away from long trips. If you're in a big city such as Izmir, that's perfect, just stay at where you are and obviously stay away from the inner Anatolia, at least around the coastline it's a bit less effective.
Thankyou so much for this advice, there has been some crazy storms here, definitely some of the loudest thunder we have experienced in our life. I almost thought it was an earthquake because it made the whole van tremble! We have decided to stay around one place and not do too much driving, so we appreciate that advice.
Always happy when I find another vlog🎉🎉🎉🎉
🥰🥰
It’s amazing how many stray animals you’ve encountered on your travels . They all seem well feed .
Yeah we absolutely love lol animals, my sister jokes we are like Doctor Dolittle haha

Yeah their size is scary, but so far their temperament has been lovely. Stray animals melt our hearts 🥰🥰🥰
@@phillyandkeely Yeah, I just want to take a dog with me and give it a home, but so many how would you choose!

Merhabalar. İyi gezmeler.
Teşekkürler! Türkiye gezimizden çok keyif alıyoruz
If I had a giant snail to ride around on, I would definitely sit on the shell to keep the seat of my trousers away from the slime! 😆😆😆😎👍
Maybe we could design a saddle like for a horse to ride around on on our snails 🤣🤣🤣

One suggestion if I may. When you guys are in remote places please take a small batch of cat and dog food and feed them.
We have just stocked up 🥰🥰 looking forward to giving them some treats as well as cuddles!! Thanks so much for the suggestion 🐈🐕❤️
